I've been visiting Farrelli's in Maple Valley for about a year now. I'd say I've eaten their food probably 7x in that year. Each experience has been very consistent; they have delivered each time. Quality pizzas for a fair price, I definitely wouldn't say cheap but it's ok. My family and I do enjoy our visits and look forward to more. read more

This Pizza says welcome to Maple Valley like no other. The staff is very helpful and the bar is hopping. Pizza is delivered hot and made to your liking. Extra meat, no problem, extra sauce, sure, more parm, don't mind if you do ask, it's avail. Plus they have this mana salad with chunks of meat and everything nice in it. Woo Mama!!! A small is more than enough for two. I've been here on a Wine Down Wednesday and gotten 1:2 off a bottle of wine. It was a perfect match to accompany our pizza and salad. My wife and I came in for lunch about 2pm so the place was quiet. It's a clean place with friendly staff. We each ordered a personal pizza and my wife had a cocktail while I got Raspberry lemonade. The bill came to $38 so with tip, we finished at $45 It was a reasonably good experience. Old fashioned music (Sinatra) is cliche. Mixed with jazzy songs. The place does not stand out in any way. For a pizza lunch, it was pretty pricey and honestly, my pizza was very ordinary... not worth the $12 I paid for it. My wife's whole wheat pizza was borderline burned but the toppings were good. My lemonade had Raspberry flavoring squirted into it, but no fruit. For the prices, I expect a lot more in the food and atmosphere. So three stars. read more

Seven of us showed up hungry for dinner last Saturday night. We beat the dinner rush and were seated right away. Our hostess and server were friendly and efficient. We ordered drinks and bread sticks, which arrived promptly. The bread sticks were nothing special, basically a kid size cheese pizza, ranch and marinara. We were hungry, though, and they were yummy. We'll try the fire stix or meatballs as appetizers next time. We ordered two large pizzas, James' Favorite and a perfect pepperoni. They arrived promptly, and we pretty much devoured them. The James' Favorite, with a garlic cream sauce, chicken, bacon, and sausage, was delicious and the favorite of the two. The pepperoni was good, although next time I want to try the thick cut pep. We liked the hand tossed crust, slightly blackened but not exactly crisp, with a good chew. Two large pies and the appetizer were just right for the seven of us, and we got out of there for about $10 per person. Not bad! A good value for our family and we all enjoyed the meal, so we'll be back to try more from the menu. We're glad to have this dining option in our area. read more

If you're a pizza snob, look elsewhere. The sauce is too sweet, not at all hearty or spiced well, the crust is too soft for wood-fired pizza, and the cheese is just "meh". Meat ingredients are good quality, though, and they cover up a lot of sins. Overall, it's a dismal pizza experience for the high price. Get the calzone instead if you have to eat here. The Caesar salad is simply Romaine lettuce with a prebottled sauce, precut parmesan cheese, and boxed croutons. Skip it. On to the good: the staff and the manager are very nice. It's the best bar in town, and I forgot that I was in Maple Valley for a while. They'll actually turn on the game volume for local teams on their TVs. read more

Ate here last night and both my wife and I were thoroughly underwhelmed. While the owners obviously put a lot of money into the building's design and fixtures, the food they serve is truly mediocre. We shared a caprese pizza with chicken and a (so-called) Chop-Chop salad. Let's start with the salad. My expectation of a chop salad is that it will be chopped. And when it's called a "chop-chop" I'm thinking chopped...then chopped a bit more, resulting in small bits of lettuce, cheese, chicken...and other veggies that all get a little coating of the dressing...the combination of which can be delightful. Farrelli's Chop-Chop looks like it was made by someone who's afraid of knives. In fact it looks more like a common, ordinary dinner salad...and tastes like one too. Nothing special about it. You can actually get a better, true chop salad at any Subway shop...at less than half the price! Now if I was opening a place that says, "Wood Fired Pizza" in big letters out front I would make sure that the pizzas I served were at the top of my game. Farrelli's pizzas may look pretty, if you're into pizza decorating, but they taste like they're made from the ingredients out of a military MRI package...bland, dry, nearly devoid of taste. If you've ever had a true Italian, wood-fired pizza you'll probably agree that just the thought of one can make you salivate like a Pavlovian puppy. Which makes the bland, undercooked Frisbee delivered to your table at Farrelli's a disappointment of international proportions. I'm hoping that the kitchen staff was just having an off night. And maybe another visit would change my mind. But based on last night's dinner I see no reason to return. read more

Beware of the Pizza Karen! This is branch is ruled by a tyrannical Pizza Karen (I think she calls herself Dani). My friends and I used to come here regularly. I think I've even been carded a couple of times without incident. On our latest visit, we were carded again. When you think about it, it's a bizarre practice to card thirty somethings, as all of us are obviously quite a bit older than 21. It really doesn't take extraordinary observational skills to notice that. Despite being inconvenienced by the Pizza Karen's insistence on redundancy, we obliged politely. We even made the usual jokes about looking young and being flattered. Unfortunately, the Pizza Karen doesn't like humor (or other human things) and didn't like the way my ID looked. She unilaterally declared it invalid... despite the fact that it is a valid ID. You see, it's a Montana state driver's license and Montana made the mistake of creating licenses that peel. Of course, everyone other than Pizza Karen knows that a small amount of cosmetic damage to an ID doesn't invalidate the ID but what can you say? Karen's will be Karen's. The pizza Karen misunderstood the extraordinarily limited scope of what she sees as her "authority" when she declared to my face that my ID isn't valid in the state of Washington. For a moment, I thought she might pull a Karen badge or something. She must have accidentally confused herself (an inconsequential manager of an Applebee's version of Pizza Hut) for the Governor... which sounds crazy but is totally normal for a Karen. She had the ability to scan the ID but... this will shock you... she refused. Realizing there was no value in trying to reason with a Karen, I relented and told PK that I would simply not order an alcoholic beverage. But even that wasn't enough for the Pizza Karen. Smelling blood, the Pizza Karen actually removed our entire party of thirty somethings who all had valid IDs from the bar. We were all kind of stunned. It's not every day one is confronted with that level of pettiness. To date, this was the most ridiculous thing that has ever happened to me at a restaurant. Fortunately, despite her hopes and dreams, Pizza Karen's authority doesn't extend beyond the doors we were all to happy to walk out of. Another (and better) restaurant down the road accepted my ID without a second thought and everyone had a good laugh at the pizza Karen's expense. After having read other reviews, my advice to Pizza Karen would be that she ought to invest less of her energy into chasing away patrons with embarrassing power trips and more in making sure she not serve people rotten produce. Farrelli's has become my favorite after-work spot of choice for two simple reasons - the friendly staff and the delicious food. I work in a small family-owned restaurant across the street, so we often find ourselves closing at sporadic hours, often times we are busy enough that I am unable to eat at my own job and by the time we slow down everywhere else is closed. Farrelli's opened up and I was ecstatic to discover that they are ALWAYS open until midnight Sunday through Thursday, and until 2am Friday and Saturday. A friend works as a chef there and told me I needed to come try the food, and I obliged. When I walked in I was greeted by two bartenders - Leroy and Aaron. These two gentlemen sealed my pending returns, probably to the extent that I have become a nuisance. They are kind, attentive, and hard working beyond most any other bartender in the area (aside from myself, of course haha). The guys in the kitchen whom I have had the pleasure of meeting- Cory, Raul, Christian, and Nick, all make a delicious meal. I usually come in during the late night happy hour and get the 'Fire Stix' with bacon added (per Leroy's recommendation) or the 'Focaccia Bites.' Leroy makes a killer Manhattan, and will keep you laughing all night. Come for the food/drinks, and stay for the service, or vice versa - either way you will leave feeling satisfyingly full with a huge grin on your face. read more

Shout out to Whisper and Carlos, absolutely amazing, fun people and great service. My wife and I love Farrell's it is one of our go to places for Pizza. We live in Issaquah and willingly make the drive for great food and people. I personally have enjoyed their normal crust, so cannot speak on their ability to make other types of crusts (which seems most of the 'negative reviews' are about, or take out which is always a crap shoot). However we did cut out bread for a year, and their Cauliflower crust not having cheese baked in made us regulars. While not my favorite cauliflower crust( I like cheese, my wife does not), the amount of topping options and fun pre-built options on the menu made that year almost too easy. Our order usually is the Sweet Chili Garlic wings which are to die for, they are messy though, so just be prepared to need to wash your hands if you're going to order. But they are some of the best wings I've ever had. Side salads are light, the lettuce is always fresh and never cold like it came from an ice box. The pizza is always great, and for ranch lovers they have the best ranch to dip in. I personally eat half without because the Pizza is good by itself. Avoid the bad reviews, come in on a weekday where it's not busy and enjoy yourself. read more

I am a pizza snob and there is no hiding it. I am spoiled with the amazing pizza we have up in my hood. Came to Farrelli's to celebrate mom's birthday. Busy on a Saturday night but that is to be expected. Service SUCKED. We were seated quickly but not acknowledged after that for at least 10-15 mins. No drink orders, no water, nothing. Finally a guy came over and asked if we had been helped, ummm no. So he took our food and drink order because at that point we were ready. Took him another 10 mins to get a beer, 3 sodas and a tea. WTF. Pizza was good, not the best, but not horrible. Salad was okay. We got dessert too and that was pretty good. I don't know that I would come back based off the service. When did Maple Valley get so many people?! I grew up there and remember when there was nothing out there!!! HOLY MOSES. read more

The pizza at Farrelli's is fantastic! This place is quickly becoming the go-to for my family get togethers. Even my husband who is a bit of a pizza snob likes it a lot - and he grew up in Monterey near the best pizza place ever, apparently. (I've tried that place, too. I think Farrelli's is better!) Let's take it from the top: the toppings. These guys have lots of great toppings from fresh mozzarella to real pepperoni, as well as great combos. The "Perfect Pepperoni" really is perfect. I'm pretty sure I ate about 5 slices last night... Next: the sauce. In my opinion, it's the sauce that really makes or breaks a pizza. Most places use for too little stuff straight from a can. Blech. Not Farrelli's. You can tell that their sauce is house made with fresh ingredients. And they use the perfect amount - not so much that your topping are sliding around, but not so little that all you get is a mouthful of cheese or dough. Speaking of dough: the crust. I love wood fired pizza. Little bubbles of charred goodness here and there. Crust that's not too thick that you need to join Adkins for a week just to offset it, or so thin that you may as well be eating cardboard. (Does anyone out there make a tasty thin crust? Just the crust. I've had a few tasty thin crust pizzas, but it was all due to the toppings. They may as well have put the toppings on a saltine. But I digress.) The bread sticks and cheesy foccacia are great starters. As are the boneless wings. I've also had the spaghetti and meatballs here and they were delicious. Stopped in today to grab a beer and a calzone. The bar was nice, plenty of TV's to watch, and the beer selection is decent. Overall, it's a little on the expensive side, but not too bad. Also the service from the waitress was great. The calzone I ordered was a different story. Don't get me wrong, they used ingredients that tasted ok, not the best I ever had, but not bad. Whoever put it together and cooked it however, has either never seen a calzone , or didn't give a damn about what they were doing. The ground sausage was still in the shape of the ice-cream scooper/spoon and the pepperoni was all stuck together like it was taken straight from packaging and tossed on top of everything.The dough was thick and burned on the bottom and paper thin and tearing apart on top. There were a solid 3 inches on the front that were nothing but pressed and mangled dough. It was edible, but it was ugly. I've eaten a lot of weird shit, it's really surprised me that someone could take, what is basically a pizza folded in half, and make it look this unappetizing. It wasn't busy or anything. Honestly, I was left wondering if the guys making the food had made a bet on whether or not I'd eat this developmentally disabled, messed up looking calzone. Challenge accepted motherf**kers. I know shit probably gets crazy in that kitchen sometimes, but if you take the extra 10 or 15 seconds to make it look good, I bet everyone would enjoy their experience a lot more. My overall impression is that if I'm looking for convenience, I might come here. If I want quality, I'll head to Black Diamond Pizza and Deli, or The Rock in Covington. read more

Yummy pizza! Tons of options. My wife and I went to lunch and had starter salads and a 12" pizza. Bill was $26. Not too bad of a deal but not a bargain. It had very tasty fresh pizza ingredients though. Great chewy hand tossed crust. The man throwing the pies know what he's doing! The bar was nice looking. Something for everyone. The Raspberry salad looked good, but our friend choose the smaller of the two options which turned out to be about the size of a side salad not big enough for dinner alone. She said it tasted delicious though. We ordered the 'Fire Stix' which turns out to be their breadsticks which they lack to mention on the menu...we assumed they were jalapeño poppers or similar. They where good but probably won't order again (too much bread with those plus pizza). Now on to the pizza. We ordered the 'James Favorite'. The flavor was good - not overpowering. Great fennel flavor to the sausage. The 16" was plenty big for us to share and have some to tale home. We appreciated that the music/tv wasn't too loud, so we could still have a conversation (which is something we don't really like about The Rock). Absolutely disgusting. Not sure about the pizza, but the salads are absolutely gross. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Pineapple and my wife ordered the Chop Chop salad, First of all you would think that a salad called "Chop Chop" would be more of a "chopped salad". The lettuce was cut exactly like any other salad. Chick on both had no taste, did not seem roasted, more like it was boiled ahead of time. The "caramelized onions" may have been caramelized at one point in time, but were a utterly disgusting grey cold mush. I did try to pick it out and just eat the salad, but the taste was everywhere. I do not know if that "point in time" was a day or a week ahead of it being served to us. We set the salads aside and just wound up eating the appetizer (all of which were served at the same time). And even that, the "Signature Crab & Artichoke Dip", was not stellar. It was a mash of something. Could not taste the crab, and there was barely any artichoke. The bread was the best part of the meal. This is the second time that I have been here, and the only good thing I have seen so far were fast seating, and the fireplace that we ate at. Other than that, their Pizza must be stellar, because everything else I have had here was probably some of the worse restaurant food I have ever eaten. When we did mention this to the waiter/bar keep and asked to see the manager on duty, he just said; "Oh that's great ... please sign here'. We were so fed up, we just left. read more

The last few times I've been here have not been at peak hours. On both occasions, my dad and I sat in the bar. Both times, we had the same waitress, although I can't remember her name. The service took way too long on both times. The first, we ordered a plate of nachos that we watched sit out for nearly 10 minutes before they were brought over to us. I'm sure they would've been much better had they actually been hot when we received them. The second, I ordered a drink, I think it was something like "The Hypnotist" or something, and I didn't see her start to make it until nearly 5 minutes after my parents received their drinks. I'm not sure if we just had the unfortunate chance of getting her on her off-day twice, or what. But if I can, I'll probably be avoiding Farrelli's based on these two experiences. read more

So I've been back twice since my last review. The food is delicious. The added bonus is it's the only place in maple valley that serves food later in the evening after everything is shut down. Price and quality is appropriate. The staff is pleasant enough but still doesn't seem interested in being here. I'm just thankful there is something available during the evening time that's good quality and not fast food or a limited menu. I have mixed feelings about this place. 1st time was in the bar and enjoyed it! Bartender was well mannered and knowledgeable about the menu. 2nd time in the hostess (with fake red hair and fake tan) had trouble figuring out the difference between a table and a booth. After getting it wrong and taking back out to the lobby to wait she proceeded to seat us at a soaking wet table. We asked if it could be dried off and she tossed some napkins down on the table and walked away. Not impressed! read more
