    Fried chicken
    Brian L.

Farmerbrown is located at SFO across from Gate C5. You order at the back and then they bring your food and drinks to your table. The food comes out quickly, and so it's great option if you're hungry for a real meal but don't have too much time before your flight. The fried chicken comes with 2 pieces of boneless thigh, fries, and 2 dipping sauces of your choice. It was fried perfectly crisp and sizzling hot--super delish! The totchos were also really good, basically nachos with tater tots instead of tortilla chips. The totchos are definitely enough to eat as a meal by itself. The meal really hit the spot and ended up being the perfect meal with a couple glasses of draft beer. Farmerbrown is a great option to grab a few drinks and a quick and delicious meal, especially if your gate is nearby!

The food was delicious!!! Oatmeal that hot the spot south fried cherries and brown sugar. A shrimp BLT- triple decker on sour dough, soul music playing loud enough to enjoy but not blaring. Located next to gate C6. The wait staff is polite, acknowledge you presence immediately and service is pretty fast!! It's the airport so it's price, but tasty Only draw back- they don't have all the fixings- tea no honey, no brown sugar or lemon at the condiment bar and no honey at all.

Was nice and quiet on a Wednesday morning at 7:30 am. Ordered at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Food arrived quick and hot. I will say it's a lot of food and I think my husband and I could have shared my eggs and bacon breakfast and been fine. If we come through this way again we will definitely do that in the future. But a solid breakfast for eating at the airport. SFO doing it right, this is a bit of a walk from other gates C in Harvey Milk-Terminal 1 but worth it.

I found myself at SFO with a delay on my flight home so I thought I'd find somewhere I could sit down with my laptop to work and get a decent meal in me since it would likely be a long day of travel ahead. In the area of the airport I was in there wasn't a ton to choose from, but I saw a chicken sandwich on the menu here and figured that sounded pretty solid so I made my way over. When you enter Farmerbrown you will find a little line where you order and then seat yourself. They will bring the food out to you. I ordered my chicken sandwich and fries which was exorbitantly expensive, but I expected that since it is the airport and for whatever reason all airports everywhere decide to super inflate their pricing. All of that aside, I found a table, got myself some water, logged into work, and waited for my sandwich. Now the reason why I'm giving two stars is because this sandwich was such a let down. First of all it was expensive, second of all it looked great when I got it, but it lacked really any flavor, and for a sit down place at an airport I was really hoping for something better than what I'd get at say, Popeyes or Chick Fil A. This was not even as good as what I would have gotten at a fast food spot. Overall I'd recommend you save your money, and seek out a to-go deli sandwich, or go to some fast food joint nearby, unless you are looking for a place to have a drink or really need a table.

While waiting at the airport I tried this place .The service was underwhelming and not overly friendly, but the food was very good. I had the fried shrimp and fries basket and I immensely enjoyed both. The included hot sauce and cocktail sauce dipping options added to the delicious flavor. I liked the fries too; the cook did a masterful job with the menu. I washed it all down with an orange beer on tap and it would have made Blue Moon quite proud. If I'm back in SFO this is a place worth revisiting.

Guava Mimosa, Cobb Salad with Fried Chicken

Nice place for when you get to the airport a little too early and want to sit down somewhere to eat and pass the time. I came on a Wednesday afternoon at around 11:15 am, and my flight wasn't until 1:45 pm. Normally, I'd just grab a coffee and small snack but I figured I had the time so I popped in. The line was decently long and the restaurant itself seemed bustling but there was still a good amount of ample seating available. I ordered a Cobb Salad ($17.95) with Fried Chicken ($6.00) and a Guava Mimosa ($12.50). The fried chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and lightly sweet and peppery. I was surprised by how ripe the avocado was too. They also gave a lot of bacon bits, egg, and blue cheese bits. I felt like there could've given a bit more ranch though. The guava mimosa is nothing exceptional, not to say it wasn't delightful, but just your typical mimosa. Not cheap, but the service was really quick and everything was pretty tasty and filling for airport food.

    Super greens salad with chicken.

Was disappointed with the salads here. The chicken was plentiful but the actual greens part lacked the other ingredients like edamame, sunflower seeds and cranberries. How is this 17$ plus $6 or $8 for chicken or shrimp. So pricey for what you get! They should add more carrots and toppings. Deeply disappointed. Would not recommend. Staff are so friendly. Just disappointed that the food isn't that great.

Since I had some time before my flight, I decided to grab a quick dinner at Farmerbrown. You order at the counter, and are given a number to take to a table. Jambalaya (4/5) - hearty jambalaya with lots of sausage and chicken Super greens salad with grilled chicken (3/5) - typical greens salad with a huge grilled chicken breast French fries (5/5) - perfect thicker French fries

I haven't had this type of food at the airport, it actually caught me off guard and I have to admit that it's actually pretty good. We stopped at this place on our way to the gate a 8 in the morning. I had their famous burger while my wife and kids had the breakfast plate and the Nutella waffles. It was a bit confusing at first but you have to find a seat first and scan the barcode for the menu. Once you know what you want, you will need to walk to the front next to the bar to put in an order. We were amazed by how fast we got our food, took less than 5 minutes. Don't ask me how they did it but as long as it tasted good, I wasn't complaining..lol their service was good considering it's a semi self service restaurant. The restaurant is very clean and ambiance is great.

    Chicken sandwich with tots

We got a fried chicken sandwich and fried chicken plate. With the chicken sandwich it was dry, which was surprising with the amount of coleslaw in the sandwich itself. The coleslaw was dry, just veggies. They give a hearty portion of tater tots. No sauce. The chicken plate they provided two sauces, I red spicy one, and a jalapeño sauce with plenty of flavor and kick.

Decent menu. Friendly service. Smaller portions but well seasoned and better than a lot of the other sports bar type airport offerings.

All the tables were dirty and no one cared to clean them off. We had to move the dirty plates and wipe the table ourselves.

Must bus the table before seating. I guess the utility called out today. Wishing there were other places to dine in the terminal. C gates.

    Casey M.

The skin was super crispy, like, it made this awesome crunching sound when you bite into it. And the meat inside was so tender and juicy--it was just amazing. But the fries were just okay, nothing special, but not bad either.

My husband and I's favorite place to eat in the world is New Orleans so this place definitely did not disappoint. We started with coffee drinks, I had some sort of boozy espresso drink which I could have done without since the bitters tasted like licorice which is probably a taste preference. My husband had the grandma coffee which was also fine. Then the food came out and it went up from here! The catfish & grits just might be the best I've ever had. My husband also really enjoyed his banana foster French toast, & i loved that they allowed you to get one piece of fried chicken because i had to try it out despite a full meal. The wing I had was Nice & crunchy with a delicious sweet sauce on the side that reminded me of mambo sauce ( a DC staple.) My husband also had the gumbo which was good but I wouldn't say our favorite. I prefer my gumbo with a little more spice but that could just be personal preference. We ended the meal with beignets: I had the ube beignet which was so unique & flavorful! I don't think I would have had a chance to try that type of beignet anywhere else so glad to try something different, it was delicious. The crawfish beignet was also so flavorful! The beignets in general were much more bready than typical beignets but still very good & unique to this place. On top of that, the service was great & the food came out quick, hot & fresh! I wish we had more time (& stomach space) to try other items on the menu, everywhere we looked everything looked delicious so we'll just have to try more the next time we're back in SF!

The place is a little cramped, but we were able to wait inside until the whole party was there to be seated. It was a good place for a group dinner. The cocktails are cheap for San Francisco, and the beer selection is decent. And the food is dense and delicious without being too heavy. I shared the catfish with crawfish etouffee (special), the gumbo, and a dungeness crab beignet with my boyfriend. We also ordered some banana cream pie for the table, which was a huge hit.

She had heard about this place from a client that she had worked with a couple weeks ago. The place had a really cool vibe to it; it's like you're stepping into a more intimate, Cracker Barrel. We were seated by the front of house pretty quickly. The space could hold quite a few people, there is a bar area and outside seating. We sat in the back by the kitchen. When we got there, we ordered a couple drinks and a lot of food. I had the okey-dokey artichokey and my partner had the respect your elders drink; both were strong and tasty. It went well with our appetizers of fried okra and fried calamari. I really enjoyed the jalapeño aïoli that came with the okra so much that I started dipping the calamari in it. The calamari coating on the outside was a lot heavier than what I was used to, but it was still really tasty. For our main entrées, I got the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and collard greens and my partner got the porch burger with fries. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly. It wasn't dry. It was juicy and I really liked putting their homemade hot sauce on the chicken and greens. The habanero hot sauce was really spicy, but I liked how sweet it was. My partner's burger was cooked perfectly and it was a big portion. I definitely recommend this place to someone who is bold enough to go on a date and still eat with their hands. Somehow, this was elevated southern food, which could be shown by the prices, but I think it's worth it once in a while.

I ordered the Lion's Mane Mushroom. *A lovely note for the vegans and lactose-intolerant: there is a dairy-free option for the Thai iced tea (made with coconut milk). Given that this was a Michelin guide restaurant, we had certain expectations of the place and sadly we were disappointed. While the service was friendly and the server knowledgeable on the menu, the service itself was severely lacking in detail you'd expect from a $$$$ type of place. Our drinks came out first, followed by the appetizer, then came EVERYTHING ELSE all at once. Papaya Salad Daikon Soup Trio of rice (purple, brown, white) Curry + protein (duck for my friend, lion's mane mushroom for me) We tried to tackle the soup first. It came in an artsy looking bowl with undulated/rouged edges that was awkward to drink from but equally awkward to spoon the soup from. The daikon was VERY WOODY. Both my friend and I awkwardly spit out splintery fibers and left them on our plate. Some of my daikon chunks were fine but my poor friend had double the amount of woody mass collecting on her plate which was really unsightly, especially when you're supposed to be at a nice place. I can't say I've ever encountered this with daikon before at a restaurant. It's pretty easy to see which parts of the daikon are too mature to use. Next we tried to get on to our entree as that was cooling quickly. Unfortunately the curries were already somewhat congealed by the time we made our way to it. The vegan one was pretty good, but again, I had some woody bits in my food. I don't know if that's from the mushroom or if it was from another ingredient but the splintery clumps amassing on the side of our plates was not what we had imagined we'd be doing at a Michelin guide restaurant.... My friend's duck wasn't much better. She complained about the awkward texture and wound up spitting out half of that one her plate. -not to mention, her meal was served to her without a steak knife. After waiting for much too long, she got up to go request a knife and walked the knife back to the table like a psycho. I'm not trying to sound entitled here, but when a restaurant is supposed to be "nice" and has "$$$$", you sort of expect a certain caliber of service. Having to go ask for a knife when you ordered a chunk of meat does seem like a miss. For what it's worth, the curries for both of us had a unique blend of flavors. My friend had a penang currty sweetened with lychee. I don't remember what kind of curry mine was, but it was tasty with a kick in the end. Curry to rice ratio was perhaps 1:3. We had to ask for extra curry to accompany the protein and rice to balance everything out. It would have just been so pasty and dry otherwise (you know, since everything was already congealed...) By the time we got around to our papaya salad, it had gone from chilled to room temp. While it was tasty, it wasn't as refreshing as the salad could be. We're not sure why all courses were served at once, or if that's how this specific lunch service goes? The best course of the day was 100% the dessert. Order the vegan dessert! "Mango-sticky rice ice cream". It was a homemade mango ice cream with coconut milk base. It sounds basic but these ingredients were masterfully put together to create something truly unique. Not sure where the rice was in this whole situation, but who cares! This dessert was incredible! Lightly sweet, creamy and freshing. It arrived like a piece of art, like a glossy, glimmering mango sculture. The way that chilled mango puree spilled over, coating the ice cream underneath... It clung on to the ice cream layer just barely coating it for most perfect combination of sweet and creamy. It was unfortunate I got the last one for the day. My friend had the cheesecake which she said was tasty but not mindblowing like my mango ice cream. It also was... not so glorious. In fact, it looked small and flat, like a half used stack of mini post-it notes. All in all, it was a fun experience. The dishes were familiar favorites with a creative twist. For $45, it wasn't bad but I don't know about coming back for the $$$$ dinner experience based on this visit. Maybe we'll be back for the $40-$45 prefixe again in the future.
