We hired Faros Construction to do our entire backyard for our new construction home - concrete patio, walkway, sod, irrigation, & decorative rock. Ricardo was very responsive & quick to come over & give us an accurate quote. Work began extremely quickly, which was very welcome given what I had heard from other companies regarding their timeline. Once they got started, Hugo, David, & everyone else did an excellent job of explaining what they were going to do & how they were going to do it. Once they started, they were able to get everything done surprisingly fast - it only took them a few days. They did a great job of edging, installing irrigation, pouring & stamping the concrete, hand-pouring all the decorative rock & finally installing the sod. The grass ended up looking great; you can tell it was placed very well with no awkward cuts. There were a few tiny mishaps along the way, but Ricardo was able to fairly, professionally, & swiftly take care of all of them. Overall, I'm very happy with the service Ricardo & his team were able to provide - high quality work, fast scheduling & execution, very fair prices, & solid communication throughout. We had a great experience working with Ricardo and Faros Construction on our backyard project. We had our old concrete patio replaced with a new paver patio with a built in gas fire pit. Our retaining wall was also reconstructed and extended. Ricardo was very communicative and easy to work with. I appreciated that he gave detailed responses to all of the questions I emailed to him throughout the project. He was also willing to make modifications in the plan as things moved along. He was very clear and organized with estimates and billing. The project total was over the initial estimate but changes in cost were communicated throughout the project. Ricardo coordinated all of the details to help accomplish what we wanted (moving a gas line and sprinkler heads, repositioning an ac unit, painting, etc) which made things very easy for us. The patio turned out perfectly, was exactly what we asked for/imagined, and we have received so many compliments on it. Faros Construction did a limited bathroom remodel for us in November- December 2024. The Faros team completed the project as agreed in the contract and the results met our expectations. We identified a few issues with the initial installation, and Ricardo fully resolved them for us - we appreciated his commitment to address our concerns. One observation related to scheduling and communication. Our project took about 7 weeks, from initial demo to final acceptance. The bathroom was functional/usable after 3 weeks, then the follow-up issues were resolved over the course of the next 4 weeks. This timeline was a function of contractor availability, changes in project scope and sourcing of materials (some of which were no longer available). Our project was fairly small, and we realize company resources have to be prioritized. But we felt the project timeline should have been shorter (or more clearly communicated over the course of the 7-week period). Overall, we're pleased with the work Ricardo's team did for us, and his commitment to customer satisfaction. read more

The project we were looking for a general contractor was for a very large landscaping and remodeling of exterior house/garage. We came across Faros Construction Service who became our general contractor. Ricardo was quick to respond, responsive to all our questions, inquires and ideas. We have a 3 level deck that had settled in several places. After deciding we didn't want to do this ourselves, we looked at several contractors and finally chose Faros C/S. They carefully removed the existing deck boards, which was reinstalled for the deck skirting. They removed the existing railing and reinstalled it with any damage at all. They leveled the deck frame, adding concrete footings and new joists where needed. The crew was great to work with and the quality of their work was excellent. There were a few questions that came up that were quickly addressed and resolved. We are very pleased with our "new" old deck!! As with any "rebuild" project, problems come up. The crew was very good creative problem solving and finding solutions that worked for both Faros and ourselves. Faros C/S will be our "go to" contractor for any future work!! Faros Construction just completed 2 separate jobs at our house, and they did a great job. The craftsmanship was just like the original. We had a flagstone back step that needed replacing (due to deterioration) and they recommended a lower cost option that would be more durable than the flagstone. Also, we had a pilar replaced on our back deck that had a stone base. The stone base had to be de-constructed and then put back together. Marcos and Victor did a great job and the repaired one looks just like the other ones. This is a family run business, and you can tell they take pride in what they are doing and want to do what is best for the customer. They are on my short list if I have any future repairs that they can handle. Also, I had 2 other bids for these projects and theirs was the lowest (not that you always go with the lowest) but the value they brought to the project was just outstanding. read more

Faros gave us a VERY fair estimate and kept us posted regularly while we waited for the project to start. Ricardo is very professional and sent us a written estimate and was outstanding at letting us know when the project would start. We were so pleased with his attentiveness!! A few weeks before the project started, Ricardo sent us links allowing us to select the exact stone product we wanted to use. We recently had Faros come and do a construction project on our bathroom. It was supposed to just be a wall replacement because there was some bubbling plaster, but when mold was found, we needed to gut and redo the entire thing. They were transparent, reasonable, and timely in getting the space cleaned up to where it needed to be. The end result made me so happy that we found the mold because the entire bathroom looks amazing. I couldn't be more pleased with the end result and the way in which the team worked. They replaced a window, installed a new vent fan, installed a new toilet, shower, closet, and all of the tiling and vanity as well as painting. They do it all! The entire project, encompassing excavation, soil compaction, rebar reinforcement, concrete pouring, slope creation, and leveling, was efficiently completed within a single day. I had made a bad hire the previous year to put in a built-in grill and the project was not finished. This resulted in me having an expensive grill head I bought sitting on a pallet in my garage for nearly an entire year, and a partially finished structure built to hold the grill. I signed on with Faros Construction to finish the project, and Ricardo's team had it finished in less than a week. It looks stunning. They have also put in a railing on a side of my patio that was not up to code and that looks great as well. After heavy rains this past spring, we were suddenly faced with the collapse of an old railroad tie retaining wall and fence that, it turns out, had been wrongly constructed years ago. Completely unsure how to proceed with this project, we turned to Faros Construction who not only removed the failing retaining wall, fence, and cement pad but rebuilt all three as they should have been constructed in the first place. We found all three crews delightful to deal with from beginning to end along with Ricardo, who managed the entire project.
