I don't care what anybody else says, but the habit just isn't what it used to be. The quality of the food here is worse than a McDonald's. The burger patties are rubbery and chewy and are seemingly frozen. It almost seems like they have binders and fillers in the meat because it just does not taste like ground beef. They basically are on par with the frozen beef patties you can buy at the supermarket. They call it a char burger, but what char? They are literally flavorless patties. The guacamole that they put on the Santa Barbara char burger tastes terrible and is not fresh at all. I'm tired of coming here and always being let down... the glory days of the habit when it was limited to only a few locations in Ventura and Santa Barbara is long gone. The curbside pickup service is completely ineffective -- employees were not paying attention to customers waiting outside, and we had to wait an extremely long time before finally giving up and going inside ourselves to pick up the food which was sitting on the counter... The staff was also rude and unhelpful, which made the experience even worse. On top of that, the food quality was disappointing. The burger was undercooked and definitely not up to standard. On top of that, walking into the kitchen, touching supplies with the same gloves, then going back to food prep is unacceptable. I made a delivery order from here last night. I specifically requested certain condiments with my order. As a matter of fact, I couldn't complete my order from the website unless I started what condiments I wanted. When DoorDash delivered my order, guess what? NO CONDIMENTS! What a disappointment, especially after they make such a big deal of it as a part of your order. And because the driver leaves so quickly once he hands you the order, you're stuck. Great service very informative and friendly. A steady flow of customers kept these workers on their toes. When we walked in the first thing I noticed was the tables were dirty and there were only about 4 tables being used. Food was not worth the price. I ordered the charbroiled combo with cheese, fries and med drink $13.69. Fries were plenty and good but burger was overcooked. Hubby ordered the French onion char combo, but not sure it was a combo...which they didn't tell him, so he was charged for each individual item totaling $15.37 which included the burger, which had no sauce, was overcooked and old looking lettuce, an order of (7) onion rings for $4.29, and a medium soda for $3.09. Definitely not worth the price, but you live and learn. BTW when I asked if we could get a table wiped down and the staff member who was asked to do a "dining room check" appeared to be annoyed and just lightly brushed the rag around on the table and swiped any crumbs onto the seats...maybe she wasn't told that would be part of her job when she was hired. read more

Ordered through the app for curbside. Curbside worker was pleasant she gave me my food in a timely manner. I checked my bag and realized I forgot to order ranch, no worries I decided to go inside and get a side of ranch. There was a man in a black shirt who i assume was the manager and another team member off to the side working. I got the attention of the presumable manager and asked for ranch. We walked in and immediately Jasmine yelling from the back of the restaurant near the soda fountain tells us that they only will be taking our order if we are paying cash.
