A hole in the wall that you don't want to miss! They had a 2 for $22 Tuesday deal, which included two Philly cheesesteaks with onions and two sides of fries. Fries were freshy fresh and so was the sandwich. Perfect lunch or dinner spot for a quick bite. I believe its owner operated - the lady taking our order was the absolute sweetest. You won't be disappointed.

Famous Philly Cheese Steak and Pete's Fish 11-2-24 Arrived at the Cape Corral location Saturday around 1pm. They were not busy as only one table was filled. They took our order fast at the counter. One this you must be aware of is if you use a credit card, they charge an extra 4%. This place is not big, they do have a few tables. We went to sit and two of the tables were dirty from the previous people. My Cheesesteak and my wife's Fish Sandwich was delivered to our table in a reasonable amount of time. My Cheesesteak was hot and very good. I added Onions and Marinara Sauce, but the bread was amazing. They were a little skimpy on the Marinara Sauce on my Cheesesteak, they could have put more on as the bread was a little dry. My wife's Fish was hot and very tasty, and she loved it. The Coleslaw that came with her Sandwich was warm not cold and it needs some improvement. Both sandwiches were good, but the star of the show was the Cheesesteak for sure. First time here, it was just ok. Husband had the Philly cheesesteak which was good, I took a bite, we both like Wicked Good Deli in Ft Myers better. My fish was a little soggy lacking taste, fries were meh. If I came back it wouldn't be for the fish it would be for a Philly. Nice amount of tables inside. Canned or bottled drinks only + some bottled beer.

This afternoon we had to make a trip to the dermatologist. On the way back we saw Pete's Fish and Chips. My son always raves about their food, so we decided to stop. I used my phone to order and pay online and we got a text that our food would be ready in a matter of minutes. The food was delivered curbside to our car. The fish was a large filet, fresh and flaky in a light batter atop of a mound of fries. The shrimp wrap was delish. Large lightly breaded shrimp in a fresh wrap with lettuce and tartar sauce. It was very large and a side order of chips came with it. The coleslaw was fresh and homemade, a little disappointing because the dressing was sort of bland and all we tasted was mayo. We definitely will return and try some of the other goodies on the menu. We appreciate the curbside service and as always, we love supporting our community neighborhood businesses! Thank You!

We stopped in on a whim to try out Pete's fish and chips and we were not disappointed. We ordered the shrimp basket and the classic fish and chips. The batter was crunchy and airy and everything that you want when it comes to this type of fare. We would absolutely go back!

It doesn't get any better than this. Went with friends from Scotland and England on their recommendation and this place didn't disappoint. The fish (cod) and chips were fantastic. DELICIOUS!!! We've been living in the Cape about a month and have wanted to try this place since day 1. Popped in today... food was sooo good! The fish is Icelandic Cod, fried to crispy perfection in a tasty batter, and the mushy peas were an awesome addition! Highly recommend! We'll be back for sure! They also have a freezer of pastys. We absolutely loved it! Fresh! Fresh! Fresh! Stopped by after work and took an order to go. The fish, shrimp and chicken were delicious. The chips were fresh and perfect. The batter was perfect. Separates slightly from the fish as it's supposed to. These peeps do it right. Also tried the brown gravy for the chips and the cole slaw was very good. Bought the English vinegar which is excellent. Perfectly cooked, large thick pieces of real North Atlantic Cod, nice "thick chips!". Little to no grease and nicely homemade coleslaw. We arrived at exactly the wrong time on a Friday night (during a rain storm) and waited quite a while due to everyone else having the same idea, but when orders are made one at a time and served at once piping hot, you'll be glad you waited! They ran out of coleslaw, but found one for us to taste and graciously gave my wife and daughter Cadbury chocolate bars "on the house" as replacement. Proper English Chippie in Cape Coral! Hi Everyone, So today was the first time I visited Pete's Fish n Chips here in Cape Coral. I actually discovered Pete's off the Yelp App. Let me put it this way, the fish and chips were "SIMPLY CRAZY GOOD" seriously of all the places you can get F n C's in this town??? Hands down PETE kicks ass. The huge fish portion is a heavy white meat, perfectly breaded and deliciously Cooked to "GOLDEN PERFECTION" Now listen it doesn't stop there, no kidding. Wait till you taste their "BEST IN TOWN" Hand Cut French Fries. They are Sooooo Goooood and are as carefully cooked just as the Awesome Golfen plank of fish your going to be regularly coming back for. The coleslaw is very creamy , fresh and is obviously an old traditional British recipe. Have to say that I will be a weekly patron of this place. I mean the owner and his friendly associate were so polite and just really good people, you can tell. Listen folks this is the little nook that your looking for it really is. The atmosphere is very nice and quant you'll see. Oh and the price was just over 12 bucks. You just can't beat it because I would pay 20 bucks for all their Golden Greatness. Need I say more. Always delicious and fresh. Love the tartar sauce! This was our fourth or fifth visit and we get two straight orders of fish and chips. Fish is always flaky and never "fishy", we always eat it at the restaurant which is the BEST way to enjoy this kind of fish. I love the sweet tartar sauce on the table, my fiancée always goes for the malt vinegar. Chips are the big, square, proper variety and are what you'd expect. Slaw is good as well, some days sweeter than others. I've been to many F&C shops from Punta Gorda to Naples, this is my favorite. Cheers! read more

This place is amazing, the real deal! The decor is so fun, everything from England. There's also an area with real food choices from England, candies and canned products. Another lady was buying some of it because it reminded her of some family she has from England. :) My family and I all ordered fish, chicken, and chips. I cannot tell you how delicious everything was. Perfectly breaded and cooked fish and chicken. The chips were perfect as well. Great food and a good price. The ladies who were working were both so sweet, they loved talking to our 1 year old daughter. :) We came here on vacation and will definitely be back next time we're in town. read more

We found it to be very average food. It was all well cooked but the fish, chicken, and shrimp seemed very bland. I think the batter needs a little more seasoning. Well , I don't know if Pete sold the business to people who have no idea what they are doing. I'm from England and I know how classic fish and chips should be. Firstly there should be thick, crunchy beer batter outside, secondly, the fish should be moist and flakey on the inside. What did I get? Yuck! I called 15 mins ahead so loads of time to produce a beautifully freshly cooked fish. What I got was a thin soggy tasteless batter and dried fish on the inside. Two bites and I threw it in the trash. Possibly the worst fish and chips I've ever had. What's up here? Can't you cook fresh food? Do you cook in advance and leave it sitting around until it's lifeless and limp and dried up? I know Pete is a Brit (if he exists) and would be ashamed to serve fish and chips like that! Who ever cooked this...shame on you! You have no pride in what you cook. Let me start by saying we've been coming down from illinois each winter for years and have always made Pete's a stop. But Saturday night when we stopped by, we walked in and stood and stood. Not even a hello or acknowledgment from an employee. There were customers sitting at empty tables I assume awaiting for their orders, an empty table in the back waiting to be cleared off. Delicious fried fish! I had the fish and shrimp, Hubs had fish, shrimp, and chicken. Fries and coleslaw came on the side for both of us. The place is small, only a handful of tables, you order at the counter, and grab yourself a soda from the case. The food was fried immediately after we ordered and came out piping hot! I've been wanting to check this place out for some time. Finally did tonight with my wife, and four old. Being this first time there, I wasn't sure what to get. Fish, and chips, chicken, or shrimp? We ended up getting the Family Basket. It had a little bit of everything. Fish, chicken, shrimp, chips, coleslaw. Everything was delicious, and cooked to order. The fish, Atlantic cod was firm, and flaky. The shrimp were huge and lightly battered. The chicken was equally delicious. The coleslaw was very tasty. Tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce were great as well. I really got a kick out of owner\chef. Service was quick, and laid back. I could easily see this being a weekly spot. Read the reviews and had to come and see for ourselves. I had the "small" Fish & Chips. I have never had cod so lightly breaded before and it was grand. The filet was large in my opinion and the chips an easy medium portion. My bride had the shrimp wrap....awesome flavor and plenty of shrimp. This is a small neighborhood place and well worth the visit. read more

We went to Pete's on a suggestion of a friend. Greeted by Pete himself,was a pleasure as he walked us through the limited menu. Fish and chips,chicken and chips. The fish is fresh Cod not manufactured square pieces of fish . Large or small filet. I opted for the small and my goodness ,it was more than enough. Fresh, crispy,tastey. Pete also does the cooking. Simple ,pleasant, take out or if you wish you can eat in. Self service. Will definetly return for more fresh fish. Cole slaw and fries were tastey also! read more

The BEST fish and chips, period! The fried shrimp and chicken are delicious, the "chips" are tender inside, crispy and golden on the outside- never greasy! My mom loves Pete's chicken pot pie and meat pies. The restaurant is run lovingly by Pete and his beautiful wife. Just back from my second trip to Pete's and it is still a great place for fish and chips. This time we tried the "pasty" which is basically a meat pie and it was quite good. Fried shrimp are also excellent and can be ordered in combination with the fish. Pete is quite "chatty" if he isn't busy and the two serving ladies are very friendly. Overall, a great place for a taste of Great Britain in Cape Coral. read more

They added a service fee without any warning, signage, or disclosure. Then the cashier refused to provide a receipt. The food itself was disappointing. The sandwiches came with no side and as you can see in the photo, there was far more bread than meat. This was a disappointing experience and not a place I'll be returning to.

This is an authentic british fish and chips restaurant! The fish (cod) is lightly coated in an amazing batter. The owners are very welcoming and make the place feel like home. Its more of a take out restaurant but they do have a few tables if you want to dine in.
