I wouldn't get it again. We also ordered the tavern burger. We ordered both well done, only one came out well done, the other was a little pink. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience was so cute and relaxing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were seated right away at 1pm on a Sunday. The chicken Caprese sandwich was so flavorful and we asked for the fries well done and they had that perfect outer crunch to potato inside. My son enjoyed the spaghetti and meatball meal and my other son loved his mozzarella sticks and well done fries. The only slight disappointment was that the simple tavern burger was so good and the service/wait for food was so long. It didn't help that we were driving through and stopped for lunch on a 12 hour planned drive. We didn't have that much time to waste. My friends commented that the fish and chips were good, although could have been a bit crispier, the chicken parm was good and a large serving, and the special chicken dish was ok - mashed potatoes weren't anything to rave about. It has been a long time since we dined at this location in Katonah. It's been operating as several different restaurants over the last 25 years, most recently Katonah Woods. The menu is diverse, and offers a wide selection of menu items from Paella to Cornish Game Hen to Lamb Burger, all made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. It's simultaneously rustic and cool, with a relaxed atmosphere and excellent service. We loved our meal here with friends and everyone found something to live on the menu (including the pescatarian). Came in today at this wonderful establishment for happy hour. Mr. Nick was the bartender for the time I was there . Today I ordered the shrimp taco on lettuce as well as the chili wings and a red sangria. The chili wings are always the best this time I have some pics. After living in Bedford Hills since December 2024 we finally made our way to Farmhouse Tavern for lunch and are so glad we did. I was here celebrating my aunt Jenny's 60th birthday, and I loved how good the food was, I loved how the servers were kind and attentive. The restaurant was also pretty cool with a country rustic vibe. I ordered a bloody mary which was pretty good. I think they put a little to much alcohol in it, though, because I had to sober up a bit with a coke and some coffee. Everything I tried was delicious including but not limited to their shrimp cocktails, tuna tartare, and ribeye steak. They were also able to do modify anything on their menu to fit my dietary needs and even offered to cut up the cake so we could serve it. I would also love to give a huge shoutout to our servers, Bari, Dorian, and James who were really made our experience at the Farmhouse Tavern outstanding and unforgettable. Unfortunately, the Farmhouse Burger was only OK and my wife and I wouldn't get it again because it wasn't worth the price. The burger meat was preformed with no flavor, the bacon was not crispy but thankfully not rubbery. The best part was that the lettuce was very crispy which was great. Putting the lettuce and tomato under the burger looked pretty but was structurally unsound meaning that it slid off right away making for a very messy episode. The caramelized onions and Russian dressing were plentiful which was good but not enough to save from the flavorless meat and poor engineering. After some debate, I decided to come back here again to see if this place truly lived up to my 5 star review last year and to my delight it did. We got the calamari, the farmhouse burger and they allowed us to purchase a kids portion of penne vodka which was extremely helpful for us. Last time i reviewed this place, i failed to rave enough about the bread that they provide for free. Not only is it served warm and with a spread, but the bread is almost perfect; crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside. I decided to write this follow up review because the hostesss Allison was so very helpful in answering questions about the bread but also had a full conversation with me and my son which made us feel like family. I came here to dinner with my family on a Saturday night. It wasn't too busy. We made reservations just in case but there were still plenty of empty tables. The food was standard. We had the fried calamari as an appetizer. I had the scallops and grits which apparently was a new item on their menu. It was actually pretty good. The scallops were soft and well-cooked and the grits were creamy. It came with tomatoes and chorizo as well. I personally don't like chorizo so I put those to the side but I liked the flavor and sweetness they added to the dish. I think added grilled asparagus would have completed the dish with a crunchy texture, some bitterness, and color. We had the tiramisu (just ok) and the chocolate lava cake (also just ok). The only thing is, I was confused about a chewy piece that wouldn't break down and when I spat it out, it was some plastic strip. I'm hoping it was the oven lining for the cake. Started off with a bloody Mary that was spicy and delicious, and for entrées, we ordered the following: The farmhouse burger, Eggs Benedict, veggie omelette, and chicken paillard. The eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked with a wonderful hollandaise. The omelette was fluffy and delicious. The burger was absolutely amazing, with melted Gruyere cheese, bacon, and onions. I very much enjoyed the side salad that came with it. The chicken Paillard looked like a masterpiece when it arrived, with fresh arugula and tomatoes atop a golden chicken breast. We loved it all!
