I had an appointment at 5:30. I walked in and nobody acknowledged me. Nobody was sitting at the front desk. I finally got someone's attention and all she did was redirect me over to somebody's nails that she was already in the middle of doing. I was very confused. I then sat down in the seats closest to the entrance and sat there an additional 15 minutes without being acknowledged again. I felt very uncomfortable and overlooked. They consistently leave you waiting for 30-45min for your appointment and don't even give the courtesy of calling and let you know they are running behind. HORRIBLE! During my recent visit, I observed several issues that I believe are both unsafe and unprofessional: 1. Unclean Environment - The salon did not appear to follow basic sanitation practices. Tools and surfaces were not disinfected properly between clients, which raises serious health and hygiene concerns. The lady was using an unclean file on me and a sharp tool to try taking out my ingrowns. She failed multiple times, if they can't do a service correctly why say yes. I genuinely hope I don't get an infection from this. I told her to give me her tools and I could take them out properly. She got upset. Not just the tools but her hair also made contact with my feet throughout the pedicure, super unsanitary. 2. Unlicensed Services - I was informed (and observed) that services were being performed by individuals who are not properly licensed. I asked to see the lady that was doing my nails cosmo license and she said they couldn't finish me and refused me service. I asked her to get someone else to finish my nails. They got someone else and I didn't get to see the license until the end when the male employee came. Pretty sure he printed a fake one out because I looked up her license number on the dca.ca.gov site and SHE WAS NOT FOUND. This is not only illegal but also puts customers at risk of harm or infection. 3. Unprofessional and Rude Behavior - When I tried to address my concerns politely, the staff responded dismissively and with rudeness, which made the overall experience uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I told them I was extremely disappointed and irritated and all they could offer me was a $10 discount. Absolutely insane. Ultimately DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I came in for a full set and gel pedicure with my sister. The nail tech Andy was really rough with the drill on my cuticles even after I would ask him to be more careful because it was hurting. Four of my fingers/ cuticles began to bleed and just put on a gel to stop the bleeding but proceeded to be very rough. He said he would clean up my cuticles at the end but instead forgot my top coat and just rushed the whole service at the end to fix the mistake. The length of my nails on My right hand are so much shorter than the left hand and just bumpy and sloppy to be honest. One of my nails ripped down the center, and then they decided to try and charge me for this, even though I still had part of my gel-x on. I have to admit I was a bit hesitant to attempt because we have immunocompromised people in our home. I was immediately asked to use the hand sanitizer before signing in and my temperature was taken. A face shield and mask are required for both patrons and staff. They have customers distanced very well by skipping a chair in between and plexus glass at the counter as well as nail stations. I paid $120 for my dip nails to chip within 70 hours... I was quoted $75 and charged $120, not a drop of lotion was used in my mani, my hands were not even cleaned before the tech started to put polish on, the polish had to be put on three times bc the color shown did not match what was coming out of the bottle, the tech cut me, and the place was filthy. my nails and hands hurt from how rough the tech was treating them. Getting your nails done should not be a stressful experience. the staff were rude and unprofessional. I gave the tech photos of what I wanted (white metallic nails) she tried to paint them nude and add big chunky little kid sparkles and tried to tell me thats what I asked for... this was for my engagement photos. The best nail salon in the South Bay, hands down! Ben is magical with elaborate nails and Nickie is fabulous with hair, waxing, nails... she does it all! Q & Johnny are also great with decorative nails. I'm an average girl, but sometimes I ask for fun, quirky nails and Ben always delivers! Dip powder has enabled my natural nails to grow super long, so I can ask for a variety of shapes. Nonetheless, I always have a fantastic experience! Masks and gloves worn by employees. Face shields available as well. They thoroughly wipe down all chairs, tables and pedicure spa chairs after each client and make sure to spread out the clients throughout their large space. This salon was recommended by a friend. I received a gift certificate for a pedicure and they were very accommodating and scheduled my appointment for the day after Christmas. That is a very busy time of year but they made it happen as I live out of state now and only come back a few times a year to visit family. Lisa was amazing. She worked for an hour on legs and feet and she was so good. When I left I felt like I was walking on air. I'm giving this 5 stars because I had the best foot massage during my Pedicure. I completely forgot her name which I feel bad about because I would want you all to experience her work. I'm not one to ask for another 10 minutes but she massages my foot where I didn't realize it was tight and it was exactly what I needed. Not only did I get a pedicure but a manicure as well. It appears everyone does gel. I was the only one who brought my own color which wasn't gel. They were great and did a great job. I wanted to like this place because they were very accommodating to my friend and I as walk-ins! I had broken a nail earlier in the day so being accommodated quickly was great! Not long into my session, the nail tech cut inside my nail bed trying to trim the broken nail off to make her job quicker. I had to ask her for acetone soak instead. As my nail soaked, she began to unnecessarily file my other nails to pass the time -- causing a few other little cuts around my cuticles. She is shocked to see blood around my cuticles and tries to soften her filing here and there to which she still continues to file down my nails deep into the skin. She eventually leaves and has another nail tech finish adding the polish and the whole session for broken nail, acrylic fill and gel color totals $55. My friends experience is similar if not even more painful as her tech also filed deeply very unnecessarily into the skin -- and her full set, gel color and simple line design totals $67. Would not recommend this place AT ALL if you're looking for a relaxing beauty experience. Better luck literally anywhere else! read more

The one time I wasn't happy (post-paint job gone sideways), I went back and they promptly fixed it- no problem, no questions asked. Fun Fact: I'm a nail and cuticle biter/picker (oh the joys of anxiety!). So if there's anything extra leftover post-mani, I'll get after it promptly ruining their masterpiece. Honestly just not good quality work. The ladies are super nice, so I feel bad writing this, but at my regular salon my gel x nails last up to four weeks with zero lifting. After one week they started lifting so bad I had to go back and ask for two to be re-done which they charged me for. I could care less about the money, but when my nails are so bad they need to be replaced after a week, I don't feel like charging is good business practices. I spent $225 for two full sets and a pedicure and then had to spend $20 (with tip because I'm not an asshole) the next week for two of them to be re done. Always the cleanest salon, now COVID safe with even more cleaning than before, with masks and face shields plus temperature checks and hand sanitizers when you enter. You would never have been infected in this place before, but the owners and employees had to suffer due to the crazy governor here! Such a shame they had to stay closed for so long, but now that they are open, business is still slow, so they are still suffering! Ben and Nickie run this wonderful salon to perfection and have their family assist them at the front counter. Ben and Nickie also work, non-stop, keeping the place spotless when they are not taking care of their customers. The massage/pedicure chairs are wiped and sanitized as soon as the patrons leave and everything always sparkles and shines. Q and Li take care of my mani/pedis and both give great massages as part of the treatment. And yes, I am a man and it is nice to be cleaned and pampered. Almost every time my wife and I were in the shop, pre-COVID-19, there would be couples enjoying and relaxing together. Regularly I make a day out of it when Nickie cuts my hair in addition! She also styles my wife's hair and does tattoos, waxing and facials too! If you have been to this wonderful salon before, know they are open and get back in there. I really got lazy after moving to Manhattan Beach area. I stopped going to my favorite nail salon Marie Nails, at Melrose (WeHo) area. I saw this place driving by several times and honestly didn't have the aesthetic appeal that I was used to. BUT my nails were in dire need and it was a case of emergency. I just called them up and made an appointment the day of. It was easy. I walked in and got the basic pedi and gel mani done for half the price I was used to paying. Granted they don't particularly specialize in nail art but I was happy with just pretty basic gel nails. Sometimes simple is good. And I can get used to spending less money.
