I had been a regular & gotten full mani-pedi, massages and regular extras i.e.: full footwrap and scrubs & always tipped 20-25%. I noticed that the owners wife was always polite to my face in English. However in her own language it seemed, she was making crude jokes about my disabilities and making the girls in the shop laugh at me. It also distracted them so most of the time they hurt me & made me bleed with bad cuticle cuts. Since I don't speak their language I took a friend who does, a couple of times. My friend she said "the old fat woman" (the owners wife) was making cruel jokes about every customers physical difference, skin color, fat rolls, skinny legs, nasty nails, dry skin, knobby knees long before I walked in. Yet when entered & she was excitedly cruel about my physical & verbal disabilities. I will not return. I refuse to be abused and bullied in any language. read more

After moving the the area I struggled to find the perfect nail salon, then I came across this place. Got a pedicure (didn't get the girls name) and I loved it. She left my feet feeling amazing and really took her time with me. Recently I went in for a full set with Tina and she did an amazing job. I can truly say this is the best set of nails I've ever had. She did an amazing. Truly recommend this place. Pack your patience though because it does get busy, and they take their time with you which is a good thing. Lucky for all the ones that post good reviews, that got good service and great results. That used to be me. Not going back after I've been going there from day one in the late 80's. Had been driving from Downtown Long Beach to Paramount for almost 8 years now but June 5, 2017 was my last draw. First of all everyone is right.. Don't bother making an appointment because they have no respect. You will sit and wait. Or Stand and feel awkward.. with all that extra people taking up the chairs that are not getting their nails done.. Then the typical... speaking in their language and giggling at every single person that walks in that door. Including me.. So rude. I watched them do that over and over again. No professionalism at all. They are money hungry... why are you going to ask me if I want my toe nails cut if that's part of the pedicure? Or why do I have to tell you to cut on the sides on my toe nails when that too is part of the pedicure. All they are worried about is if you want designs or gel or french... Anything that involves charging more.. What about what they were tested on when they got their license? It's more about the cleaning than the color.. but they forget that part! Last.. there is this older lady.. I asked her name but she only mumbled it, even though I asked her more than once. She mostly does manicures and nails. She was so rough on my feet even though I kept jerking my feet from her. She would just grab it tight and scrub til she hurt me and not on callus. That lady was bad. I asked her if she hated to do pedicures and she didn't deny it. I told her she was hurting me but she kept doing it. Oh she made me so mad. they still had the nerve to charge me $43 for a horrible pedicure and gel color on my hands. No manicure... I suppose every little thing they ask you if you need done adds up! I'm sure I will find a loving place Downtown Long Beach that deserves my money. read more

* FIRST VISIT * Overview I really wanted to love this place because of the rave reviews and photos of clean nails with great designs, BUT I was unsatisfied. I am willing to come back with a recommended nail tech, but won't be going back to Yvonne. First impressions I called ahead of time to schedule an appointment with someone who can also do nail design, but when I walked in they just gave me to whoever was the first available. This place is pretty chill, they have disposable liners for the pedicure bowls, and seemed pretty clean. Process I told her that my nails were thin from having acrylics so to please be gentle, but she still pushed super hard; even when I told her it hurt, she gave me a stern look like I was crazy and kept going. On top of being too rough, she cut me with the nipper and there was blood on my cuticle when I checked it after my appointment. Lastly, she kept forgetting if I put my gel nails under the light and made me put them in more times than needed (I already know it's bad for my skin). Last impressions Yvonne really gave an honest effort to copy the nail design I gave her, but since she didn't listen when I told her she was going too hard AND because she cut my cuticle too deep, I will have to give this place a low rating. Is there a way to give negative starts?! This place is horrible! I walked in and told them what I wanted and got something completely different! I walked in with long, pink, coffin shaped acrylics. I asked for a fill and to shorten them to medium length. As Ronald was doing my nails he took them off to apply a new set, which I didn't ask for. But what was I gonna do, it was already happening. I was hoping to come out with medium length, coffin acrylic. but instead I was HIGHLY DISSATISFIED, when I told him I don't like the nails and it's not what I asked for, he was so rude and unprofessional and started yelling at me. Tried showing me footage from the camera but he was on his phone WHILE he was doing my nails. Oh and should I mention, I HAD to tell him to be careful while he was using the machine to file nails, he cut me and burned me. UGH HORRIBLE SERVICE! And tried to get me to pay for something I didn't ask for. My lady was on vacation and I was in desperate need for a fill. Never going back to this place. This spot is a mediocre spa but i needed to go and get my nails done since my go to spot overbooked me and i couldnt wait which was disappointing...but the service over rated and prices. My nail quality is meh* not omg happy but it will do i guess...they don't do good cleaning up up your nails i still have paint residue on my fingers also the space of the cuticle and acrylic ratio HORRIBLE...i came for a fill leaving like i did my own nails amateur...again you get what you paid OH YEAH almost forgot THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH!!!! Tina is truly the best! I love her nail creativity she has! She always creates a new beautiful design for me! She also has the best ideas and is very kind to me she makes sure I am satisfied with my nail shape, style and design!! The best thing is that it's for a low price at another shop I would definitely be spending over $65 dollars with designs similar to what Tina made me however, This is why I go to Tina her work is good quality for a great buck! Horrible I came in on May 4th my appointment was at 430 I didn't leave until 8:30pm they forgot my appt was for full set and pedicure they didn't start my pedicure til 5:30 after that she did other people designs before starting on me which I had a appt then when I got In the chair at 7 she told me the nails I wanted was gonna take to long bih if I would've started me at my appt time we wouldn't had this convo she kept stoping on my nails then went to eat while she told me she was just going to the bathroom then she started on someone else's eye brows I couldn't leave because I was going on vacation the next day and couldn't go nowhere else that is the only reason I stayed I will never go back again 4hrs for just a pedicure n gel manicure Tina yo service was horrible read more

I am just leaving Kaiser from the doctors paying about $30 or more of medicine after getting an infection from this place. Where do I begin,? So TINA/ owner has been doing my nails for a while now and I come all the way from San Pedro, she's great at her work have to admit to that, but today I have to say she finally pisst me off! She's always late to her appointments I try to be patient and not say nothing because she does an amazing job. But this morning I had a 10:00 appointment with her for a fill and she shows up takes another customer before me right as I was finishing up with my pedicure and her husband told her she had an appointment with me and she said I could wait she was gonna do a quick gel, anyways I said TINA I have a 10:00 appointment with you, and gets upset and tells me we'll get up! Get up! I was in total shock that I froze which she got lucky I did. As if I bothered her because I said that and there were other ppl around. And was rude and I said I did call you've told me to call you text you and I do! But you never answer or reply! So your husband is the only one that makes your appointments but yet you don't keep them! Very rude not professional as an owner, she lost a good customer they make you wait forever! So I really want to like this place! The customer service is awesome and Tina is so sweet. My only problem is I got my nails done Thursday around 4pm. Went home made dinner and washed dishes and the realized two of my nails had the gel chipping off. So I went back that night and they were able to fix it for me no problems. Then Friday night I realized again the same nail was chipping along with another nail. So it's Saturday morning and I'm back getting it fixed. As you can imagine this is a huge inconvenience. I came in here the other day and I have been coming here often And a man did my nails an he has done my nails before an always tends to hurt my hands an cuts my skin and I always ask for a women but I hate waiting , this time around he did my nails super thin and I asked for Matt flat black and the color came out not what I pictured and my nails look bumpy and not what I imagined , unhappy with the outcome this time , place is usually good I'm only giving it two stars based on my last visit ...but it's generally a good place I don't recommend the man though read more

First time and last time I will be coming... to start when I walked in I was not immediately greeted they were talking Im guessing for who was going to help me... once I told them what I needed I was seated and my fill and pedicure began the lady doing my pedicure did good she took her time and I was very pleased and the other lady doing my fill did ok I did not really like her work for the coffin shaped I asked her one nail was all slanted I fixed when I got home overall it was JUST OK. So when it was time to pay I was told they did not accept Debit only CASH! There was no sign outside that mentioned this I was told to go get cash but they would keep my phone while I went... so off I go to the bank in a rush on a rainy day and to top if off I slipped and feel really badly... I was so annoyed by this point I just got up got the money went back paid and got my cell phone back... I would rate this nail salon a zero, if I could. I was seated with a male technician. As he began to shape my nails I noticed he didn't know what he was doing. I felt like walking out as soon as I saw the terrible "coffin" shape he left. He decided not to proceed painting my nails until I paid him. once I told him I didn't have cash, He demanded that I needed to get the cash first. I went to the bank across the street. When I arrived back he was with another client. I was not attended for 20 minutes. Another nail technician noticed I was seating, and she asked me to go get the money. When I told her I had the money she decided to paint my nails. She tried to pursue me to get gel, but i declined. She applied about three coats of nail polish, which caused it to drip off my nails. I pointed it out and she only brushed it off leaving streaks behind. The nail polish wouldn't dry. I left thinking it would dry by the time i get home, but instead the nail polish came off, in a sticky like goo( they never dried!) I have acrylic residue in my cuticles of the excessive amount of acrylic he used! I went home so unhappy n still had to pay for it! Onc I got home I wanted to removed them so bad! I tried fixing them, but was no use they looked horrible!By far this is the worst experience I've had at a nail salon. They obviously only care about the money and not how they do their job. read more

I tried giving this place a second chance, since the owner did a good job on my first visit. BUT unfortunately the owner does not leave good employees while she's away. I came in on a Friday afternoon and I was given a 30 minute wait time, I said okay I'll be back in 30 minutes. By the time the 30 minutes were up, I came back in and she tried to tell me to take a seat and pick a color because she had already taken ANOTHER customer for a manicure....(in other words take a seat and let me waste another 30 minutes of your time). I didn't even argue with her but it HIGHLY upsets me when nail salons take on customers they don't have room for and LIE on wait times just so they can make a few extra dollars. WORST NAIL SHOP EVER. It's frustrating to make your customers wait because not only are you WASTING THEIR TIME but you WILL END UP LOOSING MONEY!!! Stop lying to your customers AND BE HONEST when times are requested. read more
