I desperately needed a pedicure after driving back home from the beach and realized my toenails looked like those of a sloth! Super long and hideous... I just wanted to quickly stop anywhere, it didn't matter where. I enter and was quickly greeted by Susan..."Hi, welcome, what would you like done today?" "Pedicure, please." So I choose my polish color and I'm seated in a nice comfy spa massage chair. Kay is the one actually doing my pedi. She fills the basin with cool water (should've been warm to hot) but no biggie, at least I won't get burned like I have at other nail places. First she adds a few different types of salts from little plastic containers and does the usual pedi cuticle removal, nail trim and file and foot scrub. But what really separated this pedi from any I've had before is the clay foot mask, the incredible foot/calf/leg massage with really yummy smelling lotion and oil...OH and then the hot towel wrap was heavenly!!! She massaged me for at least 10 luxurious minutes!!! I left feeling with my feet totally feeling refreshed and rejuvenated! One of the best pedis I've had! read more

This is my second time coming here, and the first time was great. The staff was friendly, and I was happy with the results. However, I went in today with these fake nails I got online. I wanted them to just glue it on and trim and file them for me. If not, it's ok; I would just leave. They said they could do it but that the nails I brought in were too small. I told them it was okay. Lady starts to do my nails, and the first thing I notice is that the place is not clean. The towel my hands were placed on was dirty and had been used previously by someone else. The lady also seemed to be in a rush; I'm not sure why, as I had scheduled an appointment prior, she even knocked one of my glued nails off because she was rushing so much. She proceeded to glue it back on, but she ended up gluing it too low, onto my skin. I come home, and the glue from the nail starts running down the side of my nail and clustering there where you can see it. Absolutely horrible. I'm a bit sad as they seem nice and are located close to where I live, so I was hoping to become a regular, but after this incident I can't. It's disappointing. read more

It's always a clean environment, they are extremely nice, and attention to detail is superior. My most recent experience was my first time getting the coffin shape, i have always been hesitant because girls leave most nail salons displeased with the final shape. I've been going here well over a year, and I've been super happy with the result! I had a broken foot and needed a pedi desperately, they helped make it happen with minimal discomfort, because--let's be honest--when you have a broken foot and anything touches your foot, it will be uncomfortable. I constantly get compliments on my nails and the polish colors (they have an extensive range of gel and traditional colors). I asked for a Gel pedicure which white board stated 30$. I didn't ask for anything special... no design... no callus remover... nothing special just plain gel pedicure. Went here to get my eyelashes done super last minute for an event I had to be at. They offered a $30 eyelash extensions but they weren't individual they were sectional which I didn't mind. When I first got there they set me up in a room and Susan did my eyelashes and let me tell you, I felt very comfortablE! She was very nice & very considerate. I got that feeling that she knew exactly what she was doing & I was happy :) never been to this salon so I was hesitate but she got the job done. About the lashes, they are exactly what you pay for, $30 fake lashes. But they lasted me a good week !! They look so good even tho they look obviously fake but it was kind of like having temporary falsies. The only reason why my eyelashes came off were because of my poor sleeping habits so if you could sleep on your back, they'd probably stick on longer. I got so many compliments on my lashes tho, they gave you a real cat eye effect. read more

I've been coming here for years. The prices are good and my pedi lasts for at least a month and my mani lasts a good 10 days. There are some cons (hence the 4 stars instead of 5). Asians typically don't do great customer service. It's not part of the culture. So don't expect roses when you come. Although they are better than others. My major gripe is when I say I don't want something, it means I don't want it. Don't ask a 2nd time. And sometimes the wait time can be bad and they don't always give good estimates. I am vietnamese and understand the conversation. I can't say it never happens, but while I'm there, they're really talking about every day things (food, kids, etc.). I have been coming here for years and love the friendly accommodating staff. I'm sad that places like this don't really exist in NYC. Unlike most nail salons, many of the ladies who work here are permanent fixtures, so they make their customers feel like family. Seriously, the sheer amount of loyal returning customers they have is clear evidence of the caliber of this place. I came in on a Sunday afternoon. About an hour & a half before closing. There were about 6 nail techs working. One of which was just walking around circling watching the others work. I waited about 10 minutes for one lady to finish so she could do my nails. All I wanted was a fill/color change. I always get a gel full set. Well the lady that did it rushed. My gel NEVER chipped in the 3 years that I've been getting it but after coming here it did. I only came here because it was convenient, right by my job (where I used to go was by my old job also but I'm not driving all the way to Lakewood just for nails lol). I'm not coming back here. I was a walk-in my first time and I thought to myself "omg they aren't paying attention to me...did I make the mistake of coming here..." so that was my first reaction not the best but when I got my pedicure and gel manicure done omg total difference. This salon is just not your typical chit chat salon...they get straight to business and get you out of here (that was my experience because I had another appointment to go too). So I went to get my gel manicure done with Lily and my pedicure with ingrown toenails from Linda. Let me tell you these ladies make me not have anxiety going to the nail spa because I have been to so many places around here where they make me bleed. Also, don't know how to fix my ingrown toe nails and my nail-beds are super sensitive that when they use the nail device to buff my nails it hurts so when they use it on me (like it burns). My nails have lasted about two weeks (it could be more but my nails are weak right now). Don't have high expectations going into the place for customer service or chitchat but great mastery of skill set. They do talk to you and warm up but that's when you get seated. But the straw that broke camels back was when they left my 91 YEAR OLD MOTHER standing outside in the dark. I don't normally write reviews but considering I picked this place because of the yelp reviews I thought I should. I went to get acrylics that I already had taken off. She began with filing down the color then proceeded to rip off the acrylic from my nail. From my understanding watching my mom have acrylics all of her life it's supposed to be a process of filing it down and taking the remaining off with acetone. My nails are extremely thin now and hurt whenever I tap them on anything. I told her I wanted to keep my length so she only filed two of them, none are the same shape, and then had a different girl paint my nails (now I have to double the tip I'm giving which was really annoying) who didn't notice when the paint got smudged. I understand it is also my responsibility to speak up and point these things out but I have a deep aversion to confrontation, it's pretty much impossible for me to say when I'm unhappy or concerned, but I was crying in the chair. They had good reviews so that's why I went here because I thought they would care about my nails but it just felt like they were rushing to get me done. I personally will not be returning but if you're vocal about your service I'm sure you'll have a better experience. Also they are CASH ONLY which I didn't know before.
