I'm a big fan of old school Americana and The White House is just that, a classic burger joint that serves ice cream and a ton of sandwich and hot dog options. They used to have hot rod cruise days but I'm not sure if they still do it. It's a great photo location if you have a muscle car. The burger took me back, it was so familiar. It's simple and good with thin patties. I also tried the bbq fries on a recommendation from the girl taking my order. They are seasoned with a special salt mixture and have great flavor. My favorite part of the whole thing is they have Hot Fudge milkshakes a rare find. It was sooo good! All in all it's a great experience. The place was packed when I went. A lot of people were regulars and the staff knew them by name. They close at 4:00pm and are not open on the weekends so be mindful when you go. read more

A roadside burger stand. It was the entire beginning of the McDonald's empire. And just like McDonald's, this place starts with their shakes! The theming in kitsch. But the food Is banging. I ordered a cherry malt which is not something you can find everywhere and boy did they deliver. Lots of flavor. It just pops. I got the Philly with nacho cheese sauce instead of Swiss. This place kind of disappointed me. From a distance it looked like a nice, good clean place and it was. Customer service was also good. The disappointment came when I spent about $8 for fries and a drink and I got this teeny tiny fist of fries with this really bad seasoning on it that I didn't like at all and it made the back of my throat itch and burn. This place was really good at first I thought it might be just ok but turned out my family and I love the place . I will say my real only complaint is they have limited hours I think it should be open longer and 7 days a week , oh and they are a little slow but we'll worth the wait . But right too the point ordered a number 3 which was a double with cheese, fries and a soda 7.10 which is cheaper then in n out by like about two dollars. Don't judge a book by its cover, and don't judge this restaurant by its appearance. Yes, it does seem to be in a not so nice area... When I arrived I was by myself and unsure to even get out. I learned fast I shouldn't have judged. First off, the service was EXCELLENT! I was impressed instantly. Their menu is HUGE, its easy to get confused. The guy taking my order can tell I had never been there before and helped me to order. He was very nice and helpful. Of course, in the good ole AV its mighty windy and I was wearing a dressing. SO, with one hand I was holding my dress down and when my order was up, the guy saw that I would only be able to use one hand so he went and got me a box and but everything in it so I could carry it easy! Super nice. Now for the real question, hows the food!? Lets just say, AWESOME! Someone I knew got the George Bush Burger, it was soo yummy. It had bbq sauce, two patties, and onion rings. Lets just say it was a legit burger. As for me, I had chili cheese frys, oh how yummy. They reminded me of my childhood and going to the park to watch my cousins baseball games, and eating chili cheese frys from the snack bar. I have been coming here since my high school years (1996-2000) and I have always been satisfied. I love and have always ordered the Whitehouse and BBQ fries. I have introduced many of my coworkers to this spot and they all love it. My kids love this place and the prices are outstanding for the price. My only gripe with this place previously was that it was cash only but they have since started to accept debit/ credit cards so this is a perfect 5 stars for me. This is my favorite Burger Joint! Great food! ALWAYS fresh and hot. The people are cool and always nice. It's in an older area of town, but don't let that discourage you. In addition to drive in menu items, they also have several Dairy Queen items including soft serve ice cream and dipped cones. French Fry review: You get a very small portion of fries for a very small price, $1.25. The fries have no skin or seasoning and appear to have been frozen but were somewhat more uneven in size than most frozen fries. The fries were quite similar to McDonald's fries but seemed most like I remembered french fries from a hamburger place from my childhood. they were slightly crispier and definitely greasier but the overall flavor was just a bit better than McDonald's. read more
