Alrighty y'all lemme tell you about this place. It is the BOMMBBBB. My bestie and I have been coming to this specific salon for some time now all because of Vinny. We have had our nails done by him since 2018/2019 and we have never been disappointed. If anything we are always super impressed with the outcome. I am constantly getting complimented by my nails and of course I tell everyone about Vinny and his greatness. He is super friendly, conversational, funny, and sweet. I always have a good time with him and my bestie when we go. The best part is that the nails always last at LEAST a month so the retention time is good with affordable prices. I don't usually come with complicated designs but in case there is some difficult line work, his wife Gina usually takes care or it. Her attention to detail and line work is immaculate. Lowkey idk how she does it every time. Always a slay Aside from nails, the actual salon is always clean, spacious, and parking is never an issue. I went for last fourth of July to get my nails done done with my mom and cousin. The experience was nice we all got our nails and feet done . The nails turned out out fine and really nice. Then when it was time for our feet to be done then I started to have A problem. On both of my feet my pinky toe nails are cracked they have Ben like this all my life then the main guy start a painting, my foot and it was looking very nice with when he got to my pinky. He started to make fun of it. He like he was like saying about how it was cracked and stuff and then he went to go tell his coworkers to come look at it, and I was so mad and embarrassed. I would literally never go back there now I am so conscious about that I will never go to any nail salon again. Yes this is the right place and since then no have taken my business elsewhere by that I mean I'm to afraid to go to any nail salon again . I like Gilo Nails as my neighborhood salon. It's a love/disappointment experience with them, each experience. I like the work they do on my pedicures almost every time. Sometimes there's a little missed cuticle or missing polish close to the edge. I normally don't mind speaking up if I notice it during my appointment but sometimes they're so in a rush (rarely but when it happens, it's HAPPENED) that I don't get a chance to see my toes before they're slipping the little foam slippers on my feet and asking me to clear the chair. On the most part, their work and attitudes keep me coming back. The reason I listed love AND disappointment is that my prescheduled appointment time gets pushed back every single time by at least 10-15 minutes. I know they're a very busy, clean, and local salon but appointments are made for a reason. It's almost at the point that I'd rather to look somewhere else if I know I have an event later in the day. I'll keep the "love" rating bc of the attitudes that are given despite their overwhelming clientele. They are always so kind and attentive in each visit. They make sure to have music videos or shows on tv to keep you entertained while you sit in the queue or get your nails done. Mixed rate for mixed experiences during the same appointment. As for the actual salon, they are clean, well-lit, well spaced, many of polish options, and decent prices with massage chairs (for pedis) that look kept. I called this place for myself, three of my sisters and daughter. I let Vinny know I would be there around 11. I got there a little early and waited about 15 mins. The lady who did my nails was very gentle considering I am 9 months pregnant. I loved my special pedicure and I got the classic manicure which both came out really nice. My daughter had designed nails and it was reasonable prices. Salon was clean and good customer service. My daughter and sisters loved their nails. I felt like the nail techs were thorough, focused, and not rushed compared to other places. I live in OC but I am willing to make the drive here. fyi : Tips in cash only!!! read more

Congratulations on opening GILO! My mother & I have followed Vinny from Gummee to Letto and now, GILO! His attention to detail is AMAZING! Their ability to replicate a picture of someone else's nail is unbelievable. Give them a chance you won't regret it! I've I do recommend making an appointment if you're in a bit of a rush and want to lock in a date! It's worth it! Their shop is always clean, along with tools, stations and bathrooms! It's a new shop in a familiar neighborhood with a lot of eateries and stores around! I'm so happy for them! It's rare that I leave reviews, but I love reading them. The pictures on Yelp look good which convince me that it's can be done. I called in and make appointment and when I get there I was kind of disappointment. The person who does the nail that show on the webpage is NOT the one who done your nail. Read the person name and book them if you want something like the picture show. Because other lady there couldn't do it. I don't need something fancy or specific as I do my nail every 2 weeks so it was fine. But if you picky or look for something exact as your reference then choose the right place or the right one. What bother me is the lady who does my nail couldn't even get nail polish evenly smooth and stay in my fingernail. I don't know if it because she too busy chatting or couldn't do it right. She keep talking with another lady and not pay any attention to my nail. My finger were hurt from grinding and sanding, I had to remind her many time. They did a beautiful job on my gel nails, honestly I feel like these are the best gel nails Ive ever had. The only thing I can say that I didn't like was that it might not be the most hygienic place, bot sure if they reuse supplies but I can't say for sure since I didn't see it with my own eyes. My GO TO spot. Everyone is very friendly and communicative. If you don't like something, just tell them and they have no problem adjusting. Started getting only Gel X because of Gina; the nails last over a month. Vinny (owner) is very kind and hospitable. They're very clean and always have a funny show playing. I really enjoy this place. I've been going to Vinny and Gina for 6 years now, over 3 different salons - this is their newest shop and I'll follow them wherever they go as they're not only amazing at what they do, but they're amazing people and have been so kind to me over the time I've gone to them. The new salon is spacious, clean, and has an amazing color selection for gel, dip, and acrylic powder! Vinny does my acrylics - whether you keep it simple or you love intricate designs, he can do it all! Between him and Gina, there's nothing they can't do. Vinny is the best at shaping, as well as creating a natural, secure acrylic. After all of these years, I've never had a single nail lift, or break off. I go 3-4 weeks sometimes without a fill and they almost always look as good as day 1, even the gel. He's a master at what he does and I get compliments on my nails all the time! It's definitely best to make an appointment if you want to see him for acrylics as he's usually booked a couple weeks out at any given time. Gina does my pedicures, which are the best and most consistent I've ever had, and she also does different designs on my nails sometimes - she's the design queen! Every picture I've shown her is always replicated perfectly. Between her and Vinny, they are a dream team! I always look forward to getting to see them.
