The one star is for the one onion ring I ate and kinda liked... The absence of the other four stars represents all the disappointment that occurred as soon as the plates were placed in front of myself and the hubby. First thought was to just leave it on the table, take the loss of money, walk out the door and run! We were starving so we gave it our best shot... We made the wrong decision. Photos are fake. This is a nice breakfast and late night spot in the High Desert. I guess there are about 70 of these in California and Nevada, and this was my first breakfast. Starting with the positives: Service was great. You order at the counter from their 75+ items, pay and they give you a number. When the meal is ready, they bring it out and they continually check back on your beverages. Ambiance is rustic chain-like, not bad. The food was a little disappointing for breakfast...maybe 2 star. For about $10/person I expected better eggs/bacon which are difficult to screw up. The coffee was ok, but not great. This place is 24/7 and has free wi fi, but it's nowhere near a Waffle House in quality. read more

My family and I were driving home from Las Vegas and were tired and hungry. We were going to stop at the outlets exit where there is tons of fast food, but the exit was crazy busy, so we decided to keep driving. My husband saw Farmer Boys from the freeway...and it was on. 3 mistakes in 1 order... Ordered a cheeseburger combo with half fries/half onion rings and a small root beer. Mistake #1: The girl gave me my food and told me she still needed to give me my drink. She asks, "So you ordered a small Dr. Pepper, right?" And I said, "No, I ordered Root Beer." She says okay and turns around, but then turns back around to me and asks, "Wait, you ordered a small Dr. Pepper?" And I said "....no. I ordered a Root Beer." She fills the cup and gives it to me. As I'm leaving, I take a sip, and it was DR. PEPPER!! Godammit, I HATE Dr. Pepper! Mistake #2: My half fries/half onion rings was just all fries. Mistake #3: I opened my burger once I'm back in the office and it was a bacon cheeseburger. For religious reasons, I don't eat pork. Thanks a lot, incompetent employees at Farmer Boys. I spent $11.22 on a burger I couldn't eat, a soda I've always hated, and a bag of fries. So, really, I purchased a $11.22 bag of fries. The most expensive bag of fries I've ever purchased. So either you got every item in my order wrong, or you gave me someone else's order. In that case, you probably had two very disgruntled customers today. I'm surprised I didn't open the wrapping to my burger and find a salad inside instead. This experience definitely turned me off from buying overpriced fast food from Farmer Boys ever again. Service: The service overall was horrible. We ordered a kids meal cheeseburger, 2 big cheese combo, a bell ringer with no cheese combo, a order of zucchini fries and a south western salad with a medium soft drink. The cashier repeated our order and she said the kids meal cheese burger but when we sat at our table and received our food, we didn't get the kids meal. We then checked the receipt and she didn't put down kids meal. We also didn't receive 2 of our fries, so we asked for them and they went to check the register to check that we weren't lying about it. We finally received 2 fries that were old and cold; they were even all stuck together. Food: All buns for the burgers were soggy as if they had them waiting there for a while. Like I said before the fries were cold and not fresh. The zucchini fries also had no flavor what so ever. My burger patty was dry as well. The only good thing about the food was the ranch. P.S. My wife had a burger and I had a salad. Each was excellent. The burger was prepared properly, not over done. My salad was fresh with varied ingredients. I forgot to order the dressing on the side. I was pleasantly surprised when the salad was not swimming in dressing, just an appropriate amount. We've honestly had great service dining in at this location but TONIGHT was absolutely ridiculous service and "Johnny" the manager on duty was horrible along with the rest of drive through service! We literally ordered 2 Oreo shakes and there was a modification to an order the car ahead of us & instead of pulling around to the front to collect the rest of the order the manager made us wait for over 15 minutes while the lady waiting for her order proceeded to cuss at me because she was delaying the rest of the cars in drive-thru!!! My breakfast burrito was delicious! It was loaded with hashbrowns and juicy, just the way I like it. ...... but boy did it take FOREVER to get my food. I understand it's not made until you order it and that's reasonable, it's why I choose Farmer Boys. I went thru the drive thru with 3 cars ahead of me, that's not a problem. I pulled immediately up to the window and was asked to wait to place my order, that's not a problem. About 5 minutes later I'm finally having my order taken, that's a problem. 10 minutes later I'm finally pulling up to the window.... and the cars in front of me had small orders. The first time we went to this Farmer Boys, it was so hot we turned around and left. That was the summer of 2018. We went today in 100 degree plus weather and the same thing. Too warm to sit and eat comfortably. I asked the girl at the register why it's always so warm in there and she said the only way the manager would turn it cooler is if a customer complains which from the sound of it had happened before. I told her I am a customer and would he please turn it cooler. He wouldn't come out of his office and never did turn it down. Worst customer service I've ever experience the lady working was beyond rude and ignored everyone who came in. We all stood there for 5 minutes before we were acknowledged which is saying something because it is dead here right now. (Came in 12/29 @ around 9:15). Bought 7 sausage breakfast burritos for a group at a cost of $40.35. I was willing to pay that much for the burritos because I knew how big they were and what to expect as I use to buy them on a regular basis when I worked closer to the restaurant. Wow, was I disappointed today. Not only were the burritos WAY smaller but they were pretty much egg and hash brown potatoes with very little sausage. Definitely NOT worth $7.49 each!!! My friends and family were not impressed after I raved and insisted we go there for the burritos. Not sure why they changed things, but I won't be going back there. :( read more
