Service is good. However I ordered the cluck sandwich to go and wasn't satisfied. Chicken was super thin and on top of that, super tough & dry like beef jerky and I couldn't even chew it! Seemed like it was left over fried chicken that was refried. And this is the second time I ordered this and was disappointed both times. When my daughter's soccer tournament rotation finds us spending the better part of a weekend in lovely Highland, CA at the spike-top fence field nestled in the middle of a high-density homeless population... the need for a comfortable, pleasant, and safe restaurant to feed the team between games it's important. Today, we discovered Corky's just down the road a bit, and we were very impressed. First, we called ahead on Valentine's morning to let them know we were coming with 20+ people. No problem-- when we arrived, the staff welcomed us as other staff was preparing a long table for our group on the patio. No trouble for separate checks. Constant amazing service-- coffees and waters never fell below half full, and everyone was positive and attentive. The menu is substantial, but everything was delicious. My 5-egg omelet was delicious, and the kid's strawberry pancake stack was decadent and delicious looking (i fought the urge to break my low carb kick...) I make it a point to try chorizo breakfast burritos whenever I visit a restaurant, and I can honestly say this was one of the best I've had. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The chorizo was flavorful without being greasy, the potatoes were perfectly crisp, and the cheese was melted throughout the burrito. The avocado was fresh and paired perfectly with the other ingredients. Even the flour tortilla stood out soft, fresh, and held everything together beautifully. The portion size was huge. I couldn't finish the entire burrito, but every bite was delicious and satisfying. The salsa served on the side was the perfect complement and added just the right amount of flavor and heat. The service was also outstanding. Our food came out quickly, and everything arrived fresh, hot, and exactly as ordered. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Big portions, well-prepared, above & beyond service. Sat on the patio as we had our dog. Lots of tables and covered, which was great 'cus it was hot out. We were the only ones on the patio, but the server came right out to take our order. She brought some ice out with our drinks to cool down our dog's water bowl - so thoughtful. Had hot links & eggs w/fries. 3 hot links & 3 eggs w/a basket of perfectly crisp french fries & sourdough toast. Husband ordered the country Benedict that came w/biscuits & gravy, eggs Benedict and home fries. We both had to get to-go boxes! Their sodas come in large glasses so you don't have to keep asking for refills AND our server asked us if we wanted a to-go soda, which was soooo thoughtful since it was so hot & we still had a long drive home. My Wife and I went for Breakfast today (Memorial Day) and place was packed. But here's the good part, the food was on point and temperature was perfect. Our Waitress Cindi was friendly and though they were slammed at the moment still took time to make it feel like a warm environment, She brought our food out in little time after ordering (Surprising considering how busy they were.) The tables were clean and they even had a dedicated coffee person who was walking and refilling coffee - A Vital Service where I am concerned lol. We had a great overall experience (albeit a bit noisy but I mean, Hey, it was packed) and I felt like Corky's did an incredible job in staffing and food prep on such a frantic day. The food felt rushed so that's why quality was down in my opinion. This was a new restaurant we wanted to try. It has the American diner feel and is known for their pies. I wish would could give Jackie our server 5 stars she tried to give us an amazing experience unfortunately the food fell short. The price of the food and drinks are on the higher side for a diner type of restaurant so we expected quality. We recived bland large meals. I order the eggs and sausage plate and when I got mine they put a hamburger patty instead of the sausage. Jackie was quick with it and had them get a sausage patty working for me, it came out shortly and when received it and took a bit it was raw through out. This is pork so has to be complety cooked or can pass on food born illness. I unfortunately lost my appetite. The rest of my party don't really care for the food so we won't be going back. Dang I really hope that maybe the cooks can do better soon, before I decide not to go back to this location. This has been by far my favorite location since it opened. But my last 2 visits have been a disappointment. Ever since I have tried the oatmeal from my very first Corkys it took me back to my childhood when my Nana used to make my oatmeal before school or on a cold day. Corkys has been the only place that I look forward to have a nice hot bowl of oatmeal. But sadly my last 2 visits my oatmeal was lumpy , chunks of lumps. The first time I was like ummm ok I can understand a mistake, maybe a new cook, etc. But then we stopped in this weekend ordered my oatmeal that I was sooooo looking forward to. Darn it was even more lumpy than the last visit. I was showing my husband these ball's of muck. I tried to take out most of the big lumps. But every time I got one it grossed me out. I just left it. I've been to several locations cuz we really enjoy the food, the portions, the prices and the people. Hopefully this is an easy fix. Cuz this grandma loves corkys grandma's oatmeal. read more

We were here on a late afternoon and it wasn't very busy. The place was very clean. I had the Parmesan burger with an impossible patty and we also got the fish and chips. The burger was delicious and I got the fried onions on the side. You get a hearty portion of fried onions. The fish and chips were cooked to perfection with juicy fish inside. The service was good although the waitress never came back after we ordered but there were plenty of other waiters around to help us. I think she dropped off the check. This place is kind of expensive as usual but at least u do get two meals worth of food for every serving. All in all a good experience. We'll Probably be back. read more
