This dinner last night was an unforgettable experience. I booked my reservation, blind, as I had never eaten here. My daughter was driving up to CT from NYC and wanted to meet In Katonah for dinner. Our server, Allison, was the best and the food satisfied everyone's choices. To cap off the experience, and when the crowd thinned out, the music streaming was a stellar selection of great oldies music from the 50's - 70's. My only "ding" in my review is the noise level when we arrived, sitting at a table near the front of the restaurant. The brick wall, and glass windows were not acoustic friendly. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant! The ambience was so cute and relaxing. We were seated right away at 1pm on a Sunday. The chicken Caprese sandwich was so flavorful and we asked for the fries well done and they had that perfect outer crunch to potato inside. My son enjoyed the spaghetti and meatball meal and my other son loved his mozzarella sticks and well done fries. The only slight disappointment was that the simple tavern burger was so good and the service/wait for food was so long. It didn't help that we were driving through and stopped for lunch on a 12 hour planned drive. We didn't have that much time to waste. Upon entering, we were seated immediately. Beautiful yet simple fall decor. We ordered French onion soup for appetizer. The soup was not very flavored. I wouldn't get it again. We also ordered the tavern burger. We ordered both well done, only one came out well done, the other was a little pink. It comes with fries, but they don't give a lot of fries at all. For dessert, we ordered the carrot cake and the crème brûlée. Both were fantastic! Service was very good. I would return and try other menu options. Came for a late lunch/early dinner today with 3 friends and really liked how the restaurant is set up and styled (and very clean bathroom which is always nice) with ample parking. Really impressed by the menu, lots of variety. I wanted to order the jambalaya, but because of the time of day I opted for the chicken burger instead. Was delish!! Perfectly cooked, tons of flavor and the fries were amazing! My friends commented that the fish and chips were good, although could have been a bit crispier, the chicken parm was good and a large serving, and the special chicken dish was ok - mashed potatoes weren't anything to rave about. The waitress was nice, but slow to come around, never came back to ask for drink refills, and never offered dessert before handing us the check. We stopped here on our way back to southern Westchester from an evening at Harvest Moon. Service was extremely friendly. Decor was cozy and perfect for a tavern feel. Food was delicious. Lemon spaghetti was excellent - and a very generous portion. The burger was messy but very well seasoned and cooked. Lemon chicken was also very generously sized and was very tasty. The mashed potatoes and spinach were nice sides for the chicken. Kids chicken fingers and fries were good. It has been a long time since we dined at this location in Katonah. It's been operating as several different restaurants over the last 25 years, most recently Katonah Woods. The menu is diverse, and offers a wide selection of menu items from Paella to Cornish Game Hen to Lamb Burger, all made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. It's simultaneously rustic and cool, with a relaxed atmosphere and excellent service. We loved our meal here with friends and everyone found something to live on the menu (including the pescatarian). Came in today at this wonderful establishment for happy hour. Mr. Nick was the bartender for the time I was there . Today I ordered the shrimp taco on lettuce as well as the chili wings and a red sangria. The chili wings are always the best this time I have some pics. The chili wings have a nice crunch and a wonderful spice to match. I love the buffalo shrimp taco on lettuce which is also very rewarding on the palette. I also enjoy the red sangria that Mr. Nick makes. He is also very hospitable and makes you feel comfortable. Also there is a lady there her name is Allison she is also great and also very welcoming. After living in Bedford Hills since December 2024 we finally made our way to Farmhouse Tavern for lunch and are so glad we did. My wife and I wanted to have a small bite for lunch and decided to share an appetizer and entree. We mutually decided on Chicken Dumplings and Fish and Chips. The dumplings were super tasty and came with two dipping sauces. The fish and chips were the best we've ever had, hands down. Super fresh, not greasy but very crunchy and the fries were cooked perfectly. To add to the delightful entree was an amazing tartar sauce, which alone was worth the price. The restaurant was busy for a Thursday afternoon which was nice to see. We were seated right away, our waiter came took our drink order and was ever present but not hovering. The restaurant has two sides one side has a bar area with a few tables while the other side has about 15-20 tables. They can accommodate a larger party as one of the occupied tables had 7 or so people at it. The restaurant boasts a rustic charm and uses fresh locally sourced ingredients. Always great food. I'm a cider person and they don't always have it. The waitstaff is always friendly and welcoming.

I was here celebrating my aunt Jenny's 60th birthday, and I loved how good the food was, I loved how the servers were kind and attentive. The restaurant was also pretty cool with a country rustic vibe. I ordered a bloody mary which was pretty good. I think they put a little to much alcohol in it, though, because I had to sober up a bit with a coke and some coffee. Everything I tried was delicious including but not limited to their shrimp cocktails, tuna tartare, and ribeye steak. They were also able to do modify anything on their menu to fit my dietary needs and even offered to cut up the cake so we could serve it. I would also love to give a huge shoutout to our servers, Bari, Dorian, and James who were really made our experience at the Farmhouse Tavern outstanding and unforgettable. A real fun atmosphere at this spot that's half restaurant, half bar. Been here twice and both times the food was just okay, with their delicious French onion soup being the best thing they've got. Beautiful atmosphere. The spinach strawberry salad was very good with plenty of fresh strawberries that combined well with the blue cheese, almonds and pecans. The French onion soup was good and flavorful and the chopped fresh green onions on top were an excellent choice although the portion was a small for the price and it was warm, which is fine for me, but not hot. Unfortunately, the Farmhouse Burger was only OK and my wife and I wouldn't get it again because it wasn't worth the price. The burger meat was preformed with no flavor, the bacon was not crispy but thankfully not rubbery. The best part was that the lettuce was very crispy which was great. Putting the lettuce and tomato under the burger looked pretty but was structurally unsound meaning that it slid off right away making for a very messy episode. The caramelized onions and Russian dressing were plentiful which was good but not enough to save from the flavorless meat and poor engineering. The staff was attentive and it was not busy on a holiday weekend which made the meal pleasant. read more

We also got steamed clams and fried calamari. Both were really well done but the calamari was the star (soft and had pickled peppers). Service was great and attentive. After some debate, I decided to come back here again to see if this place truly lived up to my 5 star review last year and to my delight it did. We got the calamari, the farmhouse burger and they allowed us to purchase a kids portion of penne vodka which was extremely helpful for us. Last time i reviewed this place, i failed to rave enough about the bread that they provide for free. Not only is it served warm and with a spread, but the bread is almost perfect; crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside. I decided to write this follow up review because the hostesss Allison was so very helpful in answering questions about the bread but also had a full conversation with me and my son which made us feel like family. I came here to dinner with my family on a Saturday night. It wasn't too busy. We made reservations just in case but there were still plenty of empty tables. The food was standard. We had the fried calamari as an appetizer. I had the scallops and grits which apparently was a new item on their menu. It was actually pretty good. The scallops were soft and well-cooked and the grits were creamy. It came with tomatoes and chorizo as well. I personally don't like chorizo so I put those to the side but I liked the flavor and sweetness they added to the dish. I think added grilled asparagus would have completed the dish with a crunchy texture, some bitterness, and color. We had the tiramisu (just ok) and the chocolate lava cake (also just ok). The only thing is, I was confused about a chewy piece that wouldn't break down and when I spat it out, it was some plastic strip. I'm hoping it was the oven lining for the cake. I received two 'street tacos' (fair enough), which consisted of two pieces (one each taco) of a deep-fried, dry and greasy cod 'fish sticks', not pan fried as advertised (obviously frozen, out of a bag), placed in a tasteless, warm, limp red slaw, littered with chewy canned corn, drizzled with a bottled, gooey, tasteless thick aioli on small tortillas. This "treat" presented to me for $21.00? The highlight of our dining experience was the ample parking in front of the restaurant (not surprised). Find someplace else. read more

I had a girlfriend get together brunch here. It was the perfect place for it! It's very cute inside with the brick interior. Started off with a bloody Mary that was spicy and delicious, and for entrées, we ordered the following: The farmhouse burger, Eggs Benedict, veggie omelette, and chicken paillard. The eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked with a wonderful hollandaise. The omelette was fluffy and delicious. The burger was absolutely amazing, with melted Gruyere cheese, bacon, and onions. I very much enjoyed the side salad that came with it. The chicken Paillard looked like a masterpiece when it arrived, with fresh arugula and tomatoes atop a golden chicken breast. We loved it all! For dessert, we had two birthdays in the crowd so we all shared a beautiful brownie à la mode and a berry pie. Both were sweet and delicious. Hunting for eateries north of White Plains, I stopped by Farmhouse Tavern for a late lunch/early dinner. With the name Farmhouse Tavern, I half-expected country breakfast options. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised with what they offered, a modern / fusion take on American cuisine Ambiance: The space felt modern yet humble. It's decor, inspired by its namesake, 'Farmhouse', sprinkled farm imagery and knickknacks. I felt comfortable in my casualwear, but I feel that the space could work for formal occasions as well. Food: My goal was to find good food as I was going solo. Once I saw that there were specials (I believe that there are daily specials), I went straight for all of them. (Next time I'll go with their everyday menu). Lobster Bisque to begin, Manchego baked Oysters as an appetizer, Grilled Spicy Adobo Shrimp as an entrée. All courses were very good. The Manchego baked oysters blew my mind! Service: The greeter and waitstaff were very friendly and accommodating. They attended to my questions, took my order and came back to check on me often. Special shout out to Dorian, who did a great job with my dessert, which was a mixed berry cake (loved it) Final Thoughts: This place is an awesome find as its unique/approachable feel, yet modern food options makes it versatile for any occasion.
