Decided to try this place since they are new to the valley and close to home. The food was not good at all. The burger was like eating a hockey puck. I would have never done a review but the grossest part of the experience was sitting inside trying to enjoy the not so good food and looking at the back corner table full of all the employees crap. Very overpriced for average burger, got my drive thru order completely wrong I ordered fiery chicken sandwich got a regular chicken sandwich, ordered a double big cheese and got another chicken sandwich. Don't waste your money. We tried this place when they first opened service and food horrible. We thought we would try it again a few months later since they had just opened and maybe needed time to work things out. Nope. We placed a to go order and once again they got it wrong. Today was the second and last time I will be stopping at Farmer Boys for any food. Very disappointed. The drive up line was long and moving very slow. One person taking orders. (Oh my it is going to be a hot summer for the order taker, where is the drive thru to place order???). Got to window finally to pay for food which was not ready and I had to wait ; then the drive window cash register was not working so person had to access another register inside store and seemed to be having making change. Tasteless Onion rings are a BIG ripoff , a dollar a ring, fries not cooked all the way and Berger's were cold and did not taste fresh. I really do not think this place will last unless there is more training and a manager on duty.. this might help will not return to find out. read more

Farmer Boys was a regular place my son and I would go to in Southern California (we both now live in Arizona) so a week ago he and my daughter-in-law told me not to eat because they were picking up dinner. When they came home I was excited to hear that Farmer Boys is now here! It's as delicious as I remembered (I had a hamburger with onion rings and I am very picky about onion rings). The only thing we ran into was my son's order was incorrect, but we had hamburger buns at home and fixed it. It had only opened up 3 days before. We already went back last night and I chose fries this time (still crispy and delicious as I remembered). I do need to try breakfast because a friend did recommend it! read more

This is a pretty new place. We stopped by for lunch. The avocado bacon cheeseburger was tasty. But it was a big sliding, sloppy mess and hard to control. The zucchini was kind of a disappointment because it was 8" long. It was cut longwise in quarters and then breaded. It tasted ok, but was weird being so long. The french fries were great and better than the usual burger place. Lunch came quickly and was exactly how we ordered it. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the floor seemed dirty with spills and fries here & there. I didn't want to try the restroom. My wife would have given one star on the "dirty factor". The food and staff count for something, so 3 stars today is fair. Maybe we'll go back for breakfast, and probably do the drive-thru. read more

I have been here 3 times in the last 6 weeks in hopes that something will change. Food is OK However, the worst part is you need to take vacation time if using the drive thru. How is your order not ready 20 minutes after it has been placed? It takes a minimum of 5 minutes for each car to get thru once at the window. The food was marginal at best. We ordered a burger, pastrami sandwich, onion rings, and fried zucchini. The breading on the zucchini and onion rings was unseasoned and dry. Freddy Steak burger is better burgers. I would not go back as there are so many other places to get better food. read more

The food is super yummy! Beware ordering the fried zucchini though, especially if there's a long wait in the drive through. They put it in a paper sack and they come super hot and mushy. It actually burned my leg and melted the plastic lid on our fish platter. They refunded us for the zucchini but acted like they couldn't care less. Burgers really are delicious though. read more

Food was great, as always. This was our 3rd visit in less than 2 weeks. First 2 times were amazing from start to finish. However, this time was not great. My wife and I received a coupon for a free cheese burger when we came here last, so we decided to use it tonight. We wait in the long drive through line and finally get to the girl taking orders, "can I get a cheese burger, please, and a few other things, etc, etc...". Great, we're off to a good start and I'm excited for our burgers. The girl enters my coupon, acknowledges that it doesn't take any money off the total, and instructs me to tell the people at the pick-up window and they'll fix it. Ok, no big deal. When I get to the window, the cashier doesn't know why it doesn't work so she gets a manager. This manager, to say the least, is not what I expected from this awesome new restaurant here in AZ. She is rude, condescending, and doesn't even familiarize herself with the situation before assuming the customer is at fault and treating them poorly. Apparently this burger place has a natural cheese burger and a cheese burger. They are not the same. My coupon was for a free cheeseburger, which is what I asked for. The girl taking orders entered my order as a natural cheese burger... This manager was grilling me as if I was some kind of terrorist because I asked for a cheese burger and the girl that took my order didn't think to ask me which kind of cheese burger I wanted, made an assumption and entered an incorrect order. This is a new chain in AZ and you have new employees taking orders for drive-thru customers far away from the menu. I had no idea there were multiple cheese burgers and therefor had no idea I had to specify "not a natural cheese burger, just a normal one". For the manager to treat me like I'm a fraudster trying to get a free upgrade to a "natural" burger, when it's their own system/customer service/training that is broken, is wrong. I saw this place giving a lot of these coupons out the first week the restaurant was open. I hope the other customers don't run into the same problem as me with this "natural" "not-natural" nonsense. They might not be return customers for long. This is turning out to be more of a McDonald's style customer service, not a Chick-fil-A or In-N-Out style of top tier service like I expected. read more

On March 16th I visited the new restaurant in Gilbert.. we got out food and proceeded to eat.. half way through I bit into my omelet and bit into what I thought was plastic.. I took it out of my mouth to find out it was a half of a sunflower seed shell! I was gagging so much trying not to throw up.. my husband called the manager over and told him what happened.. he could barely speak English he picked it up looked at it told me he is sorry and would take personally take my order next time! I was livid! I told him he needs to talk to his staff and not let them eat while cooking.. he said okay I be back.. then brought me a $5 off coupon.. I demanded my money back which he then did. With Corona virus going around and not only that but hepatitis and other diseases I'm and shocked that the manager didn't take it more seriously! If I could I would give it no stars that how horrible it was. Not to mention we live right behind Farmer Boys and we will not be back at all. To start off we ordered $40 worth of food and when our 5 year old daughter got her chicken tender kids meal. She started eating and there wasn't something right about it. She showed us and it was completely raw and she had some in her mouth. We told her to spit it out right away. I hope she doesn't get salmonella Poisoning from the raw chicken they served our daughter. My wife took it up to them right away. The General manager did not offer to give our money back at all. So at the end of the meal I mentioned something to the another manager and he said he would take care of it. So we went up there and they refunded $6.00 not the Gatorade that we thought that was included in the meal, no it was separate charge. She (General manager) said no to the refund on the drink, that was ridiculous. Horrible customer service they should have done way more than refund $6.00. They didn't even say they were sorry. I mean the chicken was completely raw. They don't even know how to use a fryer. I wouldn't be surprised if the health department showed up for a surprise inspection. Never going back ever again. They have only been open for a week. I bet this place will not be in business for much longer if they keep serving raw chicken. read more
