I am very disappointed in the service and quality of my order. Here are the main points from my experience: 1. My order was placed at around 6:20 pm and I was given a time of 6:55 pm to pick up my order. This order was not ready until 7:30 pm 2. The shakes that I ordered had no Oreo and tasted like banana. 3. My brisket burger did not have bbq sauce on it and my fries were not with the order, instead I received cold onion rings which I HATE. 4. I requested sauce on the side for the cheese curd burger and it came lathered on the burger. 5. I requested no bun for the fired up burger and it was served on a bun. 6. I requested gravy with the mashed potatoes which was not with the order. I did not order sauce with the chicken fingers and was given honey mustard. Every single meal from the order was wrong and cold. 2 of my family members used the word 'stale' to describe their food. On top of all of this, I was unable to call to discuss these issues; the line was busy. I emailed the above mentioned description of my experience and requested a refund. And you guessed it, I'm still waiting for a reply!! read more

Wow! Best breakfast burrito. Ever. Cannot believe the quality at a gas station eatery. This location was remodeled and now has a rustic modern feel. Yes they have plenty of seating if you want to stop by with your kids. I had The Big Boy which weighed about 2lbs. Tortilla was nice and thin so you can taste the contents. Eggs and sausage had a nice subtle spice. Mostly eggs and meat which is how a breakfast burrito should be - not potato forward. Great coffee selections too, they even have an iced coffee keg-orator you can pour yourself! Try this place, you will be impressed! read more

Awful! Horrid! We cannot believe the prior reviews unless they were paid to lie. Please AVOID. We read the reviews, then selected Farmer's Grandson Eatery over Casper's and Runyon's Nook in S. Paul. What a mistake! The "burgers" at Farmer's Grandson were frozen pre-formed patties, each 4 oz. Cooking was terrible. The fries were not good. And indeed it is inside a gas station. When we walked in at 5:50 PM on a Friday night and there were no customers we should have immediately left. But alas, we listened to the B.S. here on Yelp. We are a couple aged 70+ on a Mid-America Tour from our Atlanta base. Saturday was Pecan Lodge, Dallas. Sunday in Oklahoma City at Tucker's Onion Burger. Monday at Stella's Lounge in Grand Rapids, Tuesday was at Miles Lab in Elkhart, IN. Wednesday was at Johnny V's Classic Diner in West Allis, WI. This was our first time eating here. We didn't realize that it was like a truck stop. You order what you want at a counter, pick it up at the other end of the counter, then wander around looking for condiments and utensils. I don't think I've been more grossed out by a meal in my entire life. I ordered the brisket with two sides. I've never eaten there before but often filled my tank at the Shell and notice their signs for food. I went online while I was pumping my gas and the ratings were great. So, I decided to give it a shot, and brisket sounded really good. What I was given for 2 slices of fat and Gristle. There were a few tiny strips of muscle tissue but it was literally over 90% fat and Gristle. The smell was another thing. I've eaten plenty of brisket in my life and it does not smell of decomposing fat. The people there were very nice when they took my order and when I returned my food. I did get my money back and they were very kind about it. However, why did they think they could serve something so disgusting to me? I don't think I'm alone in wanting a slice of meat not a slice of gristle and fat. I wish I had taken a picture. I am not exaggerating the proportions of fat and gristle to meat. I literally left there nauseated and I do not think I will be able to give this place a second chance. A new favorite suburban gem in the Twin Cities. Yes it is in a gas station and yes that makes it fantastic. The prices are great - for all the burgers they have a 1/4lb and 1/2lb option depending on your appetite and budget! I thought the 1/4lb was plenty as it came with lots of fries that were crispy and delicious. There are lots of kinds of burgers and sandwiches. Just a few tips, you order at the restaurant counter and then get a receipt and go pay at the gas station cashier. There is only one bathroom for the restaurant and the gas station, a few of us had to wait. And I was looking around but awkwardly could not find a tip jar anywhere. We landed in Minneapolis after 9PM and after getting the rental I searched for open restaurants and I was delighted when a 4.5 star burger joint popped up! :) When we got there we were a bit dismayed to see that it was a burger joint in a gas station market... I was a bit worried, but I thought back to one of my favorite travel meals in a gas station - it was an Amish restaurant in Western Pennsylvania... so we gave it a shot. We ordered milkshakes and burgers. The shakes are 5 star! The burgers, well they were nothing special, simple patties (potentially frozen) on decent buns - nothing special and certainly nothing I'll be back for. This hidden gem is truly something special. Yes, it's connected to a gas station but do not let that fool you. I ordered the single patty BBQ Brisket burger with cheese curds. $10!!! When I opened the box the burger was gigantic. What caught my eye the most was the thick pieces of brisket pilled on top. The cheese curds came with a blueberry compote and you could tell they were freshly made too. The brisket was the star of the sandwich for sure. I added extra BBQ sauce and I was sold. Honestly, this place has a better burger than most restaurants I've been too. Don't be indecisive about coming to this place. Just do it because it's so worth it. This is actually a go to for my children and I for breakfast. For close to what we would spend on unsatisfactory subpar fast food breakfast, we can get hot freshly made eggs, French toast, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast pizza etc. my kids eat their food which is awesome as I'm not wasting money, and I don't feel like I'm feeding them greasy not nutritious preservative laden foods. We have a Monday morning tradition of eating breakfast out and I'm happy to have this in our rotation. There is always a line around lunch and dinner time, and it is a popular destination for the businesses across Lone Oak and the nearby hotels. I would say I wish they staffed the registers a little better, or had the staff who work in the "kitchen" area with their own POS and register so if you're there for gas or convenience store items you aren't stuck in the line of people being run up for food. read more

Very inexpensive under $10 for a whole meal for lunch they have everything! its actually a gas station but inside they have a seating area, a few tables out front, even a grill during the summer that grills up fresh burgers and brats! They also offer $5 meals for lunch that includes a burger/sandwich with a drink and fries. similar to the DQ lunch basket concept which I think is a great offer. I purchased a baked chicken and fried chicken with mac n cheese+ mashed potatoes. Everything tasted freshly made with real ingredients. They also offer a stamp card purchase 12 lunches get one free for those that work/live near by. Awesome place that I never expected to try lunch at! read more

Okay, so i tried this place today on a lark. Could not believe I was going for lunch at a gas station. The fam was at Mall of America and i was doing work...so walked across the parking lot to the Market. The interior is not like any gas station i recall. Nice espresso bar too. Saw this on Groupon now the other day - and since it is literally right around the corner from our new office, i decided to give 'er a go! Got Gyros - well 2 gyros and a bowl of soup since i had $10 to spend - which is a lot there. The gyros were good - not amazing - but it's also not an little authentic greek hole in the wall - they came packed with feta, lettuce and tomatoes as well as tzaziki. I live across the street and everyone is always friendly, the restrooms are clean, and the food is great. The GM really cares. Always present and coming up with innovative ways to take care of the customer. Nancy is a great lady running the cashier. I do love the fried green beans, but has otherwise been unimpressed with their chicken and cheeseburgers. Small little place attached to a gas station but food was good, place was clean and the service was quick. I'll keep this brief, because my opinion seems to be shared by the majority of reviewers. Solid place to eat. Friendly service, messy food, positive experience, easy in-and-out. I tried the poutine and the wild rice soup. Both were very good, not great. I was hoping to take some of the poutine to go, but it was so messily prepared, the gravy was all over the outside of the box. Still, a fun place to check out, wouldn't hesitate to return. I was suprised to find out this place is a deli in a gas station. I ordered a chipotle ranch bacon chicken sandwich and it was made to order. The bread was soft not soggy and the chicken was seasoned well. It even came with a pickle spear and house made kettle patato chips. The chipotle ranch tasted fresh like they made it in house. Bad experience 1 yr. ago and another one now. Last time the wait person brought my food without verifying the contents and gave it to another customer who inspected the sandwich thoroughly with her bare hands and picked at it with her fingers, waitress did not see this so then tried to give me that food. Nope Today 1st of all I am waiting for my food at the pickup window with NO AREA TO SAFELY SOCIAL DISTANCE EVEN NEAR 6ft. I kept moving away as people came in my space and move again and again like 5-6 times.. So upset Because my wait was long I kept moving in different spots to try to keep distance ,then I try to ask someone at the counter (after waiting over 15 min.) if there was someone there so I could check on my order .A guy comes down and said it's down here at the order area (getting cold) and I'm thinking WHAT IS A PICKUP COUNTER FOR IF I CAN'T PICK UP MY ORDER. LOM is not just a gas station..it has an espresso bar and a deli with tons of options to pick from. It ranges from jucy burgers, sub sandwiches, open face sandwiches, gyros, cheesecurds, prime rib, fried tacos, pizza, fried pickles...there is soo much more! I love coming here everyday. You cant beat a better place to eat while on the run. Ingredients are prepped daily so nothing is pre packaged. Love that. Five stars for sure read more

I'm visiting from the SF Bay area and had to try this out as its near my work. As this is a restaurant in a gas station I have to compare it to the last bbq/gas station I was at which is Oklahoma Joes in KC last month. the brisket had better flavor here!!!!!! Not as tender or moist though so I would have to say that Oklahoma Joes was better overall in terms of bbq brisket. I will be back in the morning to try their breakfast and several more times while I'm here. prices are great for what you get and I love the vibe here. the only way I would change it is add beer and a better bbq sauce. the bbq sauce cost them a star as it seemed to be a bulk store bought St. Louis style sauce. Beer may have been available, but the set up is a little confusing at first. read more
