I just had to go to get my stitches removed. I'd had a tooth extracted a week prior. It went fine. They took a few x-rays to check on the healing, reminded me to finish the antibiotics and gave me a prescription for Peridex. My mouth is still pretty sore. I really like Dr. Fadavi though. Dear Patients, Caution!! Please do not go to Dr. Farnoush Fadavi. She is a liar, a scammer and she will break promises once she takes your money. She displays high anxiety and is trying to raise two children but has demonstrated that she has family issues and is unable to run a professional office. Many insurance companies have caught Dr. Farnoush lying along with her husband that works in her office as well. She will try to make you feel guilty if she proceeds she as unknowable and will demonstrate arrogance, just to make herself seem like she knows her skills, while she is not equipped to be in the field that she is in. She displays stress and anxiety because she also has a lack of employees because she is not willing to pay for decent help for the sake of her patients. Stay far away from her. I use this doctor 10 years ago. I needed to have a possible root canal so I re-accessed her. When I got to the office, they wanted me to pay upfront and I said no. She saw me without paying upfront. I paid after. We did the consult and the last thing she told me was that she no longer performs the procedures that she third-party is it out. Huh? Why is she looking for business if she cannot perform this procedure? She should've explained that to me before I even came into the office. I felt very deceived by her actions and she remove my right to choose my provider. If I wanted someone else to do it, I would've went to a different doctor. The charge was $189. She had 2 phone calls and a confirmation before initial consult to advise she cannot perform thisEndodintics procedure, but she chose not to advise me of that very important fact so I can make an informed decision. This is very, very, very unethical and deceitful. Would you go to a doctor for a specific procedure and after they're done with the consult,and of course they want to do x-rays which I refused,and at the last minute when you're walking out the door they tell you they don't even perform it! First all, I rarely write reviews, but this doctor (Farnoush Fadavi, D.M.D.) and her staff deserve a shout out, especially if you seeking a root canal specialist! She is an in-network EPO doctor through my dental insurance (Principal). This Endodontist was the epitome of the perfect root canal specialist that God sends you to show his favor. Picture being in desperate need of her specialized services 2 days before a milestone birthday. Phase 1 of the treatment takes a little more than 3 hours with CT scans, novocaine shots, possible hairline tooth fracture, and lots of drilling and x-rays. Dr. Fadavi needs to stop and pump you with 48 hours of antibiotics before resuming her superlative work. Oh no, phase 2 has to be performed on the morning of your birthday; another 3 hours, yikes! Through the entire process, including after-care, this doctor was fantastic, from tip to tail; so was Rebecca, Jill, and the entire staff! They exemplified an unprecedented demeanor that was above and beyond any dental customer service I had ever experienced in my 57 years on this earth! People hate the dentist but these folks need to be cloned! They all were reassuring, patient, gentle ... 'hold her hand', 'get her a blanket', 'she needs another blanket', 'I hate to have to use a needle on your birthday'.... ... I have never felt so much TLC in a stressed out, very vulnerable and desperate circumstance; it was like they were my instant dental family and they all sincerely had my back! The after-care instructions were easy to follow, and included the doctor's cell phone number in case there were any complications. If you are reading this review and you still want to look at others, then I say "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink". If that is the case, fair enough. But you should know that I have had 57 years of deep dive dental experiences not only with my teeth but with my children (now 26 and 28) as well as my aging parents (89 and 83). The best endodontist in town, according to our long-time dentist. My seven-year-old son was referred to Dr. Fadavi by our regular dentist for removal of a large cyst in his gum that was dangerously close to a previously fractured permanent front tooth. The procedure was a bit risky, as any compromise of the pulp near the nerve root can result in a permanently grayed tooth, requiring a lot of future work as his jaw matures. It was necessary to clean out the cyst, place a barrier to protect the nerve, and pack the space with filler. All aspects of the operation were thoroughly explained beforehand. Dr. Fadavi has an excellent demeanor with her patients, especially children. She was very gentle and reassuring to my son, and kept him (and my wife) calm throughout the whole process. The after-care instructions were easy to follow, and included the doctor's cell phone number in case there were any complications. We had none, as her work was flawless, but she called us anyway in the evening after the procedure just to be sure. Our son was back at school the next day without soreness or significant swelling! His smile looks great. Don't take chances with your kids' teeth. With dental care you want the best, not the cheapest. Dr. Fadavi's work is as good as it gets. Highest recommendation! read more

This review is not about the Dr or Services provided. Just very difficult to even get an appointment. I did a lot of research trying to find a good endodontist on my insurance in hopes they can help me with my tooth pain. Found Dr Fadavi and read good things about her. Was super excited to call and make an appointment. I've called 3 times now over the last 10+ days or so to make an appointment with no success. The only opening is at a time I have another appointment so can't make that. It would appear like the Dr is rarely in the office and doesn't provide her schedule to her staff until last minute, based on the fact each time I call, the staff doesn't have her schedule. How do you not have availability beyond a few days at a dental office? Doesn't make sense to me. Guess I'll be back to the drawing board to find someone more accessible. read more

Here's my experience with Dr Fadavi's office... My husband and I were referred to Dr Fadavi by our primary dentist for root canals. Despite the fact that we both have full coverage thru our dental insurance, the out-of-pocket charge seemed really high - a little over a thousand dollars. We paid $671 by credit card and $335 by check. A few days after the procedures were completed I was still suspicious of the high out-of-pocket charge so I called my dental insurance provider to ask them about it. They confirmed that the most Dr Fadavi was contractually allowed to charge for both procedures was $540; which meant that we were over charged by $466 - almost twice the amount! The insurance company told me that if the dentist didn't reverse the over-charge, to call them back and file a grievance. Apparently when a dental practice agrees to accept an insurance company's insurance plan, they also agree to a maximum billing amount based on the procedure, and they are not allowed to expect the patient to pay the difference. The insurance company also told me that their records show that Dr Fadavi's office received pre-approval for the procedures and knew the exact amount they were allowed to charge us before we even walked in the door. I called Dr Fadavi's office and asked for the refunds, which of course they refused. Since the credit card charge of $671 already cleared, I placed a stop payment on the $335 check and filed a grievance with my insurance company. Ultimately the insurance company agreed that we were over-charged and ordered Dr Fadavi's office to correct the error and issue a refund. Here is where I really have an issue with Dr Fadavi's business practices. Even though we only owed $540, and even though they received $671 from our credit card company, because I placed a stop payment on the $335 check, Dr Fadavi's office added a fee of $150 to our bill as a 'stop payment penalty.' They also sent that amount to a collection agency! Let's review - I owe $540, I over-pay $671 by credit card, then I over-pay an additional $335 by check, and I'm being charged $150 for placing a stop payment on a check they knew they didn't have the right to ask for. Wow! I have written Dr Fadavi and left messages for her to call me back so that we could discuss the situation, but Dr Fadavi never responded. Not only is the amount of the fee ridiculously excessive, any reasonable person or business would understand why a customer would not want to lend their dentist $466 (interest free) if they didn't owe it. Not this dentist. They believe it is their right to intentionally over charge their customers, not disclose that they are over charging, and when caught, vindictively create extra fees to make up for the refunds they were unwillingly forced to give. read more

A very nice Dental office. The work I had done was swift and professional. I was back to work the same day, experienced zero pain and felt at ease completely. Heads up! Watch out for the "Corporate" $150.00 cancellation fee policy. Advance notice of 3 business days strictly enforced. I found this out the hard way. The worst experience. It started off great with the dentist and her team being very friendly and making me feel at ease. Then the first procedure was done- all good...the final procedure 2 days later.... was not at all good. They were late on getting me into do the root canal by an hour because they couldn't get in touch with the credit card company that they were using to over charge me the $900 thaty unbeknownst to me they were overcharging. Dr Fadavi was rude, agitated, kept telling me to stop breathing during the procedure , stop moaning because I was uncomfortanble and mouth hurt from being open so long so I moaned similar to a sigh and she abruptly told me to stop again! or she wouldn't finish the procedure. It was horrible. She was so fake. I couldn't believe this was the same dr from 2 days prior. Then after the ordeal was finally over I asked for a receipt and they said NO. I was not in the mood to argue so I left and went home. the following Monday I called the office to get a receipt sent to me and again they said NO. So. at this point I decide to go above theyre heads and call the insurance directly at which point I find out that I had zero copay for the entire procedure. Eventually after dr.fadavi attempted to appeal the insurance decision twice resulting in months going by of wasted time and the 2nd part of the procedure getting done (the crowns)...oh ! I forgot to mention the best part that makes this doctor completely unethical in my opinion as if just trying to rip patients off wasn't bad enough....I first went to dr fadavi from a referral 4 months prior to actually getting the work done..the reason I had to wait the 4 months before I could end the excruciating pain I was in was because even though my insurance had approved the procedure in full with there being NO COPAY for me to come up with dr fadavi lied to me and told me the insurance would only pay for half of the cost of the procedure! and she couldn't help me until I could come up with the extra $1100 cash. It took me 4 months to do being that I am a single mom with a dead beat ex husband father that doesn't pay child support and my rent for us is almost my entire paycheck so needless to say as a result of dr fadavis lack of integrity I suffered needlessly for an extra 4 months and then faced eviction from our home when I opted to pay her over our rent....the rent was later resolved my point is this women is one cold hearted human being. I no longer trust the dental field at all, the insurance company however were awesome in resolving the problems. read more

Reading through the negative rants about Dr. Fadavi's services, I have a hard time believing we were treated by the same person. My parents both had poor dentition, and I have had a lifetime of extensive experience with dentists and endontists as a result. Dr. Fadavi is thorough, gentle, and employs excellent equipment, technique, and staff. I have received 6 root canals over the past ten years from her, without any negative consequences or pain beyond normal discomfort. The Doctor is not inexpensive, but root canals are borderline surgery, and teeth that hurt are incapacitating. Bottom line is, you get what you pay for. I would use, and certainly recommend Dr. Fadavi if you require advanced treatment for your teeth. read more

Dr Fadavi used to microscope during the procedure , and is very meticulous. she was extremely patient with me and the best part is I didn't feel anything at all. Let me start off by saying that if I could give this office less than a star, I would. And also that I specifically made a yelp account, so that I could share my horrible experience and to tell others to stay far away from Dr. Fadavi. I was referred to Dr. Fadavi by a dentist I had only seen a couple of times (not my usual family DDS) because I needed a root canal. This was 2 years ago, it cost me over $600 and was done. Well, less than a year later I started getting pain and was highly sensitive to hot and cold on that tooth where there was now a crown. The pain came and went, it was annoying but I had hoped it would just go away. After a month of two of dealing with it and it getting worse i finally went to my family dentist to have her check it out. I was informed that whoever did my root canal did not do it properly because there was still root at the bottom and that root had now become an infection and It needed to be redone asap. So, I made an appointment with Dr. Fadavi and went in to have her fix the mistake she had made. I was asked to pay $189 copay for a consultation by the receptionist which I respectfully declined because I did not need a consultation. I was then asked to come to the back of the office where Dr. Fadavi proceeded with the WORST attitude, lack of professionalism, and pure insensitivity that If i wanted to get my tooth looked at i needed to pay the $189 copay PLUS another $600 for a root canal. I was stunned, I said, "EXCUSE ME? I am NOT paying for another root canal, you need to fix what you didn't do right the first time" At this point of us arguing and me breaking down in tears over the money because I am in pain and am a student with no money and just recently finally paid off the amount for the first one. She was cold hearted and saying it was simply not her fault or her problem at all. all i could say was, "how is this not your fault?" I had the x-rays from my dentist and showed her and while she was not denying there was something wrong she was denying all responsibility. Needless to say, I left there extremely upset and totally shocked by the confrontation I had just had. She only wants your money, she does not care about her patients or her responsibility as a Dr. I fully intend to not only contact the Dental Association as well as take her to small claims to get my money back for what I originally paid for. Dr. Fadavi and her staff are wonderful. I had a very painful infection under a root canal that was done originally 9 years ago or so. I was also 36 weeks pregnant when I saw Dr. Fadavi. From the consultation where she and her staff gave me very special attention to ensure all precautions were taken for my pregnancy to the actual procedure where the same care was provided, Dr. Fadavi was spectacular.
