We stopped on our way to Cleveland Clinic and were hoping to take a factory tour. The timing didn't work for us this time. But we will try again. We were greeted pleasantly and directed to make a reservation. We bought many delicious chocolate items. Would definitely recommend visiting.

I am a huge fan of all things chocolate and all types of candy varieties. So I was driving to pick up my wife from the Akron/Canton airport when I came across a sign that said offering free chocolate tours from 11am to 3pm. So I followed the road around and I came upon the Ferrero-Fannie May Fine Chocolate Factory which has a chocolate shop located inside the factory that is open to the public. One of the first things I notice when I drove up was a giant wooden chair with the Fannie May name on it where you can take pictures. The shop was just opening a lovely lady named Linda greeted me when she opened the doors, she said good morning and asked me if I needed any help. That's what I call top notch customer service. I told her how I was just dropping in before I picked up my wife. So I started to look around the shop, they had all kinds of chocolates to choose from which was amazing and it all look delicious. The most impressive thing was their display case that showed off all the different kinds of chocolates they have to offer, like I already said it looked very scrumptious delumptious. Linda then ask me if I wanted to start my morning off with a delicious chocolate and I said yes I would. I chose a pixie which is a caramel chocolate covered turtle and it was so yummy in my tummy. So if you ever find yourself in the North Canton area I recommend stopping by Ferrero-Fannie May Fine Chocolates.

Went here for the tour and the woman giving it was great, providing all kinds of interesting facts. The tour takes you overhead the staff working and they give you samples of chocolates and frozen sherbet at the end. The store has tons of selection for sale and tons of clearance items at the back. Just make sure you watch them entering the prices at the cash register as a few of our items were incorrectly entered as the staff member went by the bar code instead of the discounted price label.

Didn't do the tour this time. Just ran in to buy the Mint Meltaways. Those are my favorite thing here and you can't get them in CA. There was no one in the shop but me. Chris was very helpful and friendly.

Never been to a Chocolate Factory, but have been through a few factories and tours. This was a surprising place and tour. I was not expecting too much since it was free! Well, it turned out to be one of my better tours and places to visit. We arrive to find a beautiful business nested in trees and a nice winding drive to the parking and main entrance to a beautiful building and well manicured lawn. There was only one car in the visitors parking area. We wondered if they were closing! Inside it was very quiet, with two people at a sign in desk and the had at least one clerk. We discovery we were the last scheduled group (seven people). They were very friendly and they say they were not closing for a while. A man directed us to an small theater where we watched an eight minute movie and then he lead us out to begin the next phase of the tour. He began with th history of the company and how it got started, With picture of each year, in the beginning. We were given a very good overview of its origins and its development over the years. Very interesting. We are allowed to take picture only on the first floor. We then proceeded to the second floor. They have an elevator for those that do not do steps well. On the second floor we could look down through windows to see people making and some wrapping chocolates. The operation and how they do it was interesting, The man giving the tour was good as doing it. The tour guide answered all the questions asked. An interesting part of the story was the merger between Fanny May and London Chocolates. Then he explained that at the end of the tour he always gives out a few pieces of chocolate samples. Which he did of three types. He lead us back downstairs to the store and lobby. I asked him if he had some chocolate with coconut on or in them. He told me about two I said I really love that combination and he had the lady behind the counter give me a sample. I WAS HOOKED! Okay, unknown to me the wife had just picked up a couple of boxes of different candies. Well, I ask if I could have only a half pound of mine and they said no problem, They price to sell in different volumes. I took a few pictures in the store and outside. A group picture for YELP! I am surprised at their willingness. They had a motive. They each wanted a group picture and that was the least I could do as I am the group leader and the wife helps plan out the trips. I high recommend the business store and the tour too. It gives you a better understanding of the story behind their success.

I hadn't…read morebeen here in several years, and the food was pretty much the same: consistent, but nothing that really stands out. We came in close to closing and had a table full of kids, which probably didn't help the overall experience. The service felt rushed and a bit short, though I get that it was late and everyone was likely ready to wrap up the night. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, just not one that made us want to linger. If we come back, it'll likely be earlier in the evening and just with adults. For now, it may be a while before our next visit.

Most of the time, they are fall off the bone tender, and amazing! This last visit, we went on Saturday around 4:30. We ordered a couple appetizers that we hadn't ordered before, the nachos, and mac-n-cheese wedges. The nachos were just so-so. I wouldn't order them again. For $10, it was very underwhelming. Basically just some cheese and pico de gallo, and a few jalapenos, that's it. They bring a very small plastic cup of sour cream, and another very small cup of salsa to use with them, but when you have 4 people digging in, you need 4 cups of each. They had an option for chicken on them, but we chose not to have that. There was no option for ground beef, but did expect it to be on there, and we were surprised there was no meat at all. Do it was greatly lacking. Never seen a place not have seasoned beef on their nachos. 3 of us ordered the special Birria tacos, and we would all rate them a 1. The first couple of bites were ok, but after that it was way too salty!!! Especially when dipped in the consomme! It was like it was concentrated, and they forgot to add water to it. When the waiter had asked us about it, we had just started eating, and we were all ok. If he had asked again, we would chimed in how salty it was. 2 of us had to go to the restroom twice before we left, because we were having issues, and the 3rd was feeling gross, and had issues later at home, as did another. The 4th person stuck with their usual meal of barbecue chicken, mac-n-cheese and fries, and it was awesome as it always is. So he was happy. Oh, also, we learned last time to never get their "teriyaki" sauce. We had it as a side sauce for our ribs. We always ask for no sauce directly on the ribs, and get a side of bourbon barrel sauce to dip them in, and it's always amazing That time, we decided to try something different and get a side of hot honey peach, which is super good, and even better when mixed with bourbon barrel! However, the teriyaki wasn't good at all. In fact, it didn't taste anything like teriyaki, and didn't even match their own description of it. It was even brown, it was red! We asked for another side of it just to see if they'd bring out an actual teriyaki, thinking they brought us the wrong sauce, but nope, they brought out the same red sauce that was vinegar based, and had no hint of sweetness, orange, garlic, ginger, pineapple, nothing like that. It reminded us of an Asian sauce that had a little kick to it. We told our waitress that it didn't taste anything like teriyaki and certainly didn't look like teriyaki. She said it's different but is her favorite sauce they have. ‍We will have to go to a different location and see if they actually have a true teriyaki sauce that matches their description on their own menu, cause the Fulton Rd location doesn't appear to have it. It's wild and super disappointing. It's one of our favorite places to eat, just can be hit or miss.

If you are a foodie, you will have a great time. The 5 restaurant locations are kept as a secret which makes the day even more enjoyable because everything is a surprise. When arriving at each restaurant, their dish is also a surprise. This is a great way to try something new that the restaurant personally recommends. Everything is a "sample" but the portions are HUGE so come starving. I even took home leftovers as the group could not finish all the samples. Great way to explore new restaurants even as a local resident. I will be scheduling another tour as there are over 25 restaurants who participate in the tour and we only went to 5 (because you will be too stuffed to go to any more in one day!)
