Perfectly cooked, large thick pieces of real North Atlantic Cod, nice "thick chips!". Little to no grease and nicely homemade coleslaw. We arrived at exactly the wrong time on a Friday night (during a rain storm) and waited quite a while due to everyone else having the same idea, but when orders are made one at a time and served at once piping hot, you'll be glad you waited! Hands down PETE kicks ass. The huge fish portion is a heavy white meat, perfectly breaded and deliciously Cooked to "GOLDEN PERFECTION" Now listen it doesn't stop there, no kidding. Wait till you taste their "BEST IN TOWN" Hand Cut French Fries. They are Sooooo Goooood and are as carefully cooked just as the Awesome Golfen plank of fish your going to be regularly coming back for. The coleslaw is very creamy , fresh and is obviously an old traditional British recipe. Have to say that I will be a weekly patron of this place. I mean the owner and his friendly associate were so polite and just really good people, you can tell. Listen folks this is the little nook that your looking for it really is. Always delicious and fresh. Love the tartar sauce! This was our fourth or fifth visit and we get two straight orders of fish and chips. Fish is always flaky and never "fishy", we always eat it at the restaurant which is the BEST way to enjoy this kind of fish. I love the sweet tartar sauce on the table, my fiancée always goes for the malt vinegar. Chips are the big, square, proper variety and are what you'd expect. Slaw is good as well, some days sweeter than others. I've been to many F&C shops from Punta Gorda to Naples, this is my favorite. Cheers! read more

This place is amazing, the real deal! The decor is so fun, everything from England. There's also an area with real food choices from England, candies and canned products. Another lady was buying some of it because it reminded her of some family she has from England. :) My family and I all ordered fish, chicken, and chips. I cannot tell you how delicious everything was. Perfectly breaded and cooked fish and chicken. The chips were perfect as well. Great food and a good price. Well , I don't know if Pete sold the business to people who have no idea what they are doing. I'm from England and I know how classic fish and chips should be. Firstly there should be thick, crunchy beer batter outside, secondly, the fish should be moist and flakey on the inside. What did I get? Yuck! I called 15 mins ahead so loads of time to produce a beautifully freshly cooked fish. What I got was a thin soggy tasteless batter and dried fish on the inside. Two bites and I threw it in the trash. Possibly the worst fish and chips I've ever had. What's up here? Can't you cook fresh food? Do you cook in advance and leave it sitting around until it's lifeless and limp and dried up?
