Its got a great outdoor seating area that looks like it's going to be a lot fun in the next few months! I had one of the lunch specials for $10: 4 chicken wings and fries. I was skeptical to order this since I was really hungry, but there was more than enough food! The wings were delicious and sauced perfectly. The parmesan fries were delicious as well. I also had the coldest draft beer I've ever had...no joke! It was Ziegenbock and it was so....incredibly...delicious! Service was friendly and efficient. The best thing we had was the onion rings, and the drinks were on point. We also tried the Hot Honey wings, but they weren't our favorite. They were much saucier than expected, and while I asked the waitress whether they leaned more sweet or spicy, I was told they didn't really have any heat. However, they did have a noticeable kick once I tried them. My husband enjoyed his steak fingers. Overall, we'd be willing to give the place another try. We stopped here for dinner 9ne evening after looking for property to buy in the area. You come to a crossroads and this amazing quaint little place is just sitting g there to have the people inside serve you with love and grace! The food was good! A bit different than the normals Texas fare you would get. A little bit of a twist on the spices that was a great addition! We enjoyed the fun atmosphere! I believe my favorite dish was between the fries and the chicken fingers. To be honest the egg rolls were a bit spicy to my very sensitive mouth. So, I was quite please that the fries had the beef fajita meet..so good and juicy!! I cant wait to get those again! So we went about 2 weeks after they opened and it wasn't too good all the way around. We decided to give them another shot since they've been open for a bit. Up until dessert, I would have given them a pretty solid 4-Star but unfortunately it dropped. First, they have simplified their menu since they opened and that's a GOOD thing. We tried the brisket egg rolls for an appetizer. The size was very generous and there were four pieces. The appearance was also very good. The egg rolls themselves were very flavorful. The smoked brisket was chopped and mixed in with some cheese. The egg roll itself was fried just right and the bbq sauce was the right flavor. If you ate them all, they could be a light entree. We will order again. My wife tried the breaded buffalo chicken sandwich. Just as with the egg roll, the chicken was a very generous size. The chicken was breaded nicely and the buffalo sauce was very good. We both liked the flavor and how it was prepared! I ordered the Boot Special which was chicken fried steak. I opted for the white gravy on top. The gravy had a good flavor to it. The inner portion of the chicken fried steak was perfect. Unfortunately, the outer portion all the way around was very over-fried and hard. I had the Parmesan fries and as when we were there before, they were prepared perfectly - crispy outside but not burnt - perfect. The charro beans were once again amazing! If I go back I might make a meal out of them - their flavor is spot on! We decided to try the fried ice cream again. Unfortunately, not sure what happened, but after 20 minutes our server came back and asked if we still wanted it - yes, we did. When it finally came out, the appearance was great just like before. Two servings with whipped cream. Appearance and portions - perfect. Unfortunately, the texture of the coating was just like the previous time - almost rubbery and definitely not properly fried. The flavor of the coating was good - it reminded us of a crumbly little Hostess doughnut. They either need to adjust the recipe for the coating; deep fry it better; or scrap this dessert. It has a lot of potential but it's not there. So - overall the service was better this time (except for the dessert miscue) and overall the appetizer and entree were better this time. I must add that when the owner or manager (not sure which) saw the look on my face waiting for the ice cream she inquired. After we finished, she also inquired about how it was - so she was definitely making an effort. Will we go back? Probably, because we live fairly close to it and I like to support local businesses. Would I drive any distance to eat here? Probably not - at least not now - hopeful that they will continue to adjust a few things as they go along. read more

I live down the street from this restaurant and remember when it was Kicaster. I have read the reviews of the 1-star ratings and am sad that they had a bad experience, but to say the food is mediocre at best--naw, that is a stretch. One of the things I like to try at restaurants, if they have them, are their burgers. People think burgers are easy but they are absolutely not. The burger at this place was like biting into Americana; I could almost hear the Eagles' screams! What let me know it was an amazing burger was that I had asked for the condiments (ketchup, mustard, and mayo) on the side, and I bit into the burger without them. I could have legit eaten that burger with NO condiments, it was so good. It was hands down one of the best burgers I have had in the greater San Antonio area or anywhere. My husband got the Boot special, which was the country-fried steak, and it was a nice size and delicious. They have the seasoning down to perfection here; hot, not too overbearing, but enough to make you smile. The decor is simple and fits the farmhouse feel. One reason I gave it a 4-star is that my fries were lukewarm, and the service was slow and disoriented. The owner is a military veteran like I am, and if my veteran brother can get his service to the same level as the quality of the food, the price point, which is quite higher than local places, would not be an issue. read more

Dry burger Dry chicken They had a baked potato advertised once and it was probably one of the worst things I've ever eaten. The potato was clearly heated over and over and over with chewy pieces of bacon and cold toppings. Then the burger they made outside was absolutely flavorless. We have been wanting to try this place since they opened and finally had a chance to check it out. Upon entering, the young lady that served us was so sweet and friendly. She was attentive and even made a couple of suggestions. We ordered the onion rings to start with and they were pretty good. We then got the steak finger basket with fries and the bone-in wings. We enjoyed the steak fingers, but the fries were not hot. The wings were a different story... the Korean bbq sauce, and the wing itself was not good. The lemon pepper they use is a wet batter that tastes like a parmesean/ lemon pepper mix. My taste buds were not ready for that at all. My husband asked for something else, and the management said they would make us something else, but we would have to pay for the wings. The young server was so apologetic, but management never came to apologize or check on what happened. Not only is this HORRIBLE customer service, but it's also a bad way to manage your staff. We knew it wasn't her fault and would not take it out on her, but the female manager and the male cook should have checked on the guests. We tried it and won't be returning. Restaurants like this cater to certain guests, and I don't believe that was us. Respect ALL of your customers who come into your establishment! They will last forever! read more

This is our first time trying the farmhouse table. The good food and friendliness of the staff will bring us back. Our table and three around were told they were our of multiple items. Wait, out of food, 7:00 on a Friday night, I can only imagine how bad it will be by Saturday night. my reviews are never meant to scare people away, but to make these establishment a little bit better. I understand off night, but the table next to us said they've been there four times and all four times there were items they had ordered that were not available. My daughter who lives not too far away, took us to this place on Monday 6/16/25. We have remembered the different businesses that were at this location. We decided to give it a try. The food was very good and the portions were generous. One interesting side dish was garlic Parmesan french fries. A very unique taste and would have liked them if they were a little bit Bigger say like crinkle cut but definitely not shoe string. It had a small salad bar with some decent toppings. For a up charge, you could get the salad as aside or you could get a one trip or an all you can eat version if you don't feel like anything else. I had the chop steak, which was very tasty and came out cooked exactly the way I liked it. The gravy was good but a little tiny bit salty. Coleslaw had a little bit of a kick to it, but it was a creamy/vinegar type slaw. Our server was very friendly in helping us make choices And she kept an eye on our drinks and provided very good service there. As far as ambience, it was reminiscent of a convenience store. As you entered the building, there was a small seating area to the right and a little bit larger one on the left side where I was sitting. They had a small bar and outside there were tables set up to make it look like one of those Road House type ambience. They even had Porta potties set up for if you had a little bit too much to drink. On prices I would give it $$. Inside the room, they had flags in the ceiling of the different military branches. I asked them about if they gave a military discount and they said yes. If you want to know how much it is, you have to go there yourself. I showed her my veteran status on my ID card and she honored it by saying "thank you for your service". I am so confused as to WHY people can say this is a good eating establishment. I've given this place 3 chances because I was giving them the benefit of the doubt since they just opened. And I have been more and more disappointed after every visit. The food is mediocre at best. I see teenagers in the kitchen or in their little food area outside and the food is being cooked by someone who still needs some assistance because when I say the food is BLAND I mean BLAND as BLAND can be. And dry! SOOOOOOOOO dry! The bacon cheeseburger tasted like absolutely nothing. The meat was way overcooked and the bread was stale. And how does bacon have no flavor? I've tried the burger twice and each time worse than the last. Also the parmesan fries that appeared to be smothered in garlic also had no flavor??? I've also tried the chicken wings- super over breaded. The chicken sandwich was also so dry and so bland. And last night the advertised their baked potato on facebook and my mom ordered one and it was probably the worst thing I have ever tasted in my 40 years of living. The potato tasted like it was reheated over and over and over and the toppings were cold and the bacon pieces were hard as rock. I don't understand the hype around this place because when I say the food is terrible, I feel like I'm being nice. I gave it a try 3 times- and now I will never waste money on this place ever again. Shame because there isn't much of a selection in these parts. I'd recommend driving a few more minutes down the road to Corralejos or the opposite way to La Vernia to find better food. read more
