Prices are reasonable and customer service was excellent!!! The cat fish I ordered was very tasteful, fresh and well prepared. I had the fish cooked there which is offered when ordering but if you wish you can buy and take it home to prepare yourself. I would have given a five star review rating but due the the present Covid 19" situation some patons are not following the new rules that have been recently instated and were entering the market without wearing a mask and also being impatient about not entering the market when there were over the amount of patrons already allowed in. It's nonsense and makes ordering and paying confusing if you're not a regular. I finally got around to trying the family fish market and I was not disappointed. The catfish was absolutely fantastic, perfectly cooked with a great seasoning. I ordered 2 pieces of catfish and ended up with around 10 large filets. It was hot and fresh. The hush puppies were a different story, I was disappointed with them. They were not cooked in the middle and cold. I don't know if it was because we were there right before they closed. I am going to give them another try. I am from the south and I have not been able to find a decent hush puppy since I moved here. So I am going to try it one more time and keep my fingers crossed. I also had a small order of frys they were ok nothing special. I am looking forward to trying the other seafood on the menu. I was surprised to see that they had sand daps and I definitely would like to try those. The oysters and shrimp are my next try. I hope that they are half as good as the catfish. I tried Family Fish for the first time today. I ordered a red snapper lunch with fries and macaroni salad. The fish was fresh, and fried to perfection with a nice cornmeal to flour ratio and seasoned well. The sole reason I came into Family Fish Market is because my sister told me their fish was amazing. I definitely have to agree in that department ! I bought the 3 piece fish combo. It came with two sides, I chose potato salad and steam rice. I enjoyed every portion of the meal ! Although when I first looked at the plate I felt the portions were small and the 8 oz sides seemed to be less than 8 oz; I was full before I completed the meal and destroyed the leftovers later. The leftovers were just as good as the first time. Going back tonight. Been looking for a great place to eat that provides real home cooked food. I got home open the bag and (GAG) my whole house had the WORST fish odor I've ever smelled in my entire life!!!! The fish wasn't fresh at all...needless to say I didn't feed this to my family we had to eat something else! I left the windows open ALL NIGHT to get the smell out and the next day (Today) the smell was STILL there!!!
