I called Fast Locksmith to request an estimate on having several locks re-keyed. I spoke to Ben, and I was offered a reasonable price. I chose to use Fast Locksmith based on this reasonable price, but I was sold permanently by the quality, attention to detail, and stellar customer service that Ben provided on the phone and on-site. He provided me a time window to do the work and arrived promptly at the beginning of the window. He assessed the work to be done and started immediately. He re-keyed all the locks and made adjustments to all the kick plates and in some cases revised the door jamb to make the doors close smoother and without resistance; thus improving my home. He saw that I had a new smart lock and offered to install it for a super reasonable price. Once he was done, Ben handed over the new keys and vacuumed up all the areas where he had been working. I was so impressed, I called Ben back to install another smart lock that involved drilling the door for the deadbolt and Ben was the only person I would have trusted to undertake that job. So, late on a Sunday afternoon I found myself locked out of my condo, with my key broken in the lock. I called a local locksmith that claims to offer 24-hour service but was informed by the woman who answered that no one was available to help me (it looks like this is typical from their other reviews). Luckily, after I called Fast Locksmith, they not only had someone available but arrived at my place about 15 minutes later. They quickly assessed the problem and opened the door. I also ended up having the lock re-keyed, which went smoothly as well. Ben's calm demeanor reassured me that they meant it when they said they wouldn't leave until I was able to get back into my condo. That's a far cry from "we just don't have anyone available to help you." It could have been an easy situation to take advantage of, but their prices were very reasonable. We called about a deadbolt that needed to be replaced because the key had broken off in the lock. He quickly fixed the lock and then... helped with two additional items around the house free of charge(!). We are moving into a new house and the key to the back door was missing and the deadbolt locked - he opened up the lock and reset the deadbolt so it was no longer locked. Additionally, on his way out noticed our "funky" door handle which needs a special latch. He made a comment about it and that he thought he might have something that would work. I bought a new digital lock for the door on the driveway side of my house since it was not working properly after two years of use. I quickly found out I could not do the installation myself. When setting up my elderly father's house to allow entry for caregivers, therapists, and neighbors, I received excellent advice from the owner Ronnie. He recommended keypad entry for the front and side doors. Different codes can be programmed and deleted as caregivers change. Fast Locksmith was also able to rekey the mismatched locks in the house to one key. I suggest an getting agreement on a labor and material estimate up front as older homes often have odd sized keyholes that may required additional routing that could cost more if you haven't agreed to the price up front. I had to get a new transponder key which the insurance provided locksmith quoted $595, the dealership quoted $700 and had to be towed there. Tony from Fast Locksmith came to my house and made me 2 transponder keys, and a routine spare for $290 total. Tony was extremely polite, courteous and I could tell he cared about the plight of the customer. Remember this is a terribly costly emergency to not have a special key to drive your vehicle, and a locksmith has to remove part of the dash and reprogram your system. Ben, at Fast Locksmith, was very thorough. When I asked for an estimate he asked for pictures of the door handles so that he could give an accurate estimate. He showed up exactly when he said he would with all the equipment needed to change the locks and make multiple copies of the keys. Cutting the keys can be a bit messy but he cleaned up after himself as well. Ben was very nice and polite and he got the job done well. We just moved into a new home and needed to re-key our front door. It used to get stuck when you would try to close it, and the key would jam up when we would try to lock it.
