It was the worst experience of my life. I arrived to schedule an appointment, they gave it to me a week later. A week later I returned and there was no one who was going to assist me, I waited 1 hour and nothing. until one of the ladies took pity on me and took care of me. My hair was ash blonde, and I only had to cover the roots, I added an orange color to it and left it in two colors. Not to mention that there was a racist older lady who looked at me with disdain. for not pronouncing perfect English. I just want to say that as professionals they leave a lot to be desired. I made a reservation for highlights with my mom, and we arrive early to our appointment, we sit for about 5 minutes when a very rude stylist I didn't catch her name but had short colorful hair comes up to me telling me that my salon artist was very behind because of a priority appointment, no not prior, priority. I don't even know where to begin to praise Maria on what a amazing job she did with my hair. I came into the salon with the worst haircut of my life, discolored, hideous "balayage" color (which definitely wasn't correct at all) all I wanted was my hair to not look like a joke when I walked out. After around 5 hours, lots of "oh my god" moments (since my hair was so disgustingly done before, my 2 year old daughter could have done it better) it was fixed! Not only fixed but definitely blew my expectations out of the water! What a Disaster. They were all dressed unprofessionally to start with, not at all friendly. I couldn't even tell you the stylist name. My 4 year old son has such a lopsided hair cut, my dog could have done better. The back is all uneven and the front and sides stick up. Not to mention the front is super short in some places and long in others. I can't even use anything to get it to lay down. I wanted my 2 year old daughters bangs cut straight across. They go way up on one side and go to long on the other side. Not to mention they are zig zag all the way across. The only way to straighten out his hair is to Buzz Cut it. She has never had her hair cut before and she would have to have her bangs cut to 1/4 of an inch long. Do your self a Favor, run as fast as you can in the opposite direction. For all this, it cost me $25.00. To top it off, no receipt to even prove we were there. read more

My husband is a regular at this Fantastic Sams location. He manages to communicate what he wants most of the time ( he has a Spanish accent) but there have been times where they are off. I believe there is only 1 Spanish speaking employee and she is not always present . So this place is not really Spanish speaking friendly. Besides the language barrier service here is fantastic :) waiting time isn't that long but it can get busy and crowded. Prices are reasonable and staff is always professional and friendly. read more

*Update after posting this on my social media pages and theirs, the manager after blaming me for having my hair look this way offered me a refund. I took the refund and got my hair fixed by a wonderful girl who also has had a bad experience with this fantastic sams. They also deleted their facebook page and started a new one. The only reason I am leaving this review is because I would never want anyone to feel the way I did walking out of there. I would give this place zero stars only because of how they treated me. I went in to get my hair highlighted last week. I went in prior for a consultation with a picture and the hairdresser Lara gave me a verbal guarantee that she would be able to give me similar results. This is how I walked out of that salon. When I let them know I wasn't happy with the results they were rude and insulting. I understand that my hair wasn't going to look like the picture but the lines are so harsh and it's not blended at all. If the hairdresser did not know how to color hair she should never have attempted it. Also, This says a lot about the name she wants to put out there for herself. She should never have let me walk out the salon with my hair looking like this. We asked for a corporate number, we asked for a manager and nothing. We've had the worst customer service. TLDR: Larra's awesome. Had an awesome exp. She's great with kids. So let me start off by saying that I am always sceptical about going to the hair salon after several years of bad experiences. It's been probably almost 4 years since I was actually excited to show my hair off and looking forward to the next time I need/want a cut. Larra was my hair stylist as well as my two oldest girls and we're all very satisfied with our experiences. She is very nice and patient and actually listens to the customer. I loved that she didn't just go right in chopping everything off because I had mentioned how unsure I was about the length I wanted on my sides. So it was really awesome of her to take her time and discuss the whole thing with me and keep checking that it was the right length or if I wanted more cut off or not. I have terrible social anxiety but I felt really comfortable with her enough to let her know when I wasn't feeling an aspect of the hair cut so we could change it. With my kids she was also very nice and patient and about 2 weeks later my kids are still really happy with their hair cuts. We'll definitely be coming back here and wish we had sooner. read more

Larra Robles colored and cut my hair twice now and I absolutely love her sense of humor and her ability to get me the color that I want that nobody else has been able to do without damaging my hair. I went from dark brown to red with purple highlights and absolutely love it. I asked the lady for a trim and she took it upon herself to cut it way shorter then I said. I asked her to thin it out and she said okay. Then later asked if I was sure I didn't want layers. If I wanted layers I would've told her. I said yes I'm sure. She started to thin it out and now getting home to straighten it, it looks like she cut some way too short up and looks stupid now and she already cut it shorter then I asked for. Worst ever! I called Famous Sam's because my hair dresser fell ill and had to close shop. She had very reasonable prices so I knew I would have to pay more. While making my appointment over the phone I asked if I could purchase and use a Groupon coupon. I was told yes. So prior to my appointment I went online and bought it. When I arrived to my appointment, I then show them the coupon. The manager says, we don't accept those. The stylist tells her that I had asked and she said yes. After going around and around they tell me that to cut and foil my shoulder length hair it will cost me $149.50! But that they will give me $5 off with their coupon. Wow, thanks! I had already spent $57 on the Groupon that I'm now out as well. They also asked me to sign this waver basically saying that if my hair fell off it's not their fault. Really, does that happen often? This is not Nordstrom's salon. Not even close. Why would I or anyone get their hair done here? Luckily I had searched and I found Celeste's Home Hair Care. I left Famous Sam's and got a great foil, cut and style from Celeste for less money. She is fabulous. She used quality products, served me wine and gave me the best cut and color I've ever had since moving to AZ, 7 years ago. And it only cost me $80. She's right here in Buckeye. So lady's, just avoid Famous Sam's all together! Learn from my time and research. You'll be glad you did. I've found my new Hair Salon and couldn't be happier. read more

I have had my hair done here a few times. I was forced into paying extra for toner and extra foils. My highlights were awful and the color isn't blonde but a caramel color. Then I took my son in, and his hair is so short. I called and the manager said to bring him back in. There isn't any more to cut. I Recently took my children to get a haircut on the Watson location on sunday 01/05. Whoever cut my 1 yr old sons hair, i didnt catch her name (pixie cut black hair kinda gothic look) kept making snarky comments while cutting my sons hair, she was trying really hard to be "nice" but she didnt fool me, i had to bite my tongue as i am not a confrontational person the truth was she is not good with children, i took pictures as it was my sons first cut and her face was of pure disgust, i think her comment was "ewww why is his hair sticky"? I just took my 2 1/2 year old for a trim. A lady named Maria serviced us. She was so awesome and very careful with how she cut. Maria did my hair...she's so nice. I didn't make any appointments and she was able to do an all over lightening...at 6pm when they close at 8pm. She was great and completely honest with me when going from dark to light. She even stayed after they closed to tone my hair a second time because she was not satisfied with the color when I could barely see a difference. I took my girlfriend in to fantastic sams hours before close to get a simple layered haircut. And when we first walked in all the stylists were sitting in the back on their phones. Took a minute for one if them to finally get up to come help us and when she finally did she just seemed very disgusted and inconvenienced by us. She then proceeded to tell us the cut my girlfriend wanted would cost her over one hundred dollars and that there was no way we were getting it done that day. Literally two and a half hours before they closed while no one was doing anything and there were no customers in the store. I'm sorry but where I work if a customer comes in one stinkin minute before close wanting to spend one dollar I'm stuck there for however long it takes to service the customer. Two hours before close and an over one hundred dollar haircut and you couldn't help us? That's a good way to lose customers and get reviews like this. I went in for a simple long layer for me and trim and bangs for my 5 year old daughter. My layers came out horrible. The stylist washed my hair, cut it, then let me walk out of there with a soaked head. Seriously?? I've NEVER had to ask for my hair to be blow dried. I didn't need it styled or anything, but dry would have been nice. The other lady who did my daughters bangs....how do you mess up bangs so badly if you're a professional? Worst hair cut I have ever had. Who cuts the bottom part of your head with clippers and then tries to blend it with scissors? I ask for a half inch off the back and before I new it she had removed an inch and a half plus. Going to have to go to another stylist tomorrow to get it fixed.
