Honestly, some of the best tacos in the Temecula area. The meat has amazing flavor, we had tacos de adobada and carnitas. The carnitas are throw on the flat top to give it a little crunch which my wife loved and the adobada is perfectly marinated. The hand made tortillas are made fresh to order, variety of salsas and chile/cebolla asado (grilled seranos and onion) available at their salsa bar. The service was very friendly, quick and clean. My ONLY real complaint was the price. Almost $5 a taco would seem criminal 10 years ago but that's really just how today's economy is, but the food is definitely worth it. You would be paying the same price at any other "taco shop" in the area, I'm just glad they were authentic! I would definitely come back again. read more

We were on the hunt for Mexican food after a day of wine tasting and found this place nearby. It was a Saturday evening and this place was dead don't know if that's a good or bad sign but one thing that stood out to me was service. The cashier was not friendly and just weirdly staring at us as we are trying to figure out what to order. She could have asked if we had questions or needed help but didn't. Moving onto the food. They have an extensive menu lots of variety to choose from and we were in a group so we ordered a variety of items from the Super Cali Burrito, Birria quesadilla, Steak bowl and others I can't remember. I didn't eat at the actual place, I door dashed this and felt like I needed to do a review. Even when it was delivery, the food was still good. The taco wasn't soggy and still crunchy. The adobada in my mulita was greasy, but when is adobada not? The only thing I couldn't get down with is the poblano burrito. The poblano wasn't good at all texture wise. Food is extremely flavorful. However their tv is so loud the order taker cannot hear your order. We ordered a gubernatorial taco bierria taco surf and turf taco a carne asada taco and a cup of corn with a coke (fountain) and a draft XX. The order taker upcharged us for a Mexican bottle of coke and a surf and turf burrito and tried to ring up a carne asada burrito as well. Then when I corrected the order upon receiving the wrong items she informed me that the manager was not there and they could not give me a refund he had to. This is the kind of Mexican food joint that makes food either hit or miss and mostly OK tasting. I dare say their food is more expensive than other places. Today I just felt like a quesibirria. I see the option to add more cheese for an extra 1.39$, really lame. Other places near my home in San Diego just throw in more cheese at no cost AND on top of that they include the consume soup. I had to pay an extra 3$ for a small cup. The tacos definitely needed more cheese. I was disappointed that it lacked that oomph for me to enjoy it. The birria soup had a really good flavor but wasnt yummy oily like im used to. I also ordered a shrimp taco but that tasted awful. My surf n turf fries had little flavor and the beef was bland. My order came out exactly how I asked so thats always nice. The inside looks like a cool hangout. This place missed the mark for me. Its quite pricey for just mostly ok food. Food quality & quantity is hit or miss, more misses than hits as of lately. Enough to not want to come back. The last time we came, we ordered a chicken burrito and I'm not being hyperbole when I tell you it had 5 or small pieces of chicken, it's like we paid for pico de gallo wrapped in a flour tortilla. The service is nice and place is clean, but I just can't do paying $14 for a tiny burrito full of veggies basically. In the beginning they were pretty consistent with the size, but I'm not sure what happened. This is probably the only fast food "taco bar" I would take my mature, professional friends to dine in for lunch. The dining area is super clean and the contemporary furnishing is appealing. I also love that there's an extra large booth in the corner for a party of 6+ with some privacy. The other tables look like they can be moved to accommodate other large groups, as well. The well marinated chicken taco I ordered was pretty epic (for a taco) because of the handcrafted tortilla it was made with. They also have a salsa bar with freshly roasted medium hot chilis that added a special kick. I can eat this every day for the rest of my life, LOL! Service is friendly. I'm worried that the location seems out of the way--definitely a hidden gem. This is why I didn't hesitate to write this review ASAP to get the word out and make sure this business will succeed and stick around forever!!! My search for the best breakfast burrito in the area brings me to El Taco Bar, which I would have never found on my own, and glad I did! Tucked back by the Starbucks facing away from the parkway it's easy to miss. The inside is spacious, well lit and very clean. I'm the first customer today, the staff were very friendly and stayed busy the whole time preparing for the day. Good to see great customer service and good work ethic. The salsa bar had 4 salsas and peppers, instead of the typical carrots I see as standard. The peppers are a dice roll of heat, ate 4 and 2 got me a little hot, the other two were mild. The Habanero Salsa had me excited, but surprisingly wasn't very hot; it was however vibrant and the sweet, bright habanero flavor was showcased. The burrito was fresh off the griddle with a good melt to the cheese. The potatoes were chunky slices and not the chunks, which I found very pleasant as I never had a bite that was mostly potato. The egg, potato, bacon and cheese ratio was great, but the star that tied this together was a special sauce they add on the final toss before getting wrapped in tortilla. You can see it oozing like flavor lava and it does add an extra unexpected element to an otherwise standard Bacon Burrito. It's not a giant burrito, but very satisfying; I feel like I want more because it was so delicious, but I know I don't have room to eat another. Overall Location would be a 4.5 star but, it might keep it from getting too busy and locals might like it that way. Super clean and comfortable 5 star for the Staff at this time in the morning 5 stars for the burrito. Size, flavor, composition for the price, I'd consider this a great value, well worth it. read more

Honestly, pretty good! I think a lot of Mexican places either give you boujee taco shop vibes or just mom and pop, and I think it's a little of both which is cool. We got surf and turf fries which were delicious but could have definitely used a bit more shrimp. Their chipotle sauce is great and thought it was a nice little change up from regular carne asada fries. The jamaica was good, nothing crazy. I'm someone who prefers theirs a bit richer in color and flavor so I probably wouldn't get it again. The rolled tacos were the only things we were a little dissatisfied with because they weren't super crunchy and tasted like they had sat for a while. Not to say that they weren't a good flavor but you know, that rolled taco when it's done right is hard to beat. We were pretty about it overall, just a bit more on the expensive side. However, with the cost of everything now, maybe that's just the norm? Try it for yourself, see what you like. Mexican food doesn't have to be polarizing lol. read more

She tried bringing the cook into the conversation to convolute matters worse. She argued over and over again rather than fix the problem she created by misinforming a customer. I was sad to see how slow this place was. I found it on whim craving tacos during a class I was in all day. When I say these tacos were amazing... I mean they were AMAZING! It definitely hit the spot for my taco craving. If you get the birria you need to dunk them in that consume... I could have drank an entire cup of it! Fish taco was huge, perfectly crunchy and so flavorful! Shrimp taco could have used a few more shrimp but that cheesy goodness with what tasted like pickle spicy onions was a perfect combo! I've been here several times and the food is excellent. Their California Burrito is my go to and is as good as any I've tried in So Cal. Just the right ratio of fries to steak, and comes with guacamole and sour cream. It's got a modern and clean ambiance multiple TVs, salsa bar and self serve beverages. Theres also a good selection of beers on tap. Celene took our order at the register and was nice enough to bring our food out to our table and a knife to split it with my wife.
