We were very excited to try this restaurant, and the experience was very underwhelming. The restaurant was not even packed, and the noise level was so loud that our party had a difficult time hearing each other. The trout dip and wedge salads were delicious, so we had high hopes for our main courses. What a qdisappointment. The steak and eggs ordered med rare came out med well, the chicken breast was dry and flavorless, and the eggs on the Eggs Benedict were not poached correctly and didn't hold any shape. It was basically raw. We did let our server know. And be aware that their tip system calculates at a min of 20% on the entire taxed amount. Had a future dinner reservation here as well, but we will be canceling. There are too many restaurants in the area to go back for mediocre food and service. read more

I ordered Eggs Benedict and I never knew that you could poach an egg with the result being a rubbery yolk and slimy white...but they have mastered that art! The Hollandaise was hard to discern as it was mixed in with the slimy egg whites. The waitress did ask if I liked my eggs runny but I assumed she meant the yellow! I rarely send anything back but I made an exception ...they replaced my meal with a nice looking under seasoned frittata with undercooked vegetables. We also ordered the pastry basket for $15. It was ok but looked nothing like the pictures online. I really wanted to like this place...great location for us, nice ambience inside and a charming outdoor seating area. My fiancé and I went here on a whim last weekend. The food was fresh and cooked well. We ordered the deviled eggs to start which were great. I got the rockfish and he got the chicken. We liked the sauces that came with our meats- added some flavor and acid to our dishes. Went here on a Sunday for brunch. I like trying new places and this place intrigued me. The service and cocktails sucked! The food just ok. Nothing new or special. The cocktails were super sweet and they were not made correctly. I ordered a aperol spritz and it was warm, not enough ice and super sweet. Ordered the steak and eggs and it was just ok. They even forgot the sauce that goes with it. The food and drinks are over priced for not so great food and drinks overall. Pastry basket for $15 dollars and again nothing special about it! I don't think I'll be going here again and I wouldn't recommend it. Ted's bulletin is wayyyy better if you are looking for brunch places. read more

Went at lunchtime only 2 other diners there, took 45 minutes to receive our food of 1 soup, 1 salad. They also said they had lemonade but in reality they tried to make in the bar (lemon, soda water, syrup) and barely added any syrup. At forty dollars plus a plate, there's a certain quality of meal one would expect. The food we heightened bar food. We ordered a number of items as we were a large group, and every piece of seafood we ordered was overcooked - octopus, lobster, and shrimp. When we got to the main meal, the pickled carrots were ice cold and rock hard to the point we couldn't even tell they were pickled (the chef then told us to "learn to read") The grits were lukewarm, as if they had been heated in the microwave too short of a time. The lobster mac had lobster that was rubbery to the point of ruining it. At this point we sent it back and asked for the check. For 50 dollars a plate, and multiple dishes being off we could not justify staying for anything else. We went down the street to burger shack. I will say the service was good, they handled us sending the dishes the back impeccably. It was originally this service that kept me from writing a review, unfortunately... the chef was INCREDIBLY rude and condescending which upset me enough to type this review. They messed up five of the dishes we ordered and at their prices, there is absolutely no excuse for overcooking not one, not two, but three seafood dishes. There are many restaurants at the same price point that have all of the following: Better food Better ambiance Better prices. I'd recommend Ada's on the River or Trattoria Villagio. read more

Pretty good I have to say! The egg plant meatballs were outstanding. I had the beets salad and it was a bit salty for me. I tend to cook with pink salt though. I placed my order over the one and picked up 15-20 minutes later. It was ready and the hostess was very pleasant. The place look nice and cozy so I will be coming back for dining in. The menu has some decent shareables, but the main dinner menu is limited and overpriced. Good atmosphere, but I don't get the feel that management are experienced restauranteurs. I had the Burrata and Asparagus, pan-seared scallops with a 10oz ribeye, the grilled zucchini, and a dessert of carrot cake. The scallops and ribeye were expertly prepared. A slight problem with the Burrata; the inside should be slightly creamy. Instead, it was just a ball of mozzarella. It was good, but definitely not spreadable. Still... Cheese... Am I right? The carrot cake, though not too my liking, was beautifully constructed. It had a marscapone topping instead of a cream cheese icing. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't an improvement. The dessert also had a dollop of apple butter along the side. The tart of the apple butter oddly worked. The grilled zucchini.. The grilled zucchini! It. Was. Perfect! I honestly don't know if I would pick the scallops or the zucchini as my favorite. Every single bite of each was worth another bite. I would most assuredly visit here again. My waiter was friendly, efficient and helpful : even reminding me that the Affogato had two shots of espresso ( it was between that and the carrot cake). The lighting and seating were intimate even though it isn't an open floor plan. Good job! We need more restaurants like this one. read more

A bit disappointed in the filet medallions as they were over cooked, but everything else was so good they still earn 4 stars. It's a small restaurant, but never felt too loud or crowded. A surprising new find in Ashburn (open since 2022) that I wish we had discovered earlier. Chef Jorge has crafted some unique and tasty meals featuring local organic ingredients and lots of imagination. Our favorite appetizer was the vegetarian eggplant "meatballs" that will blow your mind with fabulous flavor and texture from a very underated vegetable while the wedge salad had us wondering how good iceberg lettuce could actually taste! Our shared entree was beetf short ribs and it was so much tastier and authentic than most restaurants that serve this dish off the bone and with heavy sauces that hide the underlying meat flavor. This cozy restaurant is near the Goose Greek Harris Teeter and somewhat tucked away in a corner so it's easy to miss driving by. The food is not cheap, but I'd not say it's expensive either for the quality and care Jorge and his staff have taken to prepare something really special...if you like Clyde's, you will love this restaurant. read more

I wanted to like this place but, they served me clam chowder but it was just milky clam water, no potatoes or anything in it, so hot it could scald you and only one tiny part of a clam in it and so very salty i sent it back, the cheff said "i didnt add extra salt" they said they would remake it then never did, i ordered the rockfish and added a lobster tail to it. it was okay, lobster was like $23 for one rather overcooked tail... the potatoes had capers and tomatos as well as olives but they were sliced green pickled olives, it was very overwhelming pickle tasing but potatoes were okay, the fish was full of bones..not just a few, i stopped counting at 12 or 13 (placed them very visible 9n the side of my plate) and I had to lift each flake to safely finish half of it theb gave up eating it... i felt bad already complaining about the clam broth they never even remade. i just wanted to get the check and leave. My husband ordered a steak medium and it arrived well done. We wont be trying this restaurant again. There was only one other table when we were there and the food still took forever to arrive, by the time it did our tiny cokes from a glass bottle were flat and watered down but they apparently charge you for each one as your drink, kinda odd and at least they could be full sized. There are tons of way better priced restaurants in our area thankfully...we dont mind paying the higher prices but we would expect much higher quality food and def without the argument trying to tell me im wrong about food so salty it hurt to eat 2 bites. read more

Amazing staff and great food! We've been here a few times and it's always been a great experience. The waiters are so attentive and the food is delicious. We really enjoyed the fish as well as the half chicken. The short ribs did not disappoint and their fingerling potatoes are divine. Even the kid's burger was high quality. This is becoming a favorite spot for us. It's a small location but very nice ambience and it doesn't feel crowded. My friend and I saw this was a new restaurant and decided to give it a try...SO glad we did! Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Most restaurants over salt their food IMO, but that wasn't the case here. Every item we ordered was seasoned just enough to let the ingredients shine. The rockfish was so good, we didn't even use the lemon butter sauce that came on the side! My favorite appetizers were the octopus and smoked trout dip! Ambiance and service were also great! Welcome to Ashburn Chef Jorge! My family and I had a great experience at Farm & Fork. I was expecting great food/drinks and they met almost all of my expectations. I was hoping for a bit more elegant interior decor but the quality of the food definitely made it for it. I highly recommend saving room for Chocolate Pot de Creme. My only suggestion to the chef is to find slightly larger mussels. read more

Went here for a birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. The entire experience was great and the menu was unique and they put a lot of thought into the ingredients (including calling out the farm that every item comes from). We tasted a bit of everything but would definitely recommend the rustic bread with truffle salt, the crab and corn puppies, and the duck confit. The drinks were also fantastic, especially the Cardinal cocktail which had a nice spicy kick to it. Don't miss the pot de creme for dessert either. The wait staff was solid and even spotted us an additional dessert (carrot cake) on the house for my birthday. Overall it's just great to have a chef-driven driven restaurant like this in ashburn. The head chef came from a Jose Andres restaurant in DC and it definitely shows. Even though it's in a pretty unassuming location, I'd recommend Farm & Fork over some of the other nice restaurants in the area (like Tuskies or Magnolia's) any day of the week. read more

Super disappointed. We ordered the deviled eggs (great), lobster pasta (great). Giving them 2 stars because their $55 Ribeye was super tough and overdone. We don't usually post negative reviews, but we uncomfortably sent it back because it was not edible. To our surprise, the second ribeye was rare (not medium) and super tough as well. It is our understanding that ribeye is usually tender. They offered to not charge, however the service was great and the other food was great, so we refused to not pay. Waiter came and rambled a bunch of waters to us, and since I just heard sparkling and still, I said still.
