I just moved to this area looking for a new nail salon. I came in and requested a pedicure. I looked at their prices before sitting down and saw the basic pedicure was posted as $35. Once we started, the technician never asked me what I wanted - just what color. I told him black and the service continued. Once the service was done he tells me the total is $55... I immediately said the basic pedicure is $35 but now of course, it was additional fees for the gel polish. Something that isn't stated. It's safe to say I will not be a returning customer as I feel prices should be upfront with no surprise fees at the end of service. If you're going to charge $55 for a basic pedicure (which I think is insane itself) then advertise that. read more

My fiancé and I celebrated our anniversary by getting a relaxing mani/pedi. The experience put a sour mood on our celebration. First time getting an "ombré French" nail. NOT HAPPY! My cuticles were not taken care of in the beginning & were either bleeding or swollen by the end of the manicure. The painting of my nails started out nice. But then the edges were not smoothed out for a blended look. The point of where the white ends is VERY noticeable & tacky looking. I returned the next morning to remove the polish because the acrylic polish was unbearably painful!! The technician working on my removal kept bouncing between me and other clients. On the bright side, she recognized that it was a bad paint job done by the elder male technician. In the end, my nails & cuticles were worse than when I initially went in, I had to pay MORE MONEY to correct an expensive mani, and I was blamed for getting an allergic reaction to acrylic polish (even though I asked for a dip mani). I am done with Fancy's. Never going again. read more

I've debated posting this but I am so disappointed with my nails I need to share Not too impressed with Fancy Nails.. poor selection of colors, only DND gel colors, no OPI or Essie. The tools seem unsanitary, I wasn't able to see them leave the sterilizer or package. Overall just not a quality salon. Only came here because Kenosha Nail Bar is closed on sundays. Next time I'll make the drive to Lake Bluff or Libertyville for a good salon and experience, also not worth $75 whatsoever! Every nail has an air bubble or the gel is uneven. Also, the color didn't match the example I was shown. I hate my nails and hate that I have to stare at them for 2 weeks now. read more

Depends on who you get. I've personally had two bad experiences here. I typically like to go to John however, he was in rare form. On 4/11 he was rude because I was 9 minutes late. He harped on it for most of the visit. I explained I ran into unexpected lane closures which slowed down traffic, he totally ignored me and continued to belittle me. What I failed to do was reflect on three different occasions I had to wait 15 to 20 minutes while he either picked up his kids or was dealing with a vehicle issue. I questioned a product he was using and he rudely commented "can you read" I explained my educational background and assured him that I am very well read. I noticed acrylic in the ingredients as he had the front of the container turned towards him I did not see the label Indicating a gel product. He over explained that in a belittling and rude tone. He is usually my go to guy but there is a line to be drawn. Funny thing is I'm always polite and I over tip him. He's good at what he does but moving forward if he steps out of line I will make sure he regrets it and no more being polite and understanding. I can be rude too. He will not like it when I match his energy. read more

I don't usually post negative reviews, but for the cost, I should be happier with the final results. I allowed myself to be talked into a gel manicure, rather than a standard polish because "this will last you 2-3 weeks- the other won't last at all." A week later, this is what my nails look like. Because he filed them while wet, my nails first started breaking on the sides, then the polish started cracking and peeling. I won't be going back. read more

I had dip nails done here 7 days ago. After 3 days one of my nails completely fell off and when I went back to have them fix it they charged me. I didn't care about the three dollars, that was beside the point. The point was that dip nails are not supposed to fall off like that.. so I leave the salon and come home and unzip my jacket and another nail breaks in half and today my thumb nail cracked. HOW is this possible? I will never go to fancy nails again. It's just not worth the headache and the stress to have to keep going back and paying for them to fix these nails that should not even be damaged in the first place. I have never had this experience with dip nails before. I do not recommend them at all for dip nails! They clearly don't know what they're doing because they don't last. read more

Staff was very friendly and was one of the only places doing walk ins on a Saturday. Got a mani and pedi and they were very parient with my indecisiveness in choosing a color. When getting a full -set gel set, the technician didn't listen so much to the length and shape that I wanted but I trusted her and they ended up turning out great. First time here. Spent $93 on a pedi and full set gel. It seemed they were more focused on rushing and getting as many people in as they could rather than take time for quality. They didn't even clean the pedicure tub before having a lady come in and put her bare feet in the dirty tub. The lady also forgot to put a topcoat on my toes. I had to go home and reshape my own nails as these are clearly not a rounded square and they are so misshapen and crooked. Also will have to figure out how to match the color since walking out into the sun revealed many spots that didn't get enough polish and you can see through them. It was so crowded and busy and I was so over the whole experience I just didn't bother asking them to fix it because it would have meant reshaping my nails and redoing all of the polish. I'm definitely not going back as this and this is not the quality I expect for $93. read more

Was really disappointed last time I was there. Went in to get my dip nails taken off, but was left soaking in acetone for 40 minutes; the skin on my fingers is completely destroyed. I've been getting dip powder at other places for about a year, and never have I let them soak for more than 10 minutes. When I felt it was long enough at 20 minutes, I took my hands out but was scolded by the technician at the station next to mine. Finally someone came by and noticed that whoever set me up, had done it wrong so she gave me a new bowl to soak but it was still much too long and extremely unhealthy for nails and skin. read more

On Thursday 6/13/19 decided to go here for a no chip fill the same day my nail chipped..went back the next day because any nail place I've ever been to would fix it free of charge.. after waiting over a hour they wanted to charge me $20 mind you I paid $33(including tip) the day before. I scheduled an appointment for a dip powder and pedicure. I was sat at a pedicure station 15 min after arrival and my services didn't start until around 230. My tech was a male who appeared to be in a hurry. He didn't use a cuticle remover and he gave me the massage from hell. He was very heavy handed and fast, he was even scratching me with his nails. I wasn't asked what type of pedicure I wanted so I'm assuming they gave everyone the same thing because they were busy. Their colors on their color wheel don't match the actual polish so I ended up having to get two colors to get the color I was looking for. When it was time for my dip, I was handed off to another tech who argued with me about choosing the right dip color as if today was my first rodeo. She started putting the nail tips on crooked.To save trouble in choosing the right dip color, I decided to just go with acrylic and choose the two colors I blended for my feet. She then passed me off to someone else because she didn't know how to do acrylic. My final tech for the day did an okay job although she used way more acrylic than needed and I had to coach her a lot to get the final product of okay. I definitely will not be returning read more

I will definitely not be going back this was my second time and both times unhappy I had Kelly this time who absolutely does not know what she is doing it took her exactly 36 minutes to do my feel from start to finish and it's because the mixture she put on was so thin it didn't adhere to the nails and she filed them so much that they didn't stick to my real nails and started lifting within 2 hours of leaving the salon I had to come back and have them fixed by Gary because Kelly had a fit and didn't believe me and thought I did something to them and I went round and round with her about fixing them and all she wanted to do was fix them with super glue and if we would have done that they would have lasted maybe two days so luckily Gary came out and took a look at them and he kind of had an attitude at first too but once he started looking at him he realized they definitely needed to come off and have three new nails put on the ones that were lifting he did a great job fixing the three and I even offered to pay for those even though I shouldn't have and I was a little mad because they both had attitudes about it and basically called me a liar and the whole time they were he was repairing my nails they were all standing around. I could tell they were laughing at me I have never had this kind of treatment at any other nail place and I've been having my nails done for over 30 some years I will definitely not be going back here ever again. read more

I used to love this place.... I would go there every two weeks to get a no chip.. I went in last week and I sat at table 6. This girl was awful! I sat down and she started to take off my polish and she burned my nails as she used the machine I told her but she didn't seem to care! At this point I'm annoyed. Then she didn't let my no chip dry under the uv long enough so they all smugged and I told her as I was leaving that they weren't dry and they had prints in them. She convinced me I was wrong. So i ignored it and walked out. A week goes by and every nail is lifting!!!!!! I go in and tell the lady sitting at 1 what happened and she told me I peeled them off. Made me wait an hour before taking me and sat me with the same girl after I said I don't want her to fix them. When I sat down the lady at 6 wanted to file off my top coat and just pint over them!!!! I told her no she is going to redo them because they didn't last the full two weeks let alone a week. She tells me she's just going to paint over them and they will last another week. I was so pissed at that point I just told her to take them off. As she was taking them off she then tells me I have to pay her to take them off!!!! So I had her stop and I walked out of the salon with half taken off no chip... I highly recommend finding a different place in Kenosha! read more

I really enjoy the service here. The employees were very accommodating. I came in the day before New Years Eve, so it was clearly packed, and they made sure to sit me down in a timely manner and consistently checked in on me. I've got a full set with gel polish done here twice and I will absolutely come back and bring others with me. I wanted to give this chance I really did but after 2 time I give up. I've gotten a full set and a fill both with no chip polish here. The nails last maybe 5 days before these pop up, chip, or completely fall off in general. My friend who comes with me got the same thing just with regular polish. Both times the techs smudge her nails and just paint over it. The techs start off nice but once they found out we were college student they started lecturing us like children about getting fancy work done as a student. We were offended considering we are both STEM majors, support ourselves and work. Won't be back. The only reason they get 2 stars is bc how cheap stuff is and they start us right away. read more

I went here for a certain design and when I got in the chair the lady told me she can't do my design because they were busy. Btw I had an appointment! I told her I wasn't concerned about the time and it's the design I want, then after finally getting her to agree to do what I wanted she says they don't have the colors (the colors were nude, brown and black). After her telling me they didn't have the colors I showed another design which was nude nails w a black outline around the nail, she told me she couldn't do it. At this point I'm completely annoyed and went with a simple dark wine color. She did a half job on my nails and I genuinely was not happy with the results. Some were crooked and one nail had bubbles in the color. I called the next morning complaining about what happened and one of the other techs said they'd fix it for me. Made an appointment for 4pm, came in and spoke to, I believe, the manager. I explained again why I didn't like my nails and she replied "You're complaining about your nails but don't even know what's wrong with them" I said "you're a nail tech. You can't look at these and see what's wrong with them?" she then said nothing is wrong with them and they are perfect nails. I told her it's whatever and I'll pay, she handed me the color chart and when she went to the back I left. Never again will I go there! read more

Shady dealings. Tech asked me to use the "free" ATM instead of running my debit card. I reluctantly did even though I had to withdraw more than I needed. No disclosure there was a fee to use the ATM which is required. Got a $3.00 charge from my financial for the use of their ATM today. I didn't love the place before this happened. I had a manicure today which was good. But my eyebrow wax I had many issues with.. First off when u wax you don't just rip one big strip off the top and bottom of the eyebrow. That is what can cause ripping the skin. Two she missed hairs and was mad at me when I pointed it out and she still was ever able to get them. I had to go home and finish the job. Either she needs new glasses of they need to hire someone younger or new. read more
