Absolutely LOVE this place! I come here every time I go to Phoenix. The bourbon chicken is my favorite and I ask them to put sauce from it on the rice. Heavenly! Their portions are Alonso quite large. You get 2 meals out of one.

Rude and non-fluent english speaking staff. We only tried egg roll appetizer which was just fine. Nothing special. Guys from the shop didn't even addressed my wife. One guy was speaking in some foreign language with other staff member in aggression instead of asking my wife what she wants. It was weird. Even their food varieties are limited. No customers were here while neighboring restaurants has many people waiting in queue.

Famous Wok is located in the Food Court of the Outlets at Anthem in Arizona. Family was hungry, and they wanted rice. This was the best option of the choices available. The combo with fried rice, mixed vegetables, and bourbon chicken was okay. About what I would expect from a place at a food court. Did not have high expectations so there was no disappointment here. Price was okay. Service was great. Don't know if I would choose this place again. I'm sure the rest of the family would though.

Good price, lots of food. Bourbon chicken is awesome and sesame chicken was tasty as well. Mild fried rice was good.

Server has always been great. Occasionally we will get an order of sesame or orange chicken that seems like it's mixed with fresh chicken and leftovers from yesterday (seems like), because some of the chicken seems rubbery and different texture. Could be just tough meat in some pieces. Not saying it's leftovers, just seems like it. Our go to Chinese food spot. I know health department food rating is not stellar, but I think it's the be of the better places around you will find. Don't recall getting sick eating here. Pretty consistent. Egg drop soup and egg rolls are very good also. They get busy during winter months when snowbirds arrive. I think that pushes them to rush things a little being a small restaurant. Good place overall. I will keep eating here.

Online orders shouldn't be pushed to the back of the line behind walk-ins. I noticed a few other customers waiting and having to ask about their digital orders as well. I love supporting highly-rated businesses, but I hope management works on this operational challenge.

From the moment you walk in, the elegant décor sets the tone beautifully, blending warmth and sophistication with a tasteful nod to its Asian culinary roots. She greets us with a smile that feels sincere every time, remembers our favorite dishes, our preferred sauces, our drinks, and even the little details that make us feel like more than just customers. That level of care is rare, and it means so much. It's obvious that the manager takes real pride in building a team that values hospitality, and that pride shows in every part of the experience. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, beautifully presented, and generously portioned. Every dish feels prepared with care, and every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. For us, Dao Kitchen is more than a place to eat -- it's a place that leaves us smiling, appreciated, and already looking forward to the next visit. I visited early in the afternoon - after the lunch rush - but still during the lunch hours. First, the greeting was very unfriendly. The server was distracted conversing with another server and paying little attention to our order. Absolutely zero friendliness. I felt I was an intruder! I ordered a Diet Coke. It was horrible. Obviously, the syrup was low so I had basically unflavored carbonated water. I had the lunch special for General Zso chicken. Zero taste. The egg roll was uninspiring. The egg drop soup was mediocre- at best. And, the entire restaurant was freezing. It was 110+ degrees outside. So, a cool place is welcomed. And I like the temperature cool - like, my home thermostats are set between 70 and 72 in the summer. But, the temperature in the restaurant was much, much colder. Simply, unpleasant experience. I left without eating my lunch. I had a taste of the Diet Coke, a bite of the chicken, a bite of the egg roll - and nothing else. This place made my list! (Of do not return)... and, I am on a continued search for a good Asian restaurant in the Phoenix area.

The only flaw there was one thing that went wrong, but I'm not even tripping. I ordered a Kung pow beef and I received the Kung pow shrimp. It's OK. It was so delicious, but I'm gonna have to come back and try that beef. I walked out feeling very satisfied. My stomach felt good. It felt like good ingredients and I only paid $14 and some change and I even got a Diet Coke. Definitely gonna come back for the lunch special because I love the spice. The flavor was really on point. One thing about me is that I love spice I go to specific spots just to eat the spice. Thanks you ; I am slowly disappointed that I didn't receive what I wanted, but it's all good. I wasn't going to say anything just cause like I didn't want the food to go to waste. I don't know who made the mistake but it's all good. I just wanted to point that out.

I spent over $50 on food, and the quality was extremely disappointing. The General Tso's chicken was basically nothing but breaded chicken pieces -- no vegetables and barely any sauce. The Orange Chicken was also dry and lacked sauce, making both dishes bland and unappetizing. To make matters worse, each entrée is supposed to come with rice, yet only a very small portion was provided. At this point, it feels like this restaurant is cutting corners and poorly managed. I'm generally not someone who leaves negative reviews, but the lack of care, consistency, and food quality is impossible to ignore. This was my last time giving this establishment my hard-earned money. I'd rather spend it somewhere that values its customers and takes pride in the food they serve.

It's probably the fanciest Chinese restaurant I've been to in AZ. The lunch menu is excellent and quite impressive! There are 8 entrees to choose along with a side for only $20. What's crazy is that a full size seafood and wagyu beef belly jjampong is a side! They're regularly $24 so it's a crazy deal to get an additional entree!! We ordered seafood jjampong and wagyu beef jjampong as sides and genghis khan beef and chili garlic fried chicken as mains. The jjampong had that great umami taste without the oiliness that's unavoidable at other restaurants. The ingredients felt very premium and fresh. Ghengis khan beef pieces were very generous and tender with a savory sauce. Chili garlic chicken was a tad salty for me but had great crisp. Service was impeccable and one you'd expect from an upscale restaurant. I can't wait to go back to try other dishes from the lunch menu. The front entrance doesn't really match the size of the restaurant, though. It looks surprisingly small compared to how big the place is inside. The restaurant is decorated with lots of red, lanterns, and even a giant fortune cookie. The food is a mix of Chinese and Korean dishes, but it's definitely more Americanized Asian food. We ordered from their Lunch Combo Special. My friend got the Chili Garlic Fried Chicken and the Seafood Jjampong without shrimp because she's allergic to it. I got the Chili Garlic Shrimp with fried rice. When our server found out it was my friend's birthday, she told us we could choose a complimentary dessert from the menu, which was so nice! My friend picked the Glazed Sweet Potato with Lemon Sorbet. The lunch combos were huge. My friend was already so full after eating the jjampong that she had to take the chicken home. I really liked my shrimp and fried rice. They were so tasty that I finished everything! We also really enjoyed the Glazed Sweet Potato with Lemon Sorbet. The refreshing lemon sorbet paired perfectly with the sweet, warm glazed sweet potato. I try, I review, and I might come back again to try something else.
