This time, I picked up two chocolate croissants, a butter croissant, a blueberry scone, and an oatmeal cranberry cookie. I haven't tried them yet, but I'm sure they'll be just as delicious as everything I had here last time! There were many more customers sitting outside this time, and there was a short line inside, but it moved quickly with more staff working behind the counter. Definitely coming back again!

It felt as if I were in my mom's kitchen, and I couldn't wait to see what was this baked good that we had to wait a few minutes for as the smell encapsulated the whole bakery. Everything here without a doubt is made fresh, and this was the proof in case there was any question. On this visit, we tried one of their baguettes to have alongside a kale and potato with cheese soup I made. Always a must is also their gluten free chocolate bundt cake, we ended up getting two slices, it's just too good!!! They also had freshly made pistachio macaroons as well as blueberry, we got one of each. both were amazing, but my favorite was the pistachio. I would be remiss to not mention that their coffee is amazing. Even just the cafe au lait, their coffee is really good. Just as we were paying, one of the girls brought out the baked goods to the front, baked crumble muffins. You could still see the hot butter bubbling at the top; absolute heaven! This little bakery is one of the reasons we come into Stockbridge, especially on a nice day; an absolute gem.

I was 40 feet from the door, and the smell wafting toward me was fabulous. Inside, there were several bakers preparing muffins and other goodies (for the next day?). Lucy was waiting on a woman who had driven down from Brattleboro. This woman was praising the decaf coffee, and baked goods. I opted for a lemon bar and an almond croissant with chocolate. The woman approved. Quick digression - very clean bathroom, w an interesting painted sink (see pix)....and an old Remington typewriter. The lemon bar was amazing. My lips were so puckered the rest of my 50+ mile ride home, I was fantasizing about my good friend, also named Lucy, and what I could do with those puckered lips. Had the croissant later that evening. One of the best I've ever tasted. Definitely worth a visit.

Crispy crust has plenty of air pockets to keep it light with a good chew. The BBQ onion is sweet. The roasted garlic had a bunch of garlic scattered all over. Lots of cheese on both. The last pizza, roasted red pepper, will be for another day. They had about five pre-made frozen pizza options when we visited. If you prefer, call ahead and they will build one fresh to your liking for you to pick up and bake at home. The interior shopping area is small. By the register is a pastry display case with the most enormous stuffed croissants, scones, cookies and other sweet treats. Behind that is a display of fresh breads. On a rack by the door are bagged bread goods. Freezer and refrigerator cases are along the wall. If I lived around here I would without a doubt be a regular customer and try all their offerings.
