Took the family here to catch up on what was happening in their lives. Good place to go. Not overly loud or packed. Food was pretty darn good. Not fancy but quite appetizing. Our waiter was new but tried hard, was quick, and did recommend some good food. Just didn't know where the beer or wine list was so he had to find them. Dessert was so so. Absolutely delicious! We both had the fish and chips, it was wonderful! I also got the onion rings and I really liked them. They fell apart a bit so I can't say they were the best I've ever had but they weren't a disappointment. The sauces were delicious!!! Had some carrot cake for dessert. Very good, a little too cold when it was served. I understand having to store things so they stay fresh but it was pretty cold. I'd give this place four stars if we hadn't waited 45 min for our food. Four of us in our party... 2 ordered French toast, 1 ordered pancakes, and I ordered crab cakes Benedict. None of these items should take 45 min! I will add that there were two other tables with 2 people at each of them and it was 10:30am so being busy wasn't the case. There were way more wait staff (3 ladies at the hostess station up front) and numerous people walking about, but I'm guessing one person cooking?? We love coming here but the last THREE times we're been they have totally forgotten our young daughter meal.... It was taken off the bill all but 1 time. While the food here is very good, this was our second visit. The new location opened in December, and when we visited then, the service was horribly slow. I wrote that off as a new location with new staff and a larger seating area. Today, after being seated, it took over 20 minutes just to get a beer, and over an hour and a half for two salads and a smothered chicken. The server, Allison, stopped talking to us after we complained, and the manager eventually came by and said they had two servers hurt and that they were trying to catch up, but of course servers don't slow the kitchen down. They didn't offer us any compensation or any polite apologies at all. Will not ever come back here. read more

Today we made our first trip to Farm to Fork. We are asking ourselves what took us so long. I had the beef medallions with the mac and cheese and fried green tomatoes. Beef was cooked perfectly and the sides were to die for. Friends in our party had today's special of the Loaded Chicken. A boneless chicken breast topped with bacon, BBQ sauce, cheese, chives, and Sour Cream. Yes Sour Cream. I tasted it and it was also awesome. The staff at the restaurant was very nice. Fell far short of expectations! Poorly designed, no ambience. Service nonchalant sometimes non existent. I ordered a brisket sandwich and fries. Had great potential. Deluxe brioche bun, decent brisket and fries but plate was full of liquid and bun and fries were soaked. Just careless preparation. No sign of any barbque sauce and waitress disappeared. My husband ordered hamburger steak as did my niece. She wanted hers well done and it was definitely that. He didn't specify but got well well done. His green beans were swimming in bacon and juice. This place was really weird. First of all, the directions on yelp and their website have an address that takes you to residential house a few miles away. The restaurant is aware of this yet no one seems to be concerned about it. I have no idea how long it's been incorrect but the staff stated they get "lots of calls every day from people about it". Um...wow - so, no one thought of fixing it like asap?? That's a quick call to your web developer to change the address. It's a bar on one side (karaoke night - SMH) and a "family" restaurant on the other side. The lighting they have is dated institutional lighting with fluorescent bulbs in the ceiling and then they had "Edison" bulbs in mason jars on the wall. Really horrible combo. Second issue I had with this place was that they seem to have no idea what farm-to-fork is. The waitperson described it as "nothing is ever frozen and they don't have a microwave and everything is cooked to order". So, maybe because we're from "the big city" (Chicago), we have a different idea of what farm-to-fork is but that's not it. Farm-to-fork or farm-to-table is using sustainably-grown produce and raised meat, poultry or fish from local sources. This could be food that the owner/chief or other staff has on-site at the restaurant or their own homes, nearby mom-and-pop farms or even using the local farmer's market but all food should be traceable. Some restaurants either get all their ingredients for their recipes like this or only have certain dishes on the menu that can boast local fare. Many times the menu will state where the ingredients originated or the waitstaff will tell you if there's a special where the food came from. Since this restaurant is called Farm To Fork, I assumed that *all* the food was local but since I didn't get a straight answer when I was there, I seriously don't know if anyone knows what's going on there. Third major issue is that after we finished eating, we waited almost 20 minutes for our check and actually had to go INTO THE KITCHEN to find someone. Then they had no idea what waitress had our table and went running around the restaurant looking for her. Meanwhile the young staff members (pretty much all of them) were walking around singing with the karaoke music in the bar without a care in the world. In general, I was really unhappy with the food (meat tasted like propane so I didn't finish my burger) and my white wine was warm. The place was packed when we got there so I guess it's good enough for locals that live in the area. It took us over an hour to get our food finally we ask for a manager he gave us a break on our bill and an appetizer on our next visit if we have a next visit. I had a Po Boy sandwich and fresh cut French fries! The shrimp were not fresh as stated and the fries where frozen just like the shrimp and deep fried!! Don't even get me started on the decor! You are in the middle of the south in Ringgold Georgia you should have some southern decor!!! This restaurant is a victim of its own success. It proudly displays its awards in the entrance. The food is of the highest quality. However, the kitchen management and service are quite appalling. I keep coming back because the food is great when you finally get your order delivered. Also you might want to bring your own fork because getting one seems to be a challenge every time I eat here. The restaurant is divided into two parts. There's a bar and then there's the standard seating. At least the servers on the standard seating side seem to care how poorly the restaurant service is but are apparently helpless to change it. Wowwwwww, we randomly made a pit stop at a gas station in Ringgold and somehow stumbled upon this gem. The kitchen is ON IT and the food was served in perfect time. Wings, fried green tomatoes, salad, kids steaks (the best steaks!! Juicy and flavorful), and a jaw-dropping pimiento cheese burger with fries and grilled squash. And the banana pudding... My sweetheart had the Caesar salad with salmon and it was very good. Just the right amount of dressing that was very tasty. I had the veggie plate with pinto beans, turnip greens, grilled squash, cabbage, and macaroni and cheese. All of the veggies were seasoned perfectly and quite fresh and delicious. A little disappointed in the macaroni and cheese, not cheesy enough for my taste, but still good. Cassie was very friendly and welcoming, and knowledgeable about the restaurant. The barbecue sauce is made in-house sweet and delicious not acidic at all. the french fries are homemade made in house and even though they are basic they are fresh. The coleslaw is creamy fresh and crunchy! The potato cake it is a treasure quite delicious and savory perfectly seasoned with a crunchy case do not pass that treasure up. Everything was awesome. First time eating here as we were on our way home. Pulled off at the exit and saw the advertisement on one of the panels that directs you to restaurants, gas stations and hotels. Name caught my attention, so my family decided to give it a try. First the food was some of the best I have had. I travel a lot and eat out constantly. This is one of the best. My wife's grilled chicken and vegetables were perfectly moist and flavorful. My fish tacos were great and my son ordered a pizza that was one of the best we ever had. I had him order a large thinking we could take half of it home and we ended up eating all but one piece due to how good it was. The pizza had Smoked Brisket on it that actually tasted like it was smoked for 15 hours in the backyard. Then there was the service. Our waitress ( I wish I remembered her name) was attentive, but not over bearing. I drink a lot, and my water glass never got below half full. Please be advised not to visit on hot days or sunny days. I was advised tonight that their air conditioning unit "was running as hard as it could" and I, as well as my party were still perspiring greatly. Tonight's dinner was rough!!! We waited a REALLY LONG time for a table for two and then waited REALLY LONG again for our food. Our waitress, Debbie, was really apologetic and helpful though. She comped us a salad while we waited- which was thoughtful- but the salad was just iceberg lettuce, old tomatoes and grated cheese, and the honey mustard dressing wasn't good, which is hard to mess up! She came by to tell us that we were going to be waiting a while longer for our food, so we ordered dessert to eat while we waited, since it was my daughter's birthday. She brought out cheese cake options and once we started eating then we realized that they tasted like the freezer, my 5 year old wouldn't even eat them! Then she took those back and went to go ask where our food was. So after an hour of waiting for our food, they brought out our entrees- and they forgot most of the toppings on my burger and had to go back to get them. The burger was dry and ok at best, luckily their French fries were decent, their child's steak was acceptable. Debbie was a great waitress and the atmosphere was cool- the decor was beautiful and the live band was awesome. SOMEONE should open a good restaurant next door and they could make a killing, because I the parking Lloyd was completely full- I think EVERYONE that lives in Ringgold and TunneL Hill were there tonight as it is the ONLY non-fast food restaurant in the area. read more

Lots of word of mouth recommendations led me to Yelp to do the due diligence before taking the short walk from the Holiday Inn Express. Shrimp po boy was excellent, battered and fried perfectly. I mean perfectly. Tender, just barely cooked enough. Nobody does this right (98% overlook shrimp). Batter was tasty and had good adhesion, not easy when the shrimp are that tender. Great sides, had turnip greens and creamed corn. The farm fresh taste really came out in the corn. Service was as good as the excellent food. Slight knock, po boy bread could have brought more flavor to the equation. More remoulade, garlic bread? I just ate the contents in their undiluted brilliance. An interesting idea, but nothing special. My husband & I decided to try the restaurant out since it always looked crowded, it must be good, right? We ordered burgers and they were under cooked- not Medium and Medium Well like we specified. We would have sent them back to be cooked a little more, but our server didn't return until she brought our check. The waitress across the way checked on her customers often. Maybe ours was new.
