    Crème brûlée and carrot cake

Upon entering, we were seated immediately. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful yet simple fall decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered French onion soup for appetizer. The soup was not very flavored. I wouldn't get it again. We also ordered the tavern burger. We ordered both well done, only one came out well done, the other was a little pink. It comes with fries, but they don't give a lot of fries at all. For dessert, we ordered the carrot cake and the crème brûlée. Both were fantastic! Service was very good. I would return and try other menu options. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, very cute spot and I would definitely give it a try if you're in the area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came for a late lunch/early dinner today with 3 friends and [[HIGHLIGHT]]really liked how the restaurant is set up and styled (and very clean bathroom which is always nice) with ample parking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Really impressed by the menu, lots of variety. I wanted to order the jambalaya, but because of the time of day I opted for the chicken burger instead. Was delish!! Perfectly cooked, tons of flavor and the fries were amazing! My friends commented that the fish and chips were good, although could have been a bit crispier, the chicken parm was good and a large serving, and the special chicken dish was ok - mashed potatoes weren't anything to rave about. The waitress was nice, but slow to come around, never came back to ask for drink refills, and never offered dessert before handing us the check. I like not being rushed, but this was a bit too much the other extreme. I would come back to try other menu items.

It has been a long time since we dined at this location in Katonah. It's been operating as several different restaurants over the last 25 years, most recently Katonah Woods. The menu is diverse, and offers a wide selection of menu items from Paella to Cornish Game Hen to Lamb Burger, all made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. It's simultaneously rustic and cool, with a relaxed atmosphere and excellent service. We loved our meal here with friends and everyone found something to live on the menu (including the pescatarian). Solid wine list, a nice beer selection and a wonderful atmosphere.

Farmhouse Tavern is located in a shopping center, so there is lots of parking. We started off with burrata, fried calamari, and peel-and-eat shrimp. All three dishes were great. I had a spicy margarita, which was made with fresh jalapeños. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The fries were nice and crispy. I ordered my tavern burger with a side of pickled onions.

Great atmosphere ! A tablecloth restaurant with a cool vibe. Friendly hostess and staff with a varied menu that would satisfy everyone in your party. Excellent stop for a full fancy meal or just a bite. Right off of 684, we stopped there en route to NYC. Excellent choice.

Never had a bad meal or less than amazing service here! I love their farmhouse burger and will substitute blue cheese for a wow type of burger. Their chili Thai wings are amazing. Appetizers most of them are large enough portions for three or more and the bar staff is super awesome! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining room, the bar, and even outside seating, each is different but yet all are a cool vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came in today at this wonderful establishment for happy hour. Mr. Nick was the bartender for the time I was there . Today I ordered the shrimp taco on lettuce as well as the chili wings and a red sangria. The chili wings are always the best this time I have some pics. The chili wings have a nice crunch and a wonderful spice to match. I love the buffalo shrimp taco on lettuce which is also very rewarding on the palette. I also enjoy the red sangria that Mr. Nick makes. He is also very hospitable and makes you feel comfortable. Also there is a lady there her name is Allison she is also great and also very welcoming. She also makes your visit rewarding and special. Very nice and relaxed environment which I don't mind Visiting when I can on a weekly basis . I always find a seat at the bar when I do get a chance to show up...

Is Farmhouse Tavern quiet enough for conversation at dinner time?

It can be. If you sit on the left side of the restaurant, away from the bar, the noise level is much less than near the bar.

My husband and I found a last minute reservation for Valentine's Day here. We read about the owners…read moreand were optimistic that is would be a great meal. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! We had a delicious prix fixe VDay menu that was hands-down one of the best meals we've had in years. We are transplants from the city and felt like we were back in Brooklyn. Every bite was mouth-watering, from the salted butter and warm bread to the perfectly dressed beet and bitter green salad...to the delicious steak, halibut, and pots de creme and olive oil cake for dessert. What an absolute treat, made only better by the attentive and congenial waitstaff that made you feel like a regular. Oh, and the drinks - the mixologist at the bar created a perfect drink every time! And thanks for coming to say hello, Kaitlyn! Cannot recommend this place enough - do not let the strip mall locale deter you - this place is worth it in every way! Hot wings are buffalo-style, simple and delicious, served with ranch or blue cheese, a dozen good-sized pieces per order. Smashburgers come piled high with two patties plus fixins. The porchetta sandwich was wonderful, with the fattiness of the meat balanced by the tangy pickled onions. Fries were nicely crispy, and the portions were generous. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The only thing that keeps this from being a five-star review is the chicken sandwich, which was disappointingly under-seasoned. Looking forward to another visit!

My husband and I were driving back from car shopping and we were both…read morehungry because we hadn't eaten all day, so I typed in "Steak" on Yelp and up popped Stone House Grill. I took a quick look at the ratings and the food photos and that was enough for us to set the GPS for the Stone House. Entering, we were greeted immediately and made to feel very welcome. The dining room was lively but we had a nice table and soon had water and bread, which came with a delicious sauce of some kind that had vegetables and cheese in it. It was so good they should sell jars of it! We ordered some shrimp cocktail to start (those were some giant shrimp, although it was only three and four would have been a nice even number) and then I had the rib eye for my main. It doesn't come with anything so I ordered fries on the side. That steak was outstanding! The flavor, the texture...everything was amazing. It came out on a sizzling skillet and it tasted as good as it looked. It was also so big that I took half of it home for lunch and if possible, it tasted even better the next day. I was very pleased. The fries were also exceptional and even though the serving was big, I ate them all. I couldn't help myself! Since I took half of my steak home, I decided there was room for dessert and the chocolate mousse didn't disappoint. The food was so good and the service was so warm and friendly, I definitely want to go back to Stone House Grill. If you're nearby, stop in for a meal. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

My chicken cutlet was not that good.Loaded with sauce hardly any meat. We went for lunch and I did not see anything special about this restaurant. And when it came to paying, they charge over three percent to use your credit card. And when I asked about it, she said every one does that, and I said, no, they don't. I deducted the three percent from the tip which I left in cash. I eat out at least 4 nights a week. And none of the restaurants I go to charge to use your credit card and I don't go to the ones that do. I won't be going back.

I was really in the mood this time for the caesar salad and I wanted to try the spaghetti and meatballs since I wasn't a huge fan of the (not so baked) baked ziti. The caesar salad had the perfect dressing to lettuce ratio and there weren't too many croutons. I was a big fan of the spaghetti. The meatballs were the perfect size and the pasta wasn't too salty. I also noticed how the pasta wasn't over or undercooked. I could also tell that my dad and my grandpa really enjoyed their meals as well. The food quality was great and our service was impeccable. Our server was helpful and was able to answer all of my questions. The server was also very helpful when it came to taking care of my grandpa who had trouble seeing the menu. She brought an extra light to the table in order for him to see the menu which was really kind. In general I would say that I enjoy my trips to Katonah and I think it's pretty cool how the owners of the restaurant had the idea to convert the old train station into the restaurant. If you look closely you can see that there are some elements of the restaurant that make it appear as if you are in an old fashioned train station but I am confused by all of the horses although I do love them.

Blue Hill at Stone Barns (2 Michelin stars) and La Bastide by Andrea Calstier (1 Michelin star) are the only two Westchester County restaurants with Michelin Status. Purdy's rugged farm based surroundings on this clear bright morning were a bit unusual for what one would expect. However, once we entered the landmark old house with its original well appointed ambience of 1775 and beguiling aromas coming from the kitchen, we knew we were in for a treat. Menus were not quite ready (printer problem?) upon arrival to our table. Once we received the menu of the day - we knew what to order, plus we were accompanied by a great friend who happens to be a wonderful chef who knew the place well, and she is quite familiar with what to choose based on the well-mannered upper echelon Westchester locals. Here is what we ordered. Firstly, a bottle of bubbly to celebrate our birthday guests. Followed by ... STARTERS: Clam Chowder Polenta Fries Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail MAINS: Wild Mushroom Bucatini Nova Scotia Halibut Scottish Salmon Everything was delicious and well plated. Our waiter, Sean was warm, friendly and efficient overseeing his assistants who brought out the cuisine, and cleared the table items carefully. We will definitely return. 5 easy stars Thank you!
