I like this place overall but I have to say that their system for changing from lunch to dinner felt very disorganized. I just left feeling like they need to consider a more fair way to do things. There are two lines when you come in. I was in line at the restaurant for the people who are less than 5 people party because I was just eating by myself. I went in and in line at 250 pm on a Saturday. Now, the line was moving slow for our side but the greater than 5 people party who came in after me was seated first since the greater than 5 people party line had no one in it and I saw their bill marked as lunch. There was a tall man and his wife in front of me and they let him into the buffet at senior lunch prices at 302pm. Then the manager entered something in the computer and when I stepped up at 303pm, it was dinner prices. I tried to explain to him "Sir, I was in the door by 250pm. I saw people come in after me at the greater 5 line get in for lunch". He said he couldn't do anything about it but he literally changed something in the computer just as I stepped up. Now idk if I was just looking like the easier target to cut off for lunch because it was only myself and I'm a short girl and probably physicallyI don't look like I'd put up much of a fight to turn down but it just doesn't seem fair. A big womp womp in process if you ask me. I'm just noting on here that I wish management would create a division line in the lines OR give the last person a ticket that they're the last lunch price for people that entered the restaurant before 3 pm instead of picking Willy nilly on where the cut off was. It's not exactly fun to see people arrive after you with a big party and they get to eat at lunch prices and you can't. Now, I'm not one to write a scathing review but I just want to bring attention to the process in hopes that it will be correct for the future. Also wanted to note that the supervisor didn't do anything wrong. He had to do what he had to do but I just wanted to give feedback on a better lunch to dinner transition that's fair. Thank you. Overall, the food selection is pretty good. They have a salad bar, soups, ribs, hot wings, fried chicken, pot roast, collard greens, Mexican taco section, sausages, cheeseburgers for lunch, steak for dinner, pasta, popcorn shrimp, fish, veggies and a dessert bar with icee machine + ice cream machine. read more

We've come here for years and really don't understand some of the negative comments. We've had great servers and really good food 98% of the time which is a good number for any restaurant. We do not come at the busier times because we don't like to stand in line. We have had to stand in line a few times and as one person said had to pay dinner prices when we arrived in door at lunch prices time. She had a great idea of giving a card to last person in line coming in at lunch time to indicate they would be last for lunch price. Other than that I think it's a wonderful place. I've never seen insects anywhere in the place and it's always very clean. We were going several times a week for years but have slowed down to 1-2 times a week due to health issues so we have definitely visited enough that we would have seen any issues. they can be more attentive to their customers. First after paying we were told to wait to be seated. The guy that seated us did not speak or smile. He walked us over to the first empty table and pointed. Next we waited 15 minutes before stopping some random person who took our drink orders and didn't come back for another 15 minutes. Next plates. We weren't sure if they brought or if they were on the buffet. Would have been great if the server had instructed us but we didn't even know who she was . So I walked up and down the buffet area looking for plates. No plates. Next I asked the dessert person who said she didn't speak English. Next I asked a random guy who said he didn't know where they were. Out of breath, I sat back down. Then I asked another lady where the plates were and she pointed. Not quite sure where she was indicating, I got up to look and didn't see any plates. So I gave up. I asked for a refund. You would think the manager would want to speak with a customer asking for a refund but nope. Never saw him. This is my first and last time ever going to that Golden Corral. I'm only giving this place one star because I cannot give it zero. I was absolutely disgusted with the service, the waiters were cold and distant toward my children when they were ordering and the food was awful. There was a hair in my dear husband's nachos. My children were exposed to explicit and unpleasant music, it was repulsive. My poor eldest daughter Emily Mae witnessed a child put it's hand in the chocolate fountain and didn't even wash its hands before doing so! There were children running rampant with no parent in sight. My children were also witness to the sight of young people showing way too much PDA. This is a family establishment!! Another thing! Golden Corral Ft. O is very good! They offer an Early Bird special including a drink for about $8 from 2 to 4 pm. Their food is well maintained and the service is excellent! They serve a more complete menu than the other locations! This restaurant is clean both in the dining area and behind the buffet unlike the Gunbarrel location. The store on Gunbarrel doesn't offer the Early Bird anymore because according to their manager they are under new management and not affiliated with the Golden Corral franchise any longer! read more

Everything about this restaurant is five star! Food was delicious and service was superb. Desserts are 55 stars!! We would visit more often if they weren't so far away. There's the fried stuff, the ham, basic salads, and of course the fatty desserts. Food tastes the way it looks- shloppy and filled with grease. There's a decent chance that your silverware and plates have leftover residue from a previous user. To the management I anticipated dining there this evening. But since a large group of 30 plus people, who did not arrive together, block the checkout, and the the second wave of their party so rudely cut me off, all the while as a cashier just stood by and watched. Never at anytime did they acknowledge my presence, or make any attempt to wait on my. The party, also never apologized, although I was stared at by the group's organizer. Been to GC'S all over the country. This one is by far the worst one. Food is uniform across the brand but the fact that the buffet is small and I had to park 2 blocks away kind of thru me off. Always fresh, hot and cold foods where served on the food tables. The waitresses bring me plenty to drink and check on my table often. I have ate at this location for many years, only to see it decline in food quality and service, yet the prices keep increasing. First time at restaurant. The buffet selection was good with various selections that remind you of a home cooked meal. The dessert section was fancy with scrumptious treats along with cotton candy , ice cream and two chocolate fountains. The only Downfall were the greens which had no taste. read more

It is okay, just not great by any means. Good selection but not always a good taste. Best for me is the fried fish and the baked fish. Fried chicken is always good. Vegetables are sometimes good but not always. Salad bar section is always a safe bet and their fruit and soups are normally good to choose from. More desserts than anyone needs to choose from and most are very good. Good place for kids to get to eat but parents need to keep better control of them than most do. I have been to this Golden Corral several times since it was rebuilt and it is the cleanest GC I have been in. Since I am a vegetarian I appreciate the little signs telling what food has pork in it. Most of the food I have liked especially the mashed potatoes, fried green tomatoes, and salads. The broccoli and cauliflower are a bit under cooked usually especially for elderly to eat. Overall for buffet food it is the best in the area for variety and taste. The waitresses are very attentive and friendly. I will keep going there! read more
