I have already made Fannies my regular breakfast stop each weekend. Every dish is truly prepared with great care and really gives you the feel of a home cooked breakfast. The pancake and eggs are my favorite. And yes it is one pancake, but it is a huge pancake! You don't need more. The eggs are delicious. I tried both the French press coffee and the americano. I went today for lunch with my wife, sat at a great big table (there are two or three of them), had a delicious soup and ramen-with-eggs dish, shared a fantastic dessert with my wife, enjoyed their great coffee, attentive, friendly service and had a five-star experience. This little place is absolutely to die for in every aspect. The food is so amazing. Everything is local and organic which is a plus but the presentation of everything is also phenomenal. Everything is spiced to perfection and has a perfect combination of sweet and a hint of spice. You can tell each meal has been thoughtfully picked before being placed on the menu. The chef definitely puts pride into her work and shows as soon as you take a bite of your meal. The things I tried today were the buttermilk pancakes, which were out of this world and the buttermilk is of course local, the autumn squash omelette, AMAZING, the baked eggs, also wonderful, the sausage, to die for, and the potatoes. I also tried the Mexican hot chocolate cupcakes and the signature latte that were so unbelievable. Both Perfectly spiced. Everything is so unique and nothing else in the Warwick area. Definitely a must go! You won't be disappointed. Oh and to the previous helper who said the prices were high, everything is made with the best of the best ingredients. And it's not expensive, brunch for 3 was $50 for all that food. Not everything can be cheap, good, and fast. Go to McDonalds dollar menu for that. Fannie, it was love at first bite. My husband and I stopped into this charming breakfast spot this morning after reading the other wonderful Yelp reviews and we weren't disappointed. We started with a huckleberry scone to share, and I have to admit, I had a hard time sharing because it was the perfect level of moistness, with fresh berry flavor - truly a delight. For our main plates, I had the baked eggs with seasonal veggies, and my husband had the pâté sandwich. Both were perfectly executed, using wonderful flavor combinations; just beware of the chili relish served atop the baked eggs- whoa it's hot! :) Also worth noting that the service was very warm and attentive. Pefect meal. Baked eggs with vegetables ,omelette with squash ,spinach and goat chees ,sides of potatoes and chicken sausage , crepe with warm apples and caramel and perfect espresso for dessert. Really want to like Fannie's, but for some dumb things I cannot. Breakfast special, 2 pancakes and coffee, just want 1 pancake same price. Pancake is huge, fills an entire dinner plate comes with approx 1 ounce of syrup (small shot glass). Oh you need more syrup, each serving $2 extra, you need at least 2 extra servings. Next time (if ever) will bring my own Vermont syrup. Bread, yes there house baked baguette. Eggs with toast, no baguette. French toast, yes Baguette. Only Baguette. Everything is made to order, everything is fresh, farm to table yes. Is it worth a visit yes, but remember this review .............gave it another visit, prepared with our own syrup, but still got caught in a Fannie fool fact! Arrived at 10:05am for breakfast. Each ordered an American coffee. Waited about 10 minutes to order and at least 30 minutes for food to arrive. By that time coffee, what was left of it was cold. Asked server for a coffee refill with our food, surprise, refill is $4.00 additional per person ( plus tax and tip). Next time I will bring my syrup, thermos of coffee and creamer. GOTCHA! read more

Truthfully, just awful. I've eaten at Fannie's at least 15 times and after my last meal, I will never ever return. Which pains me because I love the concept (farm to table breakfast). The service has negatively surpassed its' former level of indifference and an uncomplicated egg breakfast now takes over an hour. There used to be a long wait and this past Sunday it was a ghost-town at 1030, so word has clearly spread. It's a shame. read more

Ordered coffee....didn't have. Said they could make a French press coffee. I agreed. When it came it was weaker than dish water and had grounds floating in it. I asked for them to take it back which they did. When I received the bill they had charged me 50% of the price bc I had requested and they made the French press as per my request! read more

Had brunch here and it was SO GOOD. The place is really cute and the servers were so nice and helpful. The food is unique but also has the important classics. I had gotten the scrambled egged with cheddar and tamales and it was delicious! Also the specialized coffee drinks were so good. They had a mini raspberry cupcake that was the best cupcake I have ever had!! Definitely recommend stopping here for breakfast, I will have to try the lunch soon! read more

Fannie's seems like it should be a charming little venue, but the wait times are not good at all. We came in about 12:30 and were seated fairly quickly, drinks came quickly enough. Then we ordered... 2 orders of two eggs, over easy, pork sausage, a fruit cup... This took an hour to get to us. After about 35 minutes, I asked a second waitperson about my order and they said it would be a little while yet. When I mentioned how long we were waiting, they said,"well, we have a full restaurant today". The full restaurant was six tables inside, about 4 outside, and outside was not busy as it was hot. There were a total of 6 to eight people working the place, which means one person per table (not all were wait staff). I had the distinct feeling that the cook cannot multi-task, making one order at a time. The food came, it was acceptable, but two eggs, ONE sausage patty, and what seemed to be fruit from a can (the nectarines were soggy) with drinks (ice tea, lemon aid) the bill was $32? It wasn't worth the wait. Restaurants like this work on table turns. I will be surprised if they are in business within six months! read more

I can't even say how the food was because we waited for just shy of an hour and never got our food. It wasn't busy. Both us and the table next to us were given extremely annoyed, irritated responses from one waitress when they asked where their food was after waiting over an hour. I had to speak to another waitress when we decided to leave because of the wait and was given just as horrible a response. Nothing was suggested to make up for the wait. There are other local brunch places that are just as quaint, with delicious food, and wonderful service. And if there's a wait, they at least check up on their guests and refill their coffee. read more

In the same location that in just the past 10-years has been an antique shop, a florist shop, an Italian specialties store, and a bakery - has now transformed into Fannie's - a tiny restaurant with about 20 seats and shelves adorned with a hodgepodge of old kitchen nicknacks punctuated with friendly and capable table service that includes mix-n-match coffee cups, plates, tables, and chairs that feel as if you are dining on someone's back porch. If you find yourself dining on this proverbial porch, then you might expect chickens to be running around too (but aren't) and providing the focus of your food - breakfast / brunch / lunch consisting of eggs. These eggs are either/both local, and/or organic. E-G-G-S are even part of their phone number. To borrow from a popular commercial, "Eggs - it's what they do." The best bargains are the Breakfast specials (from 8am-10am) which include a 'bottomless' cup of coffee. The so-called 'Signature' Egg is a pan-toasted slice of bread with heart-shaped hole in middle and one fried egg peeking at you sunny-side up garnished with a few little pan-toasted heart-shaped pieces of bread. The pancakes are two huge flapjacks and may be the best value on the menu, but have been inconsistent the three times we've had them. Other breakfast items include baked goods and eggs as-you-like for about $6-$8; remember, arrive before 10am and the $3 bottomless coffee can be included in that price. Some folks prefer less-roasted Dunkin' Donuts coffee to the typically dark-roasted coffee at Starbucks. A darker-roast is served at Fannie's, but in my opinion, the taste is not nearly as bold as Starbucks, and yet, not as mild as Dunkin' - something for everyone. Simply said, the coffee is delicious, but may be slightly too 'bold' if you really prefer the milder Dunkin'-style. If you've ever read my Yelp reviews, I have many pet peeves. Like this one - if an establishment is going to list daily Specials without prices, then the prices should be in-line with the menu. For instance - if the average egg dish is $8-$10, no daily egg-Special should arrive with an unannounced sticker-shock price of $13 (more expensive than any other egg dish and as expensive as THE most expensive menu item) as was my experience with the typically more affordable Biscuits & Gravy topped with a poached egg. And for the sake of bloggability, I have eaten the $13 chicken salad sandwich and was unimpressed given the cost. With only a tiny kitchen, it is understandable that the printed menu is limited beyond eggs, pancakes, green salads and vegetarian spreads (like hummus), but there is a blackboard with daily Specials that will likely include an excellent soup (onion, carrot, squash, etc.), and some brunch-, lunch-like dishes ranging from a salad topped with an egg, bowl-of-chili, plate of fried chicken with mashed potatoes, and other sandwich combinations to name just a few listings that I have seen. But I have scratched my head on more than one occasion because, no matter the size of the kitchen, I expect a bit more from a classically-trained Chef who should be capable of preparing bread that is more delicate than something akin to a toasted English-style muffin. And I expect more than just one baked good better than a pedestrian scone (served without clotted cream or jam or apple butter). And other $8 egg dishes can be served with something that shows a bit of forethought when no additional carbohydrate like potato is served (how about even a tiny heart-shaped piece of potato au gratin, for instance). And other than a side of local sausage, cheese, eggs, and $13 chicken salad sandwich - there is no other animal protein on the printed menu. Don't misunderstand me, the food is very good - but I'm not yet convinced the prices meet the quality. Maybe the things that I have outlined as 'problems' really has more to do with experience. The place is new and the owners are young, so it will take some time for the kitchen to speed up (20 minutes for pancakes, 15 minutes for over-easy eggs). With the kitchen being so close to the dining room, I have received food that should have arrived hotter. It will certainly take time for the service to get a bit more snappy too - and it has already. For instance, a bottomless cup of coffee should mean rarely having to ask for more coffee - which has now become the norm as someone is more likely to walk around with a pot offering refills. And it will take some time for a Chef to manage each and every aspect of running her/his first own restaurant. Sure, you can get better value and bland coffee at any typical greasy-spoon diner, but Fannie's is appealing to folks who not only want to feel as if they are dining at a farmhouse kitchen, but who also want food that arrives in more nutritional portions. Minus 1-star for value, Minus 1-star for food that should have arrived hotter, Add 1-star because I really want to like this place - 4-stars. read more

My mother and I hadn't been out for brunch in ages. We'd been regulars at many of the Warwick spots and were excited to try the new place. We were told there'd be a fifteen minute wait, so I gave the hostess my name and we walked through the Farmer's market and around town. We came back 20 minutes later and the table was available. We sat down and ordered coffees and food. The place has a cool vibe and there were animated hipsters sitting across from us talking about their world travels which made it kind of fun. The wait was long - over 45 minutes for two omelets. Mom added tomatoes to her order. The coffee was weak. The eggs filled with goat cheese were at best mediocre. The place isn't cheap- but the food was bland and I was very disappointed. I'd just have easily gone to Tuscan or Fetch where the food is much better and the service not so slow. I won't go back. There were a few items on the menu I'd like to try as they looked interesting, but once you've failed at omelets - well, there you go. Sad, such promise and so disappointing. read more

Incredibly fresh and delicious food! From their eggs and pancakes to their always changing specials board, this is the best breakfast/lunch you will ever eat. My favorite dish is probably their pancakes. Believe me, you just haven't tried pancakes like these. The decor and ambiance feels very relaxed and at home. Absolutely Horrible! We went this morning (2 adults, 1 child) for our first time to have breakfast. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait. So we said that was fine we sat on a cat hair riddled couch and waited. After waiting the 20 minutes a table did open up. So we sat waiting for someone to clear the table. Well while we are sitting there is walks a couple that the waitress know and they exchange hugs and she says oh I will sit you here at the table that we are waiting for. The couple says oh no we don't want to cut in front of anyone. She says hold on and goes to talk to the waitress that seemed to be the one in charge and says its okay to sit them while we are still sitting on this couch. This place is Very Very small so it was so obvious that this was going on that one of the tables that was eating pulls the waitress aside and says that is not right these 3 people have been waiting. The women says no its okay so I question this woman as to why they would be seated having just walked in. She said you are a three top and these are two tops. I said first of all these are all two tops right now so what is the plan to wait for two tables to empty and hope that no one else comes in in the meantime? As a result, I can assure that we will never step foot in there again and I look forward to every opportunity that I have to tell everyone my experience.
