Back again as I was back in the area. Eddie is truly an awesome guy - super kind to everyone who walks into his shop. It is cash only so keep that in mind! He clearly cares about the food he serves - the ambiance is so old school and nostalgic with those benches and red tables. I'll come back every single time I come back to visit my home town.

Empty pizza plate, regular slices were so good!

I don't like pizza, but I like Eddie's pizza! Pizza is not the same as I remember from the 70's, except here. So, on the rare occasion I want pizza, I'll be at this place. More of a take out vibe, and always friendly service from Eddie. P.S. I saw someone thought these reviews weren't real, but since I already ate two slices, the only proof is a picture of my plate with nothing left but pizza marks.

Wow! One of the best slices I've ever had in NYC! I was blown away! I unfortunately didn't get to take a picture of the pies but at least I got a pic of two slices! It was so good that I even ate my 3rd slice cold! I never eat pizza cold so that's how you know it was good lol I would def like to come back here if I'm ever in North Valley Stream!

A taste of the Cheese Pizza!

From the moment I walked in, I knew it was going to be a great experience. This place is exactly what you want when you go for a ny slice! Crispy, flavorful, and fresh! Eddie is a wonderful person and excellent cook! You can taste the pride he puts in making the best quality food! Near the back, there is plenty of seating if you decide to eat in! 10/10, highly recommend!

Classic old style NYC pizza, what's not to love? 2 gold medal slices and a can of soda for $6.50, plus Eddie threw me a free shirt. Love this guy. Love this place. Great energy and ambiance. I'll be back for certain.

I've also spent time in Napoli, and Via Cuma is about as authentic as it gets. The pizza genuinely reminded me of the pizza I had in Naples. The owner told us they import their ingredients directly from Napoli, including the dough, and you can absolutely taste the difference. In my opinion, this is the best Neapolitan-style pizza I've tried in New York so far, and that's saying a lot because I've tried many! The place also has a cute, quaint ambiance that makes it feel warm and inviting. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which adds even more to the experience. Great pizza, great people, and a charming little spot that I'll definitely be coming back to. If you're a fan of authentic Neapolitan pizza, Via Cuma is an absolute must!

I appreciate Cuts & Slices for developing a new pizza (za) taste. Something new to the world of ZA, differentiality! I tried the oxtail Za and the sweet chilli shrimp. The first time, I ordered the fried calamari with red pepper sauce for $24. There was far more breading than actual calamari, and the dish was severely lacking in seasoning. It honestly made me wonder if anyone in the kitchen had heard of salt and pepper. After I called to explain my experience, the staff acknowledged that they had received similar complaints about their takeout calamari and invited me back so they could make it right. Today, I stopped in and ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza with sausage and extra cheese. Unfortunately, the experience was no better. The pizza wasn't even heated enough to melt the cheese. The sausage appeared undercooked, wasn't sliced properly, and was served in large chunks. I work on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the city, where a comparable slice costs about $6. Here, I paid $8 for a slice that was bland and lacked flavor. If you're considering dining here, I would recommend spending your hard-earned money elsewhere. Based on my experiences, the food was overpriced, poorly prepared, and simply not worth it.
