This place used to be good until about 9/2025, now it's terrible. The staff is lazy- uses a dremel to remove regular polish. Despite me saying no, my nail was thinned down during the dremel and cracked very deeply ( big toe) the next day. They also ruined my sandals with polish. read more

I have been going here for 15 years, been through 3 owners and never had problems until now. My nails are bumpy and odd shaped and look awful. I paid $125 for a pedi and a nail fill. Today was terrible. They are getting worse and in such a hurry for the price you pay. read more

came here to get a classic French tip almond shape couldn't even do that correctly. I don't know if she was still a learner but they came out HORRIBLE I don't do nails and I could tell it was wrong the shapes were all different and she kept putting so many layers on of the base looked very bad and not only that they fell off after like 2 weeks and there was chipping on the sides and I dont do any hard work and she charged me $70 dollars absolutely NOT WORTH it. took her 3 hours just to do a classic French tip and they looked HORRIBLE save your time and money go somewhere better read more

Trying to find an open nail salon on Labor Day was harder than I though, but was glad to find this place. Called and able to be seen right away. My SIL and I needed some nail therapy while I was visiting. I'm a little picky but I was pleased as to how the shape My SIL technician was very friendly and accommodating for when she need to attend to the baby in his carrier for a few seconds. Mine wasn't as pleased when I took my turns. Also she burned my nail bed when using the dremmel and cut my cuticules ( bleeding). It's two weeks later and they are already coming off. But I absolutely love the shape- surprisingly that means more. read more

What is going on in the world? You go into a nail spa to relax and get a pedicure. They charge $50 for the "deluxe" pedicure and then they tell you "extra $15 for gel (the hard cost for gel polish is about $2.00 a bottle) extra $5 to remove gel (how would they do a pedicure if they don't remove the old polish? ) They cattle drive you through, they switch nail techs in the middle whenever they want to suit their needs. If you question why the ridiculous prices they give you more attitude and rush you through even faster. I'm done being taking advantage of and being treated rudely because you ask why they raised the price so high. I won't come back here. There are to many nail spas in the area that treat you better. read more

One of the worst manicures I've ever gotten. "This will be prettier for you" is all they would say when they changed my polish color without asking before applying. When I said I didn't want gel they got upset and half assed the rest of the manicure and pedicure. They put on a matte top coat instead of standard gloss without asking, and less than 24 hours later they look disgusting! Streaky and discolored because they used a matte top coat, and bad attitude in the store. Very disappointing, do not recommend. read more

The experience I had at this salon today was awful. I walked in the door and it seemed as a technician was having a heated conversation with a client he was doing a pedicure on. Once he was finished, he proceeded to work on my nails. He was talking loudly in another language to the other technicians as if in an heated discussion. He got up and went outside to talk to previous costumers. When he came back to work on me, I asked him if he was mad. He said, "No and I should say I was sorry." I would have gotten up then and walked out but he had already started on my nails. He then told me he was teaching me a lesson today. Popcorn said, "The lesson you are learning is that when you get mad you get sick." He also said I made everyone get quiet. I went in this salon expecting a pleasant experience. I felt like I was trapped and in a nightmare. I really should have just gotten up and walked out with part of my nails completed. Live and learn..... I will never go back to this salon, nor would I recommend it to anyone. read more

May 2019 - New owners make all the difference in your experience at Fashion Nails. I have been there twice since the new owners took over the salon. Because of the negative reviews I read on Yelp, I was at first hesitant to go. However, a friend of mine had a very good experience with the new owners and staff and encouraged me to go. I am very glad I did. I was pleased with the way my nails looked when finished as well as with the friendliness and courteousness of the staff and owners. I usually go here to get my nails done, and I usually get good service. Yesterday I had my nails done and it was awfullll. The woman was video chatting with a friend the whole time and rarely looked down at my nails. The french manicure was crooked, and she cut my finger twice. Parts of the nails are cloudy and bumpy. Worst nail salon I've ever been to (and I've been to MANY). The first nail technician I got was very inexperienced...she cut the nail beneath my skin as she was cutting my nail. I then requested a new technician who was much better, thankfully. At the end when I was drying my nails, I noticed the nail polish was on my finger in a few different spots so I asked the lady (I believe the manager) if she could just take some nail polish remover and fix it. She commented that she "couldn't see anything and didn't know what I was talking about" and shoved the nail polish remover at me. I told her I couldn't do it without messing up my nails so she called the nail technician over to fix it and commented that I was being "too picky"...I replied that "when I am paying good money for a service, I do expect it to be perfect" and she commented then that it had already "been perfect". Clearly not.... Terrible customer service and I do not recommend this place to anyone. Try TV Nail Spa on Rockwood (closeby) if you are looking for a much better nail salon that is clean and has better customer service. read more

I have been having my nails done for 20+years and this is one of those shops I have read about with so many horror stories. Being in a new city, I failed to read customer reviews and fell prey to the convience of location. Got a new set of gel nails...completely popping off the next day!!! I had at least 4 people just trying to understand that I wanted a glitter polish over the flat color! Only english word I heard was "sorry"....I won't even go back there to have them fix this mess...I am going to another shop to have it all redone!!! Gel nails + pedicure = $95 WASTED. NOW I have to turn around and pay even more money to have this redone. read more

Today I came in and sat in the pedicure chair for 25 minutes while no one paid the least bit of attention to me. 2 other customers came in after me and both were served before me. I finally got up and walked out. When I later called to explain what had happened, the woman with whom I spoke completely ignored what I said (not even an appology!) and only wanted to schedule an appointment for me. Terrible experience. Went in for simple manicure and came out with 4 split nails and two bleeding cuticles. Was first person in door, however, as other customers came in, the manager "Kim" took over from my very gentle manicurist and sent her off to do a pedicure. As the place grew busier, she became rushed and roughly went to town on my nails. She used the wrong polish and tried to tell me that the polish she chose, "looked better". When I complained, she became much rougher. Needless to say, I will never go back. My nails are split and tender and the french tip polish chipped within hours. To top it all off, "Kim" asked it I wanted a eyebrow wax. I asked "do I need my brows waxed?" and she said they "looked terrible". I then preceded to tell her that just thirty minutes before walking into Fashion Nails at 229 Airport Rd. My very experience hair stylist had just waxed my brows. Fashion Nails is a waste of time, money, and cuticle health. Sure, they'll get you in quickly, but you are trapped once there. I will NEVER go back. No STARS should have been my rating. read more
