Our first experience with Fast Fix in Palm Desert was to have a wedding band re-sized. This band has an intricate design and they were able to resize without messing up the design. It was done in 90 minutes! Very pleased. Have been back several times to have other rings resized. They fit perfectly. Now they're going to take a diamond out of a ladie's ring and put it in a man's setting. Will refer anyone to this store. They're great! read more

Awful! Brought my necklace in to have the chain repaired and they replaced the chain and clasp. Also necklace was one length and they replaced it with a chain that was 5 Inches longer. Manager is a nightmare hostile woman! Owner even worse. I filed a complaint with the BBB and he claimed when necklaces are repaired they stretch !!! If I didn't have a life I would stand in front of the store everyday warning people not to bring their jewelry here. They flat out denied any wrong doing and I am looking into taking legal action! They are thieves in my opinion!! Stay away!!! read more

I took two different watches in to have the batteries replace. I was quoted $39.99 for one watch and $19.99 for the second watch. I have never paid that much to replace a battery in a watch in my life time, so ... I so no "thank you" and walked out of the store. I walked directly across the hall there in the Mall and went to "The Exchange". The have a nice young man there who replaced both of the batteries in my watches for a total of $20.00 and did it while I waited. read more

My Fiancé and I took my engagement ring to get resized just a few weeks ago. They charged us 160 dollars and did the work worth half that price. When I went to pick it up myself, I examined the ring and noticed one of the small diamonds on the band was missing. I pointed it out and he told me to give him 30 minutes to fix it. When he gave it back to me, it looked as if the diamond sat just a bit higher then it should've been but I didn't think much of it. About a week an a half later, my Fiancé and I were looking at the ring and noticed again the very same diamond that was missing fell out again. We took it in the same day, and one of the men asked "why didn't you bring it back if you noticed the diamond was sitting too high". We were NOT happy with that. We are not professional jewelers. YOU should have noticed it before giving it back to me after I told you there was a diamond missing. I would also like to add that the solder he used didn't match my band which is rose gold. But it is not super noticeable unless you really look at it. My ring is beautiful regardless but my Fiancé and I were not happy with the way we were treated and how much we had to spend considering they didn't do a great job. I took my watch in to have a battery replaced in February, which I thought was under a 5 year warranty. I did not take my receipt with me so when the technician told me I only had a 1 year warranty that had expired I believe him. I purchased a 5 year warranty for the new battery at the time. When I got home I checked my receipt and noticed in fact I did have a 5 year warranty. I went down with my paper work and was told I had to speak to the manager Luiz. Well, that took 4 months to finally meet him at the store. He seems to only work one day a week. On June 13th I spoke to the manager and he said would refund my $24.95. He took my receipt and changed the date on the back of the battery in my watch to the original 5 year warranty date. I have called Luiz numerous times asking where my refund is. I keep getting the same answer, it will be done next week. As of today Aug 19, I still have not seen any refund. The people working at this shop are dishonest. Hopefully when the store reopens I will see my refund!! read more

I took a diamond necklace with a broken chain to,Fastfix at Westfield Mall, Palm Desert ca on Mar 4. I picked it up March 24, 2 weeks later than they promised. That night I saw that they had given me the wrong necklace back. I called them the next day and told them to,find out what happened and call them. They never called. I got my insurance appraisal pictures with full description of my necklace and even went to Gail's Jewelry store where I originally bought the necklace and they verified that was not the necklace they had sold to me. Fast Fix had given me a necklace that had a 14k clasp, mine had 18k, Fastfix gave me a necklace that did NOT have an extension , my original necklace did. I went back to Fastfix and confronted them with the wrong necklace. The necklace they gave me is of lesser quality and value. They denied they made a mistake. I showed them the pictures, told them of my visit to Gail's jewelry store, Fast Fix denied it still. I have gone to police, Westfield Mall management, and now must file in small claims court. I plan to call television station here, because I heard they investigate dishonest business in Palm Desert I have insurance for my jewelry but it is NOT the fault of my insurance company NOR is it my fault. Fast Fix is trying to get out of giving me back my original necklace. They have been dishonest in giving me a similar necklace is cheaper, less quality, and is lying about what they did with my original necklace. I have never had such a dishonest retail store to deal with. read more

Beware of the sales clerk who tries to say you wanted the 5 year watch battery warranty vs. the 1 year. I had not made a choice and she tried to charge me for the 5 YEAR!! Then she had the gall to say I told her 3 TIMES, I wanted the 5 year!! I don't stutter and never said that!! She reluctantly changed the charge to 1 year supposedly. I wrote the owner an email complaining about this sales lady's unscrupulous sales tactics and usually don't take the time to complain about poor sales service but this pissed me off. Don't know if the sales lady receives commission on the warranties but this was ridiculous!!! Do NOT come to this location for watch batteries!!! They charged me $20 for a watch battery for a cheap $100 watch... I spent a quarter of the price of my watch for a battery! Go to the Varner Road location instead!! It is $5 for every watch every battery. When I mentioned that to the woman at the store, she said sorry, we don't honor that pricing... I asked then for them to make sure the watch was resealed correctly and they tried to charge me $50 for a pressure test!!! Do not come here!! All they do is upsell. Lastly, to add isult to injury... The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I took my watch here for a battery replacement. It cost nearly $30 for the battery and installation. That would have been fine, but the back of the watch was incorrectly installed after the new battery was put in. I did not discover this, however, until after it was in water, and had leaked. I have had this watch for years, took it bodyboarding, swimming, all kinds of sports and it never gave me a problem. I returned with my watch to the store and the first thing that came out of the guy's mouth was that I had taken a "water resistant" watch into water and that was why it happened. I could not believe the total lack of accountability! Upon inspecting the back of the watch closely, you can see that it was not replaced correctly. I only wish I had inspected it closely before the incident. He finally said he would "dry" it out and see if it worked. I received it back a few days later- and yes, it works, but the time is obscured by a fog of moisture inside! This place does not stand behind their work and I highly recommend you avoid them at all costs. read more

Do not trust this outfit. I took my citizen watch in for a battery. When I returned 1/2 hour later, I was told the works were not functioning and could be replaced for $80. I took it next door and asked them about how much to change works. Upon opening they found the works were damaged. I then returned to Fast-Fix and they said I could not prove they damaged it since I did not see them damage it. Now I am out a nice watch. read more

I came into Fast Fix a couple weeks ago to get my Mom's memorial bracelet fixed, the guy said $60. I didn't have the money then, so I saved up and two weeks later I go back in and they want to charge me $80 now, the lady asked me, "who have gave you the previous quote," I said, "You!" I have been a customer here for 6 years and have always been a happy customer until now. I had a pair of earrings made a little over a week ago and was very happy. I referred this place to someone who loved the earrings. She came in tonite and was told they didn't do these earrings and after her asking to speak to someone else was told they would for 10 dollars more for the same pair of earrings. She was rudely spoken too and I'm so embarrassed to have recommended her coming here and being treated so badly. Fast fix has lost a good customer and I will spread the word. I took a Sundance beaded necklace to this place to have them repair a small strand. They said it would take a week. I waited two weeks and it still wasn't done. When it finally was done, I noted they didn't fix it properly. They also tried to charge me more than the quoted price. They did ultimately fix it but the experience was slow and frustrating. Paying took a really long time (even though I paid cash) because of their cash register computer system and the long line of people waiting to check out. 2/6/15 Today I took a vintage bracelet into Fast Fix to have a link repaired. The bracelet has baguettes and stones which circle the bracelet. The bracelet is a nice piece of costume jewelry. I was told the link could be soldered and I could pick it up in 20 minutes. The bracelet was completed within the 20 minutes. As I was paying the $16.95 repair charge I noticed one of the baguettes was missing at the spot the link was repaired. The gal checked with the jeweler in the back of the store who said the stone was missing when it was brought in. The stone was there when it was brought in or I would not have paid $16.95 to have it repaired and I and the jeweler would have noticed the stone was missing when we discussed how the repair was to be done. I would NEVER do business with Fast Fix again because of the dishonesty. I now have a vintage bracelet that CANNOT be worn again. read more

Beautiful work! Needed my wedding ring prongs repaired as one was snagging my clothes. He said 2 were bad actually. Gave us a very fair estimate for all four. Suggested to have it dipped in Rhodium(?) To seal white gold. It was ready in 1 1/2 hrs. It is so beautiful! Looks Like the day my husband gave it to me. The customer service was wonderful as well. My husband and I have been Fast Fix customers at Victorville, CA for several years. Ever since, we have always been satisfied with their service. Last Sunday, October 22, was no different. Once again, service was good and even better with Natalie who attended to our needs (replacement of batteries for 2 watches), promptly. She was also very personable and took time to explain the warranty and what was written on the receipt. THE WORST!!!! Lie after lie after lie from the manager Nelly (she even lied and said her name was Lisa). Came to get a watch band sized and was not to my liking and they still wanted to charge me for a job incomplete. She recommended I take one link out and I said lets take two out and came back and it was too loose and so I wanted another link out and she said if "they break" a pin I would have to pay for it - why would I have to pay for something "they break" - then she tells me the person working on it wasn't even a watchmaker, would of been nice if she disclosed this up front but of course all they wanted was money. I refused to pay for something they did not complete and then they called security because I wouldn't pay. I never write reviews but this unprofessional sales person was not even apologetic for her lies. I do give her one good mark as she recommend I go to Stuft Pizza for a bite which was great - So I thank her for that and I do apologize somewhat for my behavior as that was unlike me but when someone stands there and tells you a lie after a lie that is hard to swallow. Though seemingly convenient and affordable, Fast-Fix jewelry repair is not a fast fix and they will try to rip you off. I have an expensive watch for which I needed a new battery. I didn't think you could really screw that up. However, on the day that Fast-Fix changed my battery, I started noticing condensation building up inside the glass of my watch. I took my watch back to them, and they insisted that it wasn't their fault and instead a piece of my watch needed replacing. While they were looking at my watch, I asked them to clean one of my rings. They immediately came back to say that three stones on my ring were loose and they could tighten them for 60 dollars each. At that point, I was so angry that I took my jewelry and headed for a more reliable jeweler (Palm Desert Jewelry on El Paseo). I asked them to look at my ring and they told me that none of the stones were loose. They were also able to tell me that my watch had been damaged by the battery repair place. Fast Fix is a chain, and I can't speak to the other stores, but the store in Palm Desert definitely insured that I will never give them business again. read more
