First time leaving Maisy there (I've left other pets, but she's new) She flunked out of Pet Playhouse. They wouldn't even allow me to kennel her because she flunked their test. She's spicy, and I'm not even gonna lie about that. She's a rescue who looks like Disney and can sometimes act like Cujo. However, the staff here loved her, and said she'd be welcome anytime. She's not a general pop dog - she's a 1-1 kinda girl. She's loves her ball, and playing fetch and they took her out and played with her and let her chase that ball and that was all it took to win her heart. It was 7 days and $400+ but I didn't worry about her. I'm so filled with gratitude that she was safe, fed, and relatively clean after 7 days in a kennel. She's missed me and didn't let me out of sight for 24 hours after, but that's to be expected from a rescue. read more

First time bringing my dogs into Fantasia for a 4-night stay. Welcomed by Vanessa and Maggie after a couple of phone calls and a drive-by to check it out. The day comes and the drop-off went waaaay smoother than I anticipated. While Vanessa looked over what I had packed for my dogs, I casually mentioned that my basset was pretty chunky and with kindness and grace she pointed out that the amount of sodium I was feeding her was pretty high and that maybe I should look into changing to something else. She said she believed that if I decreased the excess sodium, pretty quickly my dog would lose her water weight and gain mobility. She was right. The dogs were so happy there and I'm so happy to have found these guys! I had a very bad Rover experience and this place was ALL GOOD. I can't say enough. Love. P.S. I already LOVED Fantasia Pet resort and always bring my dog there for boarding, grooming nail trims but, several years ago they added a veterinarian who in my eyes is the very BEST of the best! Dr. Cocanour! He literally gets on the floor eye level with my dog and talks to her! She loves him and when we pull in she is crying for him! He loves and CARES for-these animals he treats so, so much and communicates so well on treatment, isn't in a rush and takes time to listen and answer questions! Wouldn't it be great if there was a people doctor that can treat his patients this way? I am so grateful to have found this wonderful man! how this place has 4 stars is beyond me. we came to fantasia years ago and it was a decent facility for boarding. When it changed ownership it went down hill fast. Took 2 dogs here to try doggy day care. A large male was all over my 6 mo old male pup. attendant in the yard did nothin til I mentioned it. she was completely oblivious and when I said could you stop that she just looked at me . Fast forward a few years, we needed a kennel reservation and our regular place did not have room. When I dropped them off I brought everything (food, med treats etc fully labeled and instructions. ) . I asked how they had a full bag of food and what had they been feeding my dogs . they had no clue . This place is a cluster. horribly dis-organized. First time boarding my dog. I put his belongings (toys, blanket, food) in a durable bag & when I got it back it had RAT/ MICE POOP inside & the dog food was in a ziplock bag that now had holes in it. The kennels are only divided by a chain fence, the dogs can be touching through the fence. After picking up my dog he started to have a bad cough, took him to the vet & it's Kennel Cough - which he got while boarding here. Wouldn't Recommend! read more

Cooper just went to Fantasia for his first grooming session there and we are in LOVE! We've taken our huskies there before for boarding and blowouts for their coats but our little guy definitely requires a special eye because his fur is so curly and thick! With it being summer we wanted a cute shorter haircut but we were nervous since a lot of other places will just buzz him down. 8/6/18 Came here a few months ago to have my dog groomed. They did such a great job that I came back with my dog for another grooming today. Within a few hours she was ready and I picked her up. Her haircut looked amazing, but when I got home I noticed blood all over my back seat! Two of her nails were cut so deep that she was bleeding (see pictures). I will not be returning here for another grooming. Not only did they not tell me what happened, but it didn't seem like they put anything on her nails to stop the bleeding. UMMMMM....no. No stars for you Fantasia. It seems you had a bad decision day with your staff and the appointment making minds. We drive all the way out there for luxury treatment right?? If you are understaffed, stop overbooking your calendar. Its not rocket science and its going to bring your reputation down. Our dog BLOO was there 2/25 at noon for 5+ hours (so you can check your appointment book Fantasia) because we'd publicly like a refund. Never got a hair cut which he needed desperately. WE had to call to see if he was even done at 5:30pm and they had the nerve to say yes without telling us that they didn't have time give him a cut. We had to catch someone in the parking lot to ask her why he wasn't touched. "Oh, we only had time to bathe him because we had 15 appointments today." Nice customer service training. My message to the management and owners: you have failed this day. 1. Over booking your day to what your staff can handle. 2. Not communicating that to us when we called to make the appointment. 3. Leaving our dog in a cage for 5+ hours not knowing if he is even being let out if you are that busy. 4. Not calling us when his $35 bath was finished. 5. Your staff was unapologetic and trying to avoid the fact that we were picking up a shaggy dog from a pet grooming facility after being there all day. We will never come there again. Not because he wasn't cut but because of how it was so badly handled by your staff. It was one of those ending of the relationship feelings that make people write long reviews like this. For all that fancy advertising, feels like getting in as many dollars a day is more important than the care and customer service. :( boo on you guys. We are still pretty pissed that we now have to go get him cut....somewhere else. Thanks so much. Let's see if they even read this and try to save a customer. I trusted the rating on here and the 4.8 stars on Google and it was one of the worst decisions for my dogs I could have ever made. I've had my male cocker for four years, I normally have him groomed at a place in Sparks along with my female of two years. Never had an issue, the only reason we tried Fantasia was because we moved to the north valleys and my female gets car sick so I wanted to try a closer place to help her not get sick. Setting up the appointment was easy, the place seemed clean when we showed up, the receptionist was kind and everything seemed fine when we dropped them off at 8am. It was a little strange that they said my dogs wouldn't be ready until 1 or 2pm, my previous groomer had them ready within 2 or 3 hours as all I want is them shaved. The receptionist told me that the groomer bathes them all at once and then starts pulling them out as they dry to groom. A bit odd but I kept going back to the high ratings and thought it should be ok. I called once around 11 am to check on them, the receptionist assured me they were fine. I called again at 1pm because I got nervous, I don't like my dogs not being with me, she told me they were finishing up "the last dog" and I could pick them up in 30 minutes. I arrived and paid 110 dollars for them to bathe, completely shave, relieve the anal glands and trim the nails of one 30 pound cocker spaniel/cavalier king Charles mix and one 25 pound cocker spaniel. My female wasn't groomed properly, and my healthy male was returned to me with an ulcer on the cornea of his right eye. I didn't spot it until we were five minutes down the road, immediately called Fantasia and they asked me to bring him back. I did, and the groomer put some sort of wash and ointment in his eye without asking, then said it didn't look swollen. It was very obviously swollen, I don't really expect people that injure dogs to admit to it. This happened on a Sunday. My vet isn't open on Sunday and I didn't have 300 dollars for the emergency vet so first thing Monday morning I called and made the first available appointment which was at 10.45am. I called Fantasia and a man claiming to be the owner said he was aware of the situation and when I told him I had a vet appointment he said he'd "be very curious to see what they have to say." Well they said he had a corneal ulcer. I entrusted them with the care of my healthy dog and they gave him back broken. I gave them a copy of the vet bill and told them I expected them to pay for it. The owner wasn't there but the groomer and receptionist told me he'd call me. A man named Cody called and said that unless my vet said specifically that she knew that their groomer did this to my dog they would do nothing. Thing is she wasn't there, they have no cameras and that is a ridiculous request. If my dog was injured when he came in they would have documented it. They did not. I do have documentation that he was injured after being in the care of his groomer. Which is why I will be taking legal action. There are consequences for injuring someone's animal and then refusing to own up to your actions. Don't always trust Google and Yelp, go with your gut instinct. If I had trusted mine my pup wouldn't be injured and I wouldn't have a 200 dollar vet bill for trying to get my dogs groomed. They also did not relieve either dogs anal glands and both smelled like dog, not clean and brushed down like my other groomer does. They may do well with boarding but for the health and safety of your dog do not take them to get groomed at Fantasia. read more

We leave our precious lab with Fantasia weekly for daycare and boarding. He comes home worn out for a couple days from playing so hard. They have a very nice outdoor area with lots of trees. There's plenty space for all size dogs as well as indoor The dogs have their own sleeping area so you can bring either their pillow or crate or whatever. Not sure why there are 2 profiles for the same business, so I will post this review in both. Pet owners deserve to know they might get their pet back injured or dead and the facility will take zero responsibility for that. Take a look how well they took care of my pup on the pictures attached and make your own conclusions. My 6 months old ridgeback was attacked by another dog while in their care and they could care less. I was out of state heading back to Nevada when I received a call from them heavily downplaying the incident and calling it a "small scuffle" and "we have no idea what really happened". I told them I will be in Reno in 3 hours and when I came to pick up my dog he was missing a huge chunk of his skin and had a very deep stabbed wound. They told me he stopped bleeding, and that was a lie - he was constantly licking the spot and blood was still coming out. There was not a single employee at the reception desk who could explain how this happened and why they placed an aggressive dog together with others, non aggressive ones in their daycare. They completely failed to evaluate the other dog's personality properly and were not around to supervise and notice any signs this was coming. They were not around at the time of incident either and all I heard was incohesive mumbling "We have no idea how this happened". When I asked them what they were going to do about the dog that attacked mine they simply told me "they will take it off the day care list". So they had zero plans reporting it to animal control and hoping when it attacks next time someone else could deal with it. Everyone at the reception desk sounded like complete i* smiling and telling me my dog was "in good spirits". My vet had a very different opinion. He commented how deep the wound was and how close it came to damaging the rib cage. My poor pup had to be sedated and left with sutures he had to wear for the next 2 weeks while wearing a clinic collar and being on painkillers and antibiotics for the next 10 days. We had big plans for Thanksgiving week and had to cancel those because the dog could not go anywhere. The bill for the treatment alone was over $500 and I sent an email to the facility asking to refund it since the incident happened due to their complete negligence. Their response was beyond professional: "Our owner James (?) is out of town, but when he would be back in 2 days he would give you a call to discuss a contract you signed which makes us not liable for injuries you dog received here". Are you kidding me? My dog was injured because you failed to professionally evaluate the other aggressive dog and left them on the same grounds together. My dog was injured because you were not around to supervise and had no clue what happened and how this happened, which was admitted by everyone I spoke to. You lied to me about the fact that the injury was insignificant and my dog stopped bleeding when he still bled. James, if you are reading this you can be really proud of your staff. You guys ruined our Thanksgiving. Oh, another thing if you still consider placing your dog in their care - you pup might starve here. They completely do not follow owner's requests on how much to feed the dog and how often it should be fed. Yes, they will ask you about that and then still don't do it! My dog is a large fast growing breed. I brought my own food and asked them to feed the dog 3 times a day, 3-4 cups at each meal. Do you think they did that? No. After 3 days they returned me a bag with 80% of his food still being there, which means they fed my dog only 1 cup 2 times a day the most. He would not stop eating and drinking when he came home. I would never place a dog with special needs here. Their promise to take care of them is plain laughable based on our experience. What pet care facility would refuse to show clients what conditions their pets are kept in? This facility refuses to show you anything, would not even take a picture and show it to you. read more

This review is a little late but I have to rave about Fantasia Pet Resort. In July I had a rescue pup that needed boarding I called Fantasia they were about to get Toulon in. The staff was amazing with my big boy when they found out he was a rescue needing a home they networked him trying to help. During his stay I got super sick & was not able to keep contact for about a week they were super understanding when I got ahold of them. The office tech Jose I cant say enough good things he gave great customer service, my rescue partner raves about how great he was with her also. If you need a pet boarded I would highly recommend Fantasia. read more

We LOVE Fantasia Pet Resort! We've been coming with our older dog for 2.5 years and have never had anything but great experiences. We just recently added a new puppy into the family, and we've taken him here 2 times now. Both times he did great, and the staff is so sweet, they give me a full update of how both boys did during the playtime. At first Charlie, the youngest, was a little hesitant to play with the big dogs, but by the 2nd visit, he was holding his own and having a great time socializing. We just left both boys for their longest visit, 6 days, while we were on vacation! I've used Fantasia pet resort for a few years with two different dogs and they haven't let me down. They have been very forthcoming with any issues that have happened, especially with our older dog. We usually get a bath and cut done before we pickup. You have to be explicit in what you want done with the groomer because one time they didn't cut down the tail and neck hair. Their prices are fair, the staff is friendly and accommodating. They have play time or other activities. They also let you know what types of shots they need too. Especially with the upcoming flu season, they need that too. read more

I had found them for doggy day care and they are awesome- hours, staff and super nice. Then my world turned upside down. I got COVID, my wife got it, my sister in-law got it. All of us were in hospitals with no idea when we were coming home or even if we were gonna make it honestly. The last thing I needed to worry about was my dog and they were there. I called and all they would say is - she is doing great! Just get better. Fantasia started out as just a company I was gonna use a couple days a week and now they are a company that I would recommend to anyone for anything! I can honestly not say enough great things about Fantasia Pet Resort (FPR). They take of my rambunctious boxer mix, Gunny, like none of the other daycare and boarding facilities have. Last time Gunny stayed there they even washed his bed for me for no charge. The staff is courteous and friendly. If you leave a voicemail, they respond very quickly. Anytime I have not been able to answer their return calls, they leave detailed messages and good call back times and numbers. I am just leaving our veterinarian's office with one of the dogs that was groomed last week. Oir beterinarian ssid she can GUARANTEE that our dogs anal glands WERE NOT expressed! That is listed as a standard service when paying for a full groomimg. My husband used Fantasia Pet Resort in the past (before we met) and was quite happy with the service. At the last minute, during a holiday weekend, they rearranged things to accommodate his three dogs that needed to be boarded as he needed to leave town because his mom had passed away. We decided to leave our six dogs here while we were out of town for a business conference and vacation. I have mixed feelings. One of my Great Danes has mobility issues which I informed them of when making the reservations. She had never been boarded before and can be quite neurotic in new situations so I had my concerns. She cannot wear a collar or leash around her neck due to her health condition causing the mobility issues so she has a harness. My husband asked them to leave the harness on her as it does provide her with some security and makes it easier for someone to assist her if needed. I had my reservations about leaving it on her full time, but again, it does have its merit. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I received a call after a few days of boarding that she was not doing well and they did not feel equipped to care for her. We arranged for her to be picked up and cared for by friends. I was told she had a small wound on her shoulder presumably from struggling to get up while wearing her harness. Not unbelievable. The wound was actually a deep laceration over an inch long. It ended up getting infected and needing to be treated as an open wound then opened further to expose the pocket that had been created and sutured. We asked for them to leave the harness on and we are aware of her mobility issues, so I can't blame Fantasia. I guess I would have liked to have been told just how bad the wound was though. I do thoroughly appreciate them calling and admitting they could not care for her, and not charging us for her stay. She was in pretty bad shape - she had lost weight, was covered in feces, had diarrhea, was very weak, and I'm not sure they could get her medicine in her. Again, I don't blame Fantasia as I know she can be neurotic in new situations and with her mobility issues these things can happen. Another one of my Danes came home with a lump on the side of her face and scratches on her nose. She was also a bit skinny. I assume the scratches on her nose came from pushing her nose through or under the kennel door...no big deal. The lump may not even be related to her stay there. I guess I just would have liked to have someone mention it when we picked her up. They seemed to be able to medicate her with no issues. My third Dane was a bit skinny as well. We opted to use the food at Fantasia vs. bringing our own so maybe that is part of it. Lower calorie or maybe the dogs did not eat as much being away from home. All that being said, the Husky and two Chihuahuas were fine. Everyone seemed to be in good spirits (except the one we had picked up early...but that is not their fault). I did send the one Chihuahua with his own food because he is on a special diet. I sent him more than enough food, and the bag was empty when we picked him up. Hopefully he had enough to last him the entire time and if he got extra, he wasn't complaining. Nobody smelled like a kennel, nobody was ill (again, not including the dog we had picked up early), we received back everything we left there. Would I use them again? Yes, probably for a short term stay such as over a weekend (except for my neurotic girl). As far as recommending them, I leave this review for the reader to make their own decisions based on their individual dog's needs. I will say that all the staff we dealt with were very nice. The dogs in the play yard always seemed happy when we drove by. The prices are fair. read more
