My car had a dent on the rear hatch I needed repaired I contacted fast bumper and body to do the repair as you can see from the pictures, the dent is gone but the color an quality of the paint is terrible. I told Mr. Serramonte that since he only did have the job well and I half already paid half, I wasn't going to pay for the paint. he then got very irate and began cursing and accusing me of wanting to rob him. He refused to give me my car keys back. At this point I had to call the police who showed up and tried to resolve the conflict. The business owner continued to refused to handover the car keys He claimed he had done a quality job, but just look at the pictures they speak for themselves. The police left with no resolution at the end I had to pay up the full price just to get my car keys returned. stay away from this business save your money and look to other actual professionals that do quality work. The business owner also spends time on yelp claiming that bad reviews are fake but again just look at the pictures. The paint does not match. It was spray-painted on top of original paint and caused additional damage to original paint and to body side panels of the car from overspray, the rear camera and sensors were also covered in paint. This was most likely caused by him not masking off solely the area that needed repair the rear window and rear lights also have paint stuck on them again from him not masking off the are for repair. the money you save is definitely not worth it. Extremely poor quality. After he fix the dent, he claimed that a small blemish had remained on the paint that had to be fixed but later the same day he texted me saying that while fixing a small blemish, he actually ended up painting the entire hatch as you can tell from the pictures him fixing a small blemish and painting the whole hatch actually caused damage to original paint since new paint was sprayed on top of original clear coat. Mr Don Serramonte (the business owner) offered to fix it, but after seeing what he did "fixing a blemish" I was hesitant to let him continue working on the vehicle because every attempt at fixing it made it worse. Now I will have to spend even more money to have a professional fix the messed up paint. The money saved is definitely not worth the poor quality and the rudeness from the business owner. This business owner spends time on here, claiming that bad reviews are fake but after dealing with him I would bet that it's the good reviews that are the actual fakes UPDATE: ended up taking my car to a different location to get an estimate on the repair for the awful paint that fast bumper and body did. The other auto body shop was left with their mouth open when they looked at the car , they immediately noticed the overspray on the roof and side of the car, caused by Mr Serramonte not covering the rest of the car while painting the hatch/liftgate. I was told that the paint looks caked on more that likely because Mr Serramonte kept trying to match the paint and just kept applying paint over the factory paint and clear coat. Mr. Serramonte can claim that he does quality work but again look at the pictures every attempt he made at fixing it just made it worse, he claims that I rush him but I ended up giving him two additional days than what he claimed he need to complete the job. UPDATE 2: He is extremely unprofessional just look at the replies he gives to the reviews he doesn't agree with. The car he attempted to repair is my wife's car and when I mentioned to him that she was never going to approve of the awful job he did he comes on here to spread lies and rude comments about my wife being evil and that she beats me, WTF. I also forgot to mention that the other body shop also told me that the hatch/liftgate needs to be stripped to bear metal or possibly just buy a whole new hatch/ liftgate just to fix the "paint and repairs" that Mr Serramonte did. Think long and hard Before you give Fast bumper & body and Mr. Serramonte any of your hard earned money, I can guarantee you will more than likely end up regretting it. read more

Don totally failed the task, he was behaved rude "dropping f-words on your CLIENT" and unprofessional. We tried to get some of the money back for the bad service, but he declined it. 1. The area where the crack was is uneven; the bumper's shape has not been restored correctly. 2. The surface is poorly prepared for further painting. The surface should be uniformly matte before painting. Otherwise, the paint will peel off after the first car wash. 3. The fog light cover was not taped properly, so now it has paint marks, and it's not correctly inserted. 4. Dust particles, dirt and sandpaper scratches in the paint layer that got in both during and after painting the bumper. In any case, the cause of this defect is failure to maintain cleanliness in the work area, or the use of paint that does not meet the painting conditions and poor preparation before painting. 5. I haven't even checked how the bumper was restored yet; perhaps you just fixed it with filler. The bumper should be welded according to the instructions. These are basic things that a professional should know and understand. Check the painting technology from 3M. It's impossible to paint only half now; the bumper must be completely repainted to restore the color now. After such a repair, we don't trust that he can restore the bumper. read more

I wish I would have checked with yelp before I hired this unique one of a kind man!!! You can clearly see that all these comments have the same analysis of this man and his work n hope we're all not liars here or is Mr Don a tad delusional??! I hired him to do some work on a boat I own as it was not in the best shape when Don worked on it so I gave him the benefit seeing all his runs in the paint and burns etc that he left when finishing it. I just hired him a second time for a hot rod I own to paint the fenders all the way around and I just got it back and there are runs in the paint and places where he did not even cover all the primer he painted with lots of swirls thru out the paint. He made me pay him half down before starting it and pay the balance before he would let me see it and I refused and went down there to see the terrible job he did and he refused to fix it also. he told me to pay the balance or he was going to charge me 50.00 per day storage fees and refused to finish it also. The guy lives at his work and uses plastic for a paint booth. Extremely difficult to work with and thinks everyone is out to get him as he is the one taking advantage of people... I came across Don's business just driving along El Camino. I have a Honda civic that I plan go drive for a couple more years and wanted it to be in the best shape possible. It had several scrapes and dents but my main priority was to get the front and back bumper cleaned up. I stopped by the shop and he quoted me a decent price. He said to bring my car in the next day if possible, he would take at most a day or two. It was a long weekend so I took it in on Saturday and by Tuesday it was ready to go. Did it look brand new? This guy gets high off drugs! I let him convince me he was a pro and gave him the job of fixing a dent in my car. Unfortunately the damage area he said needed to be repaint and clear. He used an aresol can and the clear gun dried into an orange peel. Make matters worst he didn't want to wait for it to dry, and was demanding I pay him in full. Luckily i made him wait, and that when I noticed the job was incomplete. He tried getting aggressive that I pay him in full and he will continue the job the next day. WTF. I contacted Fast Bumper & Body during the first week of November, 2020 because it offered mobile car paint services. (I dinged the bumper of my virtually pristine 2017 Audi A3 e-tron on a concrete parking stop.) Don, the owner, quoted me a price which I accepted without haggling. He came to my office and did the repair and paint work. When finished, he showed me some additional paint damage, which was in a very odd location but I agreed to have him comeback to fix it, at an additional price, of course. Don came by a second time to make more repairs and I paid him in cash as he requested. I sent Don a text asking him to return to polish the bumper because it didn't look very good to me. He failed to respond to my texts. I just had a detail service pick up my car today (November 31, 2020) that I've used for 25 years. Did a great job fixing the bumper on my old truck which was slanted down and I didn't even have to leave my home. My bumper was difficult to repair since it was metal and the bolts were all rusted but he was able to fix the bumper so that I did not need to replace it.
