Boy were the reviews here about this place way off the mark, and while I understand that there is nothing else around the area, it still doesn't warrant such high marks for an establishment that falls below the mark in my opinion. I ordered 5 different tacos and 3 sopes, For the tacos I ordered an al pastor, cecina, lengua, beef and chicken, while for the sopes, I ordered a beef, chicken and cecina. The tacos were all incredibly dry, and meat way too over cooked and tough for it to be enjoyable, I must have been chewing the rubbery meat here the entirety of the meal as opposed to actually enjoying the meal. The fact that there was no delectable guacamole on top of the tacos made them even more dry and less enjoyable. The only redeeming taco here was the chicken, which was season fairly well, and surprisingly a lot less dry and tough than I expected. The sopes were equally as bad, however the sour creme and the beans did help a bit with the dryness. in short you're better off with a taco truck, or my personal favorite around the area, bellas place restaurant

It's a mini bodega store in the front and a cute little restaurant area in the back. I waited a while for my chicken and pork tacos were being made and chilled in the back restaurant area. They had quite a few people eating at the few tables and people ordering to go. They have an extensive menu of Mexican and American foods. I took my food to go and my tacos were just okay and at least very affordable. However, not great enough for me to drive way out to eat just the tacos. On the other hand, I will return to check out a heartier traditional Mexican meal to see if these yelp reviews live up to their hype.

We were looking for a good Mexican spot in the area and found this place on Google. From the…read moreoutside, it honestly looks more like a deli, but don't let that fool you! I noticed they had margaritas, so we decided to give it a try. We were a party of four (three adults and one child). My daughter ordered the salchipapas kids' meal with a mandarin Jarritos, which is her favorite flavor. The adults all ordered margaritas, and they definitely didn't skimp on the tequila--they were strong and delicious! We started with the chicken nachos, and they were excellent. The chips tasted fresh, which made a huge difference. My husband ordered tacos and really enjoyed them as well. Another thing worth mentioning was how clean the restaurant was, especially the bathroom. That's always something I appreciate. This place is pretty far from home for us, but if we're ever back in the neighborhood, we would definitely stop in again. Great food, great drinks, and a pleasant surprise overall!

I got torta milanesa de res (Breaded steak sandwich), my wife got the breaded chicken sandwich and my daughter got the Birria tacos. The special came with a drink and nachos. Everything was better than expected at a very reasonable price! EDIT: My daughter, who is EXTREMELY picky absolutely LOVED her tacos! She is insisting that we have to go back with her friends.

But I went there today with some family and was hoping to find a Mexican restaurant that's comfortable for eating on the property. It's a really small space, I think there were 4 to 6 tables, and somehow I didn't get that from looking at the yelp reviews. For the food alone, the place is at least worth 4 stars. The Guacamole here is better than at many, many places... freshly made, has enough salt, cilantro... I'm a guac snob, and I liked this. The chips are a typical fried tortilla, and they were good. 3 of us had Quesadillas, one with mushrooms, one with beef, and the other with shrimp. We all liked them. One of us got a burrito, which was pretty hefty, and they liked what they got. Same person got a slice of Tres Leches and a slice of cheesecake and loved them. Service was fine. The place is on a corner with plenty of street parking around (on a Saturday afternoon). It's not much to look at but I would return with a smaller group.

But I look at the price online and it should of been around 28 or 30 BUT 50 IS INSANE. I used to come here all the time but after that never again. If you do come here I would HIGHLY SUGGEST THAT YOU CALCULATE WHAT YOU ARE GETTING FROM HERE!!
