I needed a repair after a collision with a bus which took off my bumper. It took a day for an estimate and an additional four days for parts to arrive. Upon inspection of my car, they found further damage from the collision and were able to get the revised estimate and the new parts in quickly. With the additional parts and labor, the repair took about a week for completion. The new bumper that was attached looks literally like new! The repair & painting work is awesome and fast! Recommended! My car hit the curb when I made a right turn. The rocker panel on the right side was scratched badly and also a little mis-aligned with the body. I left my car in Minh's on Thur morning, and just in half hour after I left, Minh called and sent me pictures to explain what exactly went wrong inside the panel and how they would fix it. They promised the fix might take 2-3 days, actually I received the msg just on the next morning saying my car was ready for pick-up. And surprisingly, the fix was so perfect that the hit was like never happened before! Besides, the cost was also fair. **Updated June 11, 2012** So, I wanted to give an update and provide some additional feedback. Thai and Minh contacted me and they wanted to redo my bumper. They took my car in once again. This time..the bumper came out perfect!! Color matched in the Sun Ray UV light paint looks awesome and I couldn't be much more happier!! But when Minh talked to me about color matching, wet sanding and 24+ years experience I was excited...then A week and half goes by talked over about some other modifications in regards to the bumper not fitting well etc. Picked up the car early in the morning and was sort of disappointed on my front body kit color not matching the rest of the car. Everything else matched, including my new aftermarket spoiler and the repainted hatch and rear bumper. I said "The Front kit paint is clearly off by comparison to the hood and fender". He then shows me this PPG poster of why some bumpers don't match and told me to read and goes to explain that Metal color will not match plastic its like that all over the place even car manufactures and says ok pay now pretty busy. I told him the poster says "PPG claims to color match as their paint is superior". He then reminds himself or remembers that my rear bumper was missing some screw fasteners only for him not to remember where he put it and only fastens one end. I went to OSH/Home Depot to find a similar size and style. Look the other guys there paint exceptionally well (Ho and I can't remember the other guy working on the latest generation Blue Mustang which was being color sanded on the right side) and I can tell they wanted to just take my car just by the way they looked at me and shook their heads and continued with their business. Minh either had two bad weeks due to the backlog of cars or wasn't really into my car. I am going to live with my car (imperfections and all) for now as it does makes me smile. Maybe I was expecting more from a man who talked heavily with pride and passion? Maybe it was all the insurance car work that was there and it made him and the crew tired and burnt out? Maybe I need the whole car re-painted? Maybe...just maybe Thai I am being honest so please don't get offended! TL;DR Their work is legit. Fixed freak tree stump accident. So wow! Amaze! Much happy! Get an estimate from them! Believe in the ratings this body shop has, THEIR WORK IS LEGIT!! I got several quotes for a FREAK TREE STUMP ACCIDENT (I reversed up a hill in a tiny dark paved parking lot, like TINY TINY, I couldn't turn around without making a three point, but on the way down I skipped over a short tree stump and came down on top of it's lip leaving a v-shaped indentation underneath my driver door about an inch wide and 3/4" tall), but both places recommended I replace the entire door since the internal frame was slightly cracked... For my own reasons, I was paying out of pocket so I had to consider my situation. If I had all the money or insurance to cover most, sure, replace it, I'll gladly shell out all the monies and pay for the new door... and paint job for it... as well as a graduated spray off on the front fender and the back door to blend the newly painted door... Or I can pay a faction of the price at a very competitive price to have it banged out and spot treated. I weighed out the consequences of leaving a tiny 1" crack and went with the latter but boy am I glad I did. IMMACULATE. You can't even tell there was anything damage done and only when you run your fingers along it will you feel where it was patched up, but that's to be expected. But the paint job was spot on and I literally saved so much cash going to them. Do yourself a favor. Get the estimate from them and consider. You'll be glad you did. They don't try to tack on additional fees or do extra work which isn't necessary. $450 for a 2005 prius bumper repair. The bumper was dented; they removed it, fixed the dent, repainted it and added a new grill for $58.00 $1300 for 2014 new prius front bumper damaged in a hiway collision with a garbage can + light. I took my beat up Honda Accord into Minh's. Note that it had multiple damages on it from multiple accidents - both times i failed to fix it and lagged on even considering a repair. I had significant trunk, rear bumper, and front bumper damages. I yelped Minh's a couple weeks back and noticed that they had a solid review and resume on yelp. Before going straight to Minh's, I went to a couple other well known body shops. All of them were extremely overpriced and seemed to me like they didn't really care whether they got my business or not (like they were not the actual stakeholders or owners I was working with so they seemed to have a "when is my shift over and when can i clock out" mentality). So after a couple epic fails i went to Minh's. I probably should have saved some valuable time and went to Minh's to begin with. Friendly The assistant manager was honest and friendly and seemed to actually care about my damages. I also worked with Minh who seemed like he had many many years of experience. Turns out it is somewhere around 30 some years. Minh was a friendly and funny guy also who gave me honest pricing and was willing to go through insurance or oop. The price was significantly lower than the other body shops and actually included friendly service. The assistant manager even made sure that i had gotten their best rental rate from Hertz when i left my car there. Timely Minh told me that he wanted to do an exceptional job on the car so he asked me two give him a week. I had no problem at all with that timeline. Turns out the assistant manager called me in five days and said it was good to go! Honest The vibe i got from this place was honesty and fair business practices. I told them if i knew any friends with car or paint damage i would recommend them and i really will. Overall Overall, the body and paint work was exceptional. My car looks like its brand new even though it is from 2003. The repair work was of extremely high quality. Minh did a great job with my car! I have a blue wrx wagon. My father got into an accident with my car and my hood wouldn't close and messed up my fog lights. I first brought the car as-is to Minh to ask if he can fix it. Unfortunately, the hood was not fixable. He offered to help me buy an OEM hood and paint it for me. I was stubborn and wanted to get another used hood already with OEM rally blue paint. I just didn't want to get anything repainted. I found a JDM site in Sacramento where I was able to get the front STI body that came from a rally blue car in my year. Huzzah! Then I went to pick it up and it had the most annoying dent on the front end center. But I sucked it up and bought it anyway because at least this hood would close and I could stop driving my car with the fear the hood would snap open and crash into my windshield. Minh replaced my car with the new sti fenders, bumper and hood. Then the OCD me couldn't take it. The dent was too annoying and the fenders also didn't have the best paint so I caved and asked him to fix the dent and paint the hood and fenders. I was nervous on how he would be able to color match but he assured me, "I'll do a great job and your car will look nice." When I came to pick up my car it was FIONE as hell! So nice. Minh did a great job with fixing the dent and painting the hood and fender. It blended flawlessly with the rest of my car. This car is over 10 years mind you. He took care of my Honda on repainting the trunk lid due to a known factory paint defect, and also did some repairing on the bumper. His price is half than what a few other body shops quoted. I found this place through Yelp and it had the most reviews so it was definitely on my list of places to check out after I got into a hit and run accident that mangled the entire rear of my car. I emailed them with pictures of the damage and they gave me a special deal which is an understatement because the rest of the places quoted me more than double what they gave me. Thai was very friendly and his father accommodated to my needs with such hospitality and care. A week later, I get the car back and looks even better than before the accident. I took my 99 2.5RS here a few weeks ago to get some paint & body work done. The work was all purely cosmetic, no collision work. Had basically the whole front end repainted and some light damage on the hood repaired. After I dropped the car off on a Monday they had it ready for me by Saturday, went back the following Monday to pick it up. They did a great job repairing the dent on the hood and the quality of the paint looked awesome! After giving the car a wash however, I did notice a couple areas on the paint with some imperfections (peeled clearcoat on door & new paint got dripped on the rear quarter somehow). I called them back right away to let them know what I had found. Thai told me to bring them the car and they would take care of it. Dropped the car off a second time and had it back a couple days later with all the problem areas fixed with no additional charge to me. Overall, Minh's gave me a very competitive quote compared to a few other shops I visited in the area. One particular shop I went to on the peninsula for an estimate quoted me almost DOUBLE what Minh's quoted me! I felt that Minh's was a very good value but also produced quality work at the same time. Short version - transparent, affordable, fast, and perfect work. Never thought you'd get all of those things in a body shop. Highly recommend. Longer - My car was totaled. My first few quotes were around $10-11k. A friend referred me to Minh after he found him on yelp and had a great experience, so I decided to check them out. I showed up without calling, owner looked at my car, took a few notes, then went back in. Within 10 min he came out with a quote that was less than 1/3 of all the others. If I didnt see his work on my friends car, I wouldnt believe it could be quality body work AND cheap. But on top of my friends camry I saw a ferrari and maserati in the shop so I figured if these guys can trust Minh, my sonata will be fine. Best decision I made. They kept to their price and timeline with no sneaky crap and the car legitimately looks better than new. I didnt understand how he did such good work at that price, so I flat out asked him why he was so much cheaper. Turns out they try to keep costs down for customers by working with salvage yards to find clean used parts. Most body shops wont do that and that drives up costs significantly. Also his workers are efficient so the labor bill was lower. All in all, Ive had terrible experiences with body shops and always feel cheated. This was an honest hardworking guy who clearly has been doing this for decades and doesnt spend money on a fancy office or marketing - he just does perfect car body work and depends on word of mouth to generate business. If youre about to spend $$ on repairs, do yourself a favor and get a quote from Minh before you overpay with someone else. You cant beat the quality of his work. I had the rear bumper on my Nissan repair a few years ago and the repair/color match was spot on! I kept the car for about 5 years after the repair and the paint never faded deteriorated.
