Used to come here in 2021. Management must have changed. They have a new hire who didn't even know how to paint nails. Someone should've stayed by her. I complained the first time that my big toe was clumpy and management didn't do anything. The painting kept getting worse and I asked management to just come and paint it for me. This is my 5th time here and Mary does a great job with my dip nails! It has quickly become my go to nail salon since moving to this area. This salon is also in the cheaper range compared to nail salons around this area. I pay around $35 without tip per a set. They have lasted 3-4 weeks for me. I have only done dip nails here, so I cannot say anything about how long lasting paint/gel is. If you're looking for super intricate designs like gold foiling or little flowers on your nails, this isn't the place for you. I do like the color selection of dip they have. They always take their time and do an amazing job! I have yet to be disappointed and have came here several times. The deluxe pedi is worth the extra cash, but if you really want to treat yourself go organic. Your toes will thank you later. Kelly does a great job on my solar nails. I think this was one of the best pedicures for my money I have ever received. The salon was clean and quiet (no music, which might bother some, but after listening to 15 year olds jabber all day, I found it refreshing), and somewhat empty--there were two other clients and four technicians. The woman who worked on my toes was super sweet and very thorough. She spent twenty minutes trimming my cuticles and filing and buffing my nails, another fifteen exfoliating my feet and ten minutes massaging each if my legs. It was heavenly! She was very gentle and extremely careful. The polish job on my fingers and toes was perfect--no smudges or bubbles. The grand total for a spa pedicure and polish change on my fingers? $26. Worst salon experience of my life. I went in for a shellac mani and regular pedi after growing out my nails for a few months and it was horrible. Ben did my manicure and messed up the gel so it was super thick and uneven on a few of the nails. When I pointed it out, he got frustrated and instead of soaking off the gel and redoing it, he starting trying to even it by angrily filing down the gel after it had already dried. In the process, he also filed off my skin! I have been getting my nails done for years and thus has never happened. Then when I told him he hurt me, he ignored me and decided to soak off the gel so he wrapped my bleeding finger in acetone and foil. It hurt so bad. He redid the nail three times and this took nearly two hours for a simple shellac manicure. Then on the way home, the gel on my thumb completely came off! This one also one of the nails he redid so I am furious. I called to ask for a manager and it sounded like him that answered the phone. He hung up on me! I have a job interview today and now I have to stop by to get them to fix it! I will be demanding a refund. read more

I think I have finally found my nail spot in Houston!! It may be hard to believe, but I had tried dozens of nail salons in Houston and I got cut numerous times when they did my manicure! So honestly I was really scared when I walked into Elegant, thinking if it was going to be another disaster. But WOW! The young lady there did a fantastic job on my manicure. Very careful and gentle. And the shellac gel nail she did for me was thin, slick, and strong. I had it for three weeks already and it looks like I just did it today. The salon is very clean and also decorated very nicely. It actually gives you the high end feeling without the ridiculous charges. The price is also lower than the crowded little nail salon across the street. I moved to California two years ago and have been missing the ladies at Elegant Nail. As soon as I got into town this afternoon, they were my first stop! The atmosphere is very relaxed, and their new decor is lovely. Most important: these ladies do high quality nails at a bargain price. Their basic Mani/Pedis are "spa" packages elsewhere and would cost twice as much. Plus, they usually last two full weeks, minimum, under rough wear and tear. It took almost 3 hours, and we only go the "basic" package. It's well priced and they have an ok selection of colors, but it wasn't anything special. I decided to bring my sister back here a couple of weeks later after a vacation, and they didn't have anyone working! We came 30 minutes after they opened and the only person there was a receptionist or something. As in, she didn't do nails. She said the actual nail "artists" or whatever wouldn't be in for another hour if we wanted to wait. Why bother open your salon if no one can get their nails done until 90 minutes after you open? read more

I don't think they actually received training for dip nails. I've been getting them for years. Worst job I have ever had. She literally redid each nail 2-4 times. Took over two hours. Not the nail shape I asked for. Looks like thick bubble gum nails. Bubbled top coat. Absolutely terrible. Pedicure was fine, but way Overpriced for what I got. Pretty good service; your typical nail salon run by Asians, mostly Vietnamese. Their hours are pretty good as they close weekdays and Saturdays at 9 pm, Sundays at 6. Their instruments seem pretty sanitary, too: they make you sign a release form before they use the instruments on you. Had a mani-pedi for $30; the nice touch for me was they put hot towels on both hands and feet after massaging them; sweet! Me and a friend came in on a late Saturday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. We quickly got sat and had people start on our pedicures. I had a lady that worked on my nails and another on my toes. The gel color I chose for my nails was almost out, so they chose an alternative color that was more sheer than I wanted, but what can they do right? As my friend and I were getting worked on, three more people came in, so I sort of felt rushed because my lady had to redo my nails since the other color was out. By the end of the experience, the lady had made my pinky nail bleed and my entire right hand was crooked as hell. All my nails on my right hand curved upwards to the right. I guess it's partly my fault because I didn't ask to look on that hand, only my left. But really how can she not notice?? Also by the time I got to the car, I noticed that my pinky was still wet, meaning she didn't lock in that finger with alcohol. I saw her do my entire hand, but she didn't cover each nail one by one. I was just extremely annoyed and I told my friend I wasn't going to come back lol My friend liked her nails though and I think she came back a few weeks later. Everyone was extremely nice and the even though outside looks a little ratchet, inside looked clean and nice. Pretty cheap for shellac and a pedi honestly. read more

My experience here was ok. The parking lot is fairly small, so I ended up parking across the street and having to walk across traffic on Shepherd. (Not very safe..) You are asked to sign in and asked what services and then to choose a nail color polish. There weren't too much of a variety of choices (I've seen more colors in other salons) and the whole environment was awkward because no music was playing in the background. I ended up getting a mani/pedi for $30 (oh and BTW, they don't accept AMEX) I was satisfied with the pedi since it was the whole 9 yards of getting them cut, feet massaged, warm lotion and hot towel to rinse your legs off. A guy was assigned to me, which I was skeptical about but he didnt do a very good job getting rid of the roughness at the bottom of my feet (caused by wearing heels all day) He did take his time but I ended up seeing some tiny bubbles in my nailpolish. A lady was doing my manicure and I don't think she did a good job, I dont think she understood english because I asked to get my nails buffed to make them shiny and clear polish and she ended up just filing and putting creams/lotions/nail stuff on my hands. But no buffing my nails :(. I was disappointed with that outcome. She gave a mean back massage, it didn't feel relaxing or that comfortable. Nonetheless, $30 for both services is not that bad. This is a great nail salon. Big and spacious on the inside with great service. Very clean, I mean they take the equipment from sterile bags for each person! (Can you say clean) The pedicure I got was awesome! Also had a great 10 minute message on my legs where they use hot lotion and oil and then place a hot towel at the end.
