I had such a great experience today! I accidentally ran over a construction cone, and it popped my front bumper off on one side. As somebody who is relatively inexperienced with cars and has been taken advantage of in the past because of this, I was cautious when seeking an auto repair service to fix a dent in the bumper of my car. I had a very positive experience working with Sun, the owner of Fairgrounds Collision Center. After quoting me on the cost of repairs, he clearly communicated the process with me and eased my apprehensions. He was extremely patient and accommodating throughout the process, answering my questions and trying his best to meet all my needs. After visiting his shop and getting an initial quote and timeline, he didn't pressure me to follow through with the service. I set up an appointment to drop off the car later that day and he immediately ordered the replacement part needed and let me know as soon as the part arrived. He also knew that I was anxious to be without a car (he had told me he would probably need about two days to fix the bumper and that the earliest I could pick up the car was the next day around lunch) and I was able to pick up the car the morning after I dropped it off. He did a wonderful job with the repair and I wasn't charged extra for the expedited process. I hope that I will not need any more auto repairs in the near future, but if I ever do I would absolutely trust Sun to help me out and I would recommend Sun and Fairground Collisions to anybody who needs a quality repair job! read more

Sun was really helpful in walking me through the process, setting the expectations and providing an estimate for my insurance. I had just returned from a business trip on Sunday and despite the shop being closed, Sun took the time out of his weekend to meet with me on Sunday to pick up my car. Workmanship: The workmanship is good (see photos) and I couldn't tell if there was any collision damage before. If I can give this place 100 Stars I would. A surfboard flew off a camper van and hit my passenger side mirror, it completely broke off and I had a huge dent on my passenger door from the mirror. Due to my situation the guy who did it paid out of pocket and Sun made the process SO EASY!!! he was very communicative and answered all my questions. The turnaround was also AWESOME just a couple days and my car was ready. This is hands down the BEST place to come take your car. They are VERY trust worthy here and not about the money, I'm a female and they didn't try to upsale me anything. This is a long overdue review, but very well deserved. TLDR; I highly recommend Fairgrounds Collision Center. Sun, the owner, is honest, straightforward, and easy to work with. Also, they have unbeatable prices. Pros: - Great pricing, I only paid $250 out of pocket to replace and repaint my car door. - Sun is easy to work with, communicates via text, keeps you up to date. - They provide a written lifetime warranty on all things related to their paint and labor. - They were patient with me and my requests: they got me an OED door even though my insurance company didn't cover for a new door. Cons: - If you're in a hurry, it does take a little longer to go through them. I had a few places quote me 3 days and Fairground quoted ~1 week. It ended up taking longer (~10 days) because the new part came in damaged, so he had to order a new one. I came to Sun in October after a hit and run incident. Sun walked me through the damages and gave a quick estimate. He recommended I get my door replaced and I would need to repaint the door. He explained his techniques, why new parts were recommended, what the process would be, the type of material he used, etc. After going to 4 other repair shops, I decided to go with Fairgrounds because: 1. His quote was cheapest by far. Sun quoted me ~3k (including a new door) and he gave me a discount on my deductible. All others were quoting ~3 - 3.5K with no guarantee of a new door. 2. His lifetime warranty covers all labor and paint. Some places don't do lifetime warranties or only covers paint for a certain number of years and have specific requirements for coverage. 3. Sun made me feel comfortable, answered all my questions, and was easy to work with. Some places didn't spend time explaining anything to me. At the end, I got my car back looking completely new. He even fixed my bumper for free! I had a broken plastic bumper that would have cost ~$300 to fix and he fixed it at no charge without me even asking. Cherry on top, he cleaned my car (interior and exterior). I had a great experience with him and highly recommend him to everyone. read more

I went to Costco on Raleigh Road in San Jose this morning. When I came back out, I found the right side of my car was scratched badly. I was too upset and I didn't know what to do.Another pulled in and the lady was very nice, sht asked if I needed help to fix it and she recommended Fairgrounds Collision. I called and got in to see the owner Sun, he took a look and asked one of his mechanics to look at it, he told me that person specialized in fixing scratches.   It was fixed in no time and he showed me one spot had a dent but didn't show. I can't even see the scratches anymore. Everyone in the shop was very nice and polite. Sun would not take my pay, he said the lady who called him was a long term coustomer and so it was a courtesy call, he refused to take any payment. Recently, my car was in an accident only damaging the front with a few minor imperfections. I called the center and was greeted by Sun. He was super friendly, asked for the claim informations then asked if I needed to tow the vehicle, and confirmed. Due to my car being discontinued aftermarket parts were hard to find so he had to wait on the dealership to send the parts in. The estimated time took about 2 1/2 weeks. My was looking better than ever, they even polished one of my foggy headlights from the collision. Everything working great too, paint matched the car perfectly, there wasnt any errors made or any noticeable gaps. They even offered me to come back and fix one of my mirrors that wasnt apart of the accident for free. (Still waiting on that call) Now, I did notice a few days later than the interior on the driver window side had paint from the paint job done, assuming that they didnt properly uninstall the door or painted in a controlled environment. One last thing was that there was another air filter near the bumper that did not get replaced with a new part either. I left the air filter remains from the accident in the trunk and was probably overlook. read more

I had a small dent on the body of my car behind the plastic bumper. It was small enough that at a glance you can't see it, but it was a good enough size to cause some misalignment of my bumper. Some body shops shrugged me off because it seemed insignificant, but Sun was willing to work with me to find a fix. He was very kind, responsive, honest, and respectful of me and my car. As a woman, I think there is sometimes a tendency of being taken advantage of when it comes to cars, but I did not get those vibes from Sun at all. He took the time to explain to me the reasons behind the possible options, as well as educate me on the possible consequences of my car's dent. He also inspected my car free of charge (which involved taking my bumper off and looking inside), while some shops wanted to charge me upwards of $100 for just that.
