But shower heads were $30-40 compared to $60 at the big home improvement store. Sometimes they have big appliances like fridges, washers, dryers. Big selection of clothing including shoes. They have some furniture as well. (Mattresses, couches, tables.) It's very clean and well organized. The store doesn't smell bad. It's a pleasant shopping experience. There's stuff brand new in the box. If I'm already in the area or nearby I would pop in to see what new inventory they have. I think as long as you think of it almost like a thrift store (no guarantee what you'll find that day although they have a little bit of everything and at what price) you'd be setting reasonable expectations for yourself.

They are an outlet for returns and damaged items, overstock, etc for big box stores like Costco, Sam's Club and Target, so you just have to know the prices of things or you need to search for the original prices on your phone. Generally, their food items are pretty good deals, but you need to check for items being expired or nearing expiration. Today the store was packed full of stuff and to my surprise, plenty of shoppers! They have a good amount of furniture and appliances today. When I brought it to the register, the cashier removed the tag and said it couldn't be sold because it had been priced incorrectly. I understand mistakes happen, and I wasn't asking to get it for the incorrect price. I simply asked if it could be repriced and held so I could come back and purchase it at the correct price. I was told no, and the response included laughter and a comment like, "Haha, yeah, probably not," which left me feeling embarrassed. My concern isn't the policy: it's how the interaction was handled!!! A little empathy would have made a disappointing situation much easier to accept. I hope management reviews how situations like this are communicated, because this has otherwise been a great neighborhood thrift store.

The prices are reasonable, selection is okay. I was hoping to find a crystal whiskey decanter set, but didn't find one. Some things are kinda shabby, but others are quite alright. I like the service. Cashier had no qualms about me using a bathroom (ask for a key) and the bathroom didn't stink. I think I am developing an appreciation for clean public and semi-public restrooms as I am getting older. I might not make a drive of 40+ miles just to check out the store again, but I'll probably stop by as I pass through in the future.

ReStore is literally in a category of its own…read more This is THE largest thrift space I have ever been in. But it isn't the quantity the blows you away. It's the quality. The first sofa that struck my eye was sweetly priced. Alas my small space couldn't handle this piece even if I tossed out 2-3 pieces just to make room. Regret. I shouldn't have sat in it because the instant "OMG, this is so good " just intensified the regret. I just wandered around in a sea of temptation. Every time I turned a corner the space opened up even bigger. The dining section is nothing less than phenomenal. There was classic china both vintage and modern. There were delightful curios for the table and for all your nooks and corners. There were tea and coffee services, punch bowls, complete silver services some clearly heirloom quality. And then there was more! The tool section! Power tools, hand tools, parts, fasteners. And not just random odds and ends but stacks of each item clearly leftover from a major building project. Like the paint section. To my inexpert eye, there's enough to paint a small house. Prices ranged from "they just want to get rid of this" to " I'm pretty sure a big box store somewhere out there might have a better sale" . The latter usually applied to obviously new items still in their original packaging. Some packages were still factory sealed. To be honest, I regretted not eating enough lunch and bringing some water. The size of the store was just wearing me out. I clearly need to come back with a list. It's so big in there, you can't just randomly browse you need to focus. Just off the top of my head, I've been looking for glass dinner plates for ages. It's something I keep an eye out for when I'm shopping, but I just haven't randomly encountered any that I liked. Boom! And just exactly which style would I like? For once too much selection was the problem. Well, that's a great problem for any store to have. When I got a chance to interact with the staff, they were completely delightful. I pride myself on my nose for bargains and yet I have completely neglected the HomeGoods chain…read more This is my first visit to a HomeGoods store, and after surveying the stock, I must admit I am deeply ashamed of myself. I've been missing out! The store is nicely organized into sections. Although for some of the sections items were rather jumbled, and there was a bit of a rummage needed HomeGoods differs from other discounted stores with their extensive stock of familiar and somewhat higher end brands. Just to pick out something randomly I noticed they had Dr. Bronner's soaps and some Dr. Teals products. Unlike other discounted chains, I've heard of and used both their products in the past and I was pleased with both. They also had brands which I own, the globals and the aroma. The discounts were quite reasonable. But I am a pretty hardened shopper. I have a nearly impenetrable defense which generates a force field which the store must break down possibly using a photon torpedo. Here are some of the factors which must be overcomed 1) Duplication: happens more often than not. 2) practical. 3) I don't have much space. 4) a genuine discount. Not those frou -frou 20% off fake sales. Stay away from stores that raise the original price for sales. Macys I'm looking at you. 5) Must equal or exceeds the quality and performance of what I already have. 6) Must be in one of my areas of interest. That would be cooking, books or for some mysterious reason my sock addiction. 7) All resistance can be eliminated if the item is beautiful. HomeGoods came really, really close to punching through the protective force field, melting my brain and turning me into a complete zombie who would willingly shuffle to the register, precious cargo loaded in my arms, and burning a hole in my credit cards. There is absolutely no doubt if I keep returning to the store, I will be zombified. Now that is what I call a great store!

The saleslady, her name is Kaitlin, at the counter told me that she was closing out before my turn. So, I have to moved to another counter. So I noticed she cleaned the other counter and after a few minutes went back to her counter and ask customers to ring their stuff. All the while I thought she will closed her register, but no she just don't want to ring my stuff. So I complain about what she did, she mentioned because there's a long line to where I was in que. So I was upset and I told her that was a stupid decision on her part. She lacks customer service, so she called her assistant manager and even her manager, don't know what customer service is. Not even an apology for what her colleague did to me. I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO THIS STORE ANYMORE!!! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!
