Used to eat here FAITHFULLY before work. One morning, I ordered a breakfast burrito and got half way through it before I came across a long, black hair stringing from the chewed up food in my mouth. When I called up there, I demanded my money back and my burrito to be re-made. I could tell the employee wanted to be accommodating but he had to run it by his boss. Upon the boss hopping on the phone, he turned the argument from serving me unsanitary food to how I am a frequent customer so I should know their food is good. It is good---I can't take that away from them. It's just not sanitary. Sadly, I have decided to X this Farmers Boys location off my list and have not been back. We spent, at minimum, $60 a week up there---bad habit, yes, but my wife and I commute from over an hour away for work. They won't be getting anymore of our money.

Does this look likes its worth $15???

So, my first visit to Farmer Boys was an absolute disaster, and you can bet it will be my last. The only reason we went was because the commercials make the food look incredible. Well, don't believe the hype. The reality is a far cry from the shiny, pretty image they show on TV. My wife and I ordered two combos: a single bacon burger and a double bacon burger, plain with just meat, cheese, and bacon. The total came to over $30. At that price, I was expecting a top-notch burger. Thankfully, I checked the order before leaving the parking lot. What I found was a pathetic, dried-out single patty with two anorexic pieces of bacon and partially melted cheese. I was pissed but glad I caught it in time to go back in and get it fixed. The guy behind the counter insists on inspecting the burger, as if I would lie about something this obvious. Then, he wants to see my receipt, even though he handed me the food less than five minutes ago. I show him the receipt, which clearly lists two combos, one for $12.99 and one for $14.99. He has the nerve to say I ordered the single patty combo. I ask him how he figures that when the receipt clearly shows two different combos with two different prices. He doubles down and says it must have been my mistake. Seriously?! I point out the combo names on the receipt and on the menu, quoting the prices to him. Reluctantly, he offers to get me a new order, which takes another ten minutes, making my wife's food cold in the car. I finally get the new order and guess what? It's STILL WRONG. At that point, I just leave. Clearly, they can't get anything right. So, they screw up the order, blame me for their mistake, make me argue with the staff to get it right, and still fail. Not to mention, the burger was one of the worst I've ever eaten. I've had better cheeseburgers sitting in the warmers at AMPM. The fries were a pathetically small serving of stale, heat lamp-flavored sticks. I hate being a "Karen," but when both the service and the food are equally horrible, I have to speak up. Avoid Farmer Boys if you value your time, money, and taste buds.

Service seems to be going down hill, and the staff gives off an " I don't care attitude" Went in for a breakfast burrito and the cashier led me into thinking it came with a side of hash browns. Perhaps a miscommunication. Be that as it may but considering the quality and quantity of the food and the " I don't care attitude" from the staff, this puny burrito was not worth the sixteen dollars and some change they hijack you for. You can find better elsewhere. I confronted the staff on the misunderstanding and her response was "tough", "that's what you get and with wages going up to 20/ hr for fast food workers, it's likely to get worse"

    Egg shells pancake platter

Every time I order breakfast I get shells in my eggs! I know the extra protein is good for you, but I don't want shells in my eggs?! Please be more considerate about taking out the shells; I do appreciate the fact that it's real eggs and not eggs in a gallon but please be more considerate.

Came in here Saturday afternoon for lunch. Was fairly empty, only 1 other table was occupied. When we entered the cashier asked if we were ready, and we told her we needed a minute to order. Once we were ready the cashier came back up to take our order. We were a party of 6 so we each went around to tell the cashier what we wanted to order. My mother in law ordered a chicken tender, fry, and toast combo and asked if she could substitute the fries for onion rings and she was told no. So she asked if she could order a side of onion rings additionally. (Still don't understand why she couldn't just substitute the fries.) She also asked to try a small taste of the strawberry lemonade prior to purchasing just to make sure she liked it. The cashier also said no. So she just didn't order it. How can you not sample a small sip of the drink before buying? She didn't ask for a full cup, just a taste. Even though we had just spent almost $100 on food here. We sat down, and waited for our food. The girl who brought the food seemed very bothered. As if us being there was a complete bother for her. I understand she may have had a long day but that's no reason to make people feel like a bother. We waited for our food and come to find out the cashier who took our order didn't even add on the additional onion rings that we had ordered since she told us we couldn't substitute. When we asked about it she said "no you only ordered 2" which wasn't true. We were fine paying for it but she didn't even offer to make them for us, since it WAS HER MISTAKE. The girls were in such a hurry to get us out of their way so they could stand behind the counter and do NOTHING. Standing around, gossiping, laughing, not working. The cooks in the back did a great job with the food. However the service was below average. Won't be back to this location, but will check out another.

I have been a customer of Farmers Boys since they opened in Lancaster Ca. The experience has been great up until recently. Today was the icing on the cake for me. I ordered a 4pc zucchini, Bacon Boy box, ez sauce combo with fries. The burger was dry and tough, the ez sauce was dripping all over the place. The bread has toasted, but very firm (not as soft as normal). I spoke to the manager Pedro regarding my order; which I had taken a few bites but could not continue. The fries were crispy but cold. The zucchini was the best (except for the price; $7.00 4 sticks). The manager said he was having issues with the burger patties being tough and not of the usual quality. My question is why serve them! He offered to cook me another burger, but with the same patties! No thank you!! C'mon farmer boys you gotta do better.

I had to finish it because I was raised not to waste food .

If I can do this place one star, I would. Overpriced and very disgusting. My Babe ordered French toast and eggs over easy with bacon so horrible. The presentation of how his food looked was all bad

fish was not the usual good fish it was the worst i have ever gotten at farmer boys i was very diapointed it is usually very good

Farmers Boys is going to shit. Just look at the picture below - where's the chicken. They literally added a chicken strip. I ordered a sourdough chicken avocado Man...it's hard to find a good place to eat - you think you're doing the right choice by coming to this franchise and then boom - you get screwed

I didn't like the ham, but everything else was delicious. Their cinnamon French toast is made in like a cinnamon roll which was really good! The banana French toast was also a hit! The food quality was very high, I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, they were very authentic with a tomato sauce and sauteed onions and peppers, not spicy but I did ask for their home salsa and it brought up the spice level, the dish is served with homemade rice and beans, all well cooked. I also ordered a side of pancakes and bacon for my dad and they were perfectly cooked. The cost of the meal was very reasonable and worth the visit. The burger had lettuce, tomato, union, cheese, that oddly was not melted, a nice sauce, pickles and decent looking meat patty, unfortunately the last few bites of the meat patty had a funky taste, like it was a little old, hence the 3 star rating, the burger is also served with a decent amount of fries. The Reuben looked and tasted amazing, also served with a large portion of fries, one of the nice touches on this sandwich was the grilled Pastrami, this was a nice touch, its also served with sauerkraut & Swiss cheese on Rye. There was plenty of parking in this lot. The entrance is located through their patio, which can be a bit counter intuitive. We came at opening and the restaurant got really busy during our time there. Initially we were looking at the sandwiches because it was lunch time, but then we were going to a wedding that night so we decided to eat something more filling since the ceremony and speeches always delay the eating. All entrees here are served with black beans and rice or congri, and 3 fried plantains. My boyfriend had the Ropa Vieja ($28) with the congri and I had the Lechon Asado ($25) with the rice and beans. Our food came out pretty fast after we ordered. My boyfriend's Ropa Vieja is a Cuban braised beef. The congri is basically a mix of the rice and beans. This dish was super tasty and the shredded beef was so tender with the bell peppers and onions. I can really taste the red wine and tomato sauce in the base. I took a few bites but in general I preferred my dish more, and vis versa he enjoyed his dish more. My lechon asado is a roasted pork that is super super tenderrrrrr. It was so sweet with the grilled onions and it had the perfect amount of fattiness without being over bearing. SO GOOD! Love the plaintains too. I'm glad I got the rice and beans option because I would have gotten too full too quick with the congri. I barely touched my beans and only got through half of my rice. Both dishes came with this super tasty garlic butter sauce that I poured on my rice and made it even tastier. It was so good. One thing I didn't enjoy about the experience was the flies attacking us and our food. Since the door is open and connected to their outdoor space, it leaves the opportunities for flies to come in. We had to play defense with the flies the whole time. The service here is a little slow. Especially when I was trying to get back on the road I wasn't feeling too patient. I waived down multiple staff members too. Also I got hit with an undisclosed 3% surcharge for using my credit card. I only found out after I got the receipt. I would have paid in cash if I knew. *dislike* LOVE LOVE LOVE the food. Might be the best Cuban food I've ever had... and I've been to Florida where there was a lot of Cuban spots. Room for improvement with service, flies prevention, and the disclosure of the credit card fee.

Since I have allergies to ingredients used to preserve frozen food, it's always been so hard finding a restaurant with a menu that doesn't cause me issues--and Baracoa has never compromised with their ingredients! The organic quality of their food is something you'll taste on your first bite. And finally--the service is impeccable and I have yet to see such excellent hospitality at any restaurant I've visited, even in Los Angeles! The waiters are always kind, attentive, and energetic with their behavior and service. It's very easy to tell they love the work they do and it shows in their work ethic. In addition to that, the managers are always making sure we're having an excellent night and have transformed it to a level of service we've never seen! My parents and I went a week ago and talked to Daniel the Manager about how much we missed a Piña Colada from a closed restaurant which would make it in the pineapple itself--and he said if we promised to be there in a week he's make it himself. We came on Friday, and the joy that my family felt was palpable when Daniel came out with the drinks we've wished for years now since that restaurant closed! Honestly, I've never heard of someone caring for their guests so much to do that--truly everyone should visit this establishment and experience true fine dining. I don't think I'll ever eat anywhere else for a special occasion ever again.
