I hope this review helps others avoid the experience I had. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel others should know about my experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I hired this company specifically for a post-construction cleaning, and before booking I asked multiple times if they were experienced with post-construction cleaning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I specifically explained that I expected the ceilings, walls, window sills and tracks, light fixtures, inside and outside of cabinets, shelves, bathrooms, and all surfaces to be thoroughly dusted and cleaned because construction dust gets everywhere. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They assured me they knew exactly what a proper post-construction cleaning involved.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unfortunately, the results were extremely disappointing. When they finished, it looked like many areas had never been touched. Construction dust was still covering window tracks and sills, shelves, mirrors, bathroom fixtures, countertops, shower walls, tubs, toilets, inside and outside of cabinets, and even decorative fixtures. There was still debris left on the floors, dust around plumbing fixtures, and residue throughout the bathrooms. The fine construction dust that I specifically hired them to remove was still everywhere. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I contacted the company, I expected them to make things right. Instead, the manager became argumentative, raised his voice at me, accused me of trying to take advantage of the situation, and refused to provide any refund.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]That level of customer service was just as disappointing as the cleaning itself.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At that point, I had completely lost trust in the company. Although they offered to come back, I politely declined because I no longer had confidence that they would do the job properly, and I didn't want to waste any more of my time. I ended up starting the cleaning myself and now have to hire another company next week to finish the job correctly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were planning to move into our home immediately because we have an upcoming trip, but instead I lost my entire morning dealing with this and still wasn't able to move in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I paid a premium expecting my home to be move-in ready after construction, but instead I was left with more work, more expenses, and a great deal of frustration. They took too long to do simple tasks like they were trying to kill time. The bathroom tile floor grout was filthy. The oven cleaning left residue.So that when I turn the oven on it, set off my smoke detectors. I was using Fast Maids services for a little over a year and the experience has been great and also very challenging at times. I am a very particular person and I have mild OCD. Finding a good set of maids can be challenging but I found my share over the last few years, and 2 sets at Fast Maids. - The maids do not wear shoe covers UNLESS you ask them to and have the Supervisor put those instructions on your account. I've never experienced that before and I've had maids for many years. Why would you walk into someone's home and make matters worse with your dirty shoes? There were times when it rained and the women would walk around with their dirty, muddy shoes on carpets. How can you cleaned the floors WITH DIRTY SHOES ON??? Why would this need to be requested? It should be mandatory! I had this problem for a few months and it was extremely frustrating. I informed the maids to wear shoe covers or to remove their shoes because I have a beige/cream colored rug. Some of them did not listen until I was very upset and assertive with them. I almost kicked a few a then out because of this but I called the Supervisor to complain instead. One time, the maids didn't wear shoes covers and damaged my living room and bedroom rugs so the company had to pay Stanley Steemer a little over $300 to have both rugs cleaned. This was an ongoing issue for quite some time with different sets a maids and I almost canceled my monthly appointment with the company. It took them months to fix this issue. - [[HIGHLIGHT]]Some maids have attitude problems and no customer service skills. Didn't speak when saying hello and good morning. Very rude.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Those ladies were definitely not invited into my home anymore. - It's called "Fast Maids" for a reason. The job was done well for the most part but I had to watch most of the maids as they cleaned and check behind them once they finish cleaning each area to make sure everything was actually touched/cleaned properly. It took a little while but eventually I found 4 women that I liked who did a great job consistently and followed simple instructions. There were times I had to tell the women that they missed spots or to clean certain areas again. Each set of maids are very different, so be patient and choose wisely. Some want to rush and leave doing a mediocre job and others go above and beyond but I've come to learn that's with a lot of these maid services. - [[HIGHLIGHT]]The most frustrating part about this company was the lack of communication and miscommunication.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After almost a year, I finally found 4 maids who did a wonderful job and I asked to have these specific woman come to my house and no one else. The maids come paired (set of 2) for each appointment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Supervisor and others who operate in the office (I'm assuming) informed me that they put the maids names on my account and that is who they would schedule for my appointments but over the last 3-4 months, there were times different maids showed up to my home who I'd never met and I wasn't informed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After this occurred multiple times, I called and I asked the supervisor to inform me ahead of time if my requested maids weren't available so that I could reschedule my appointment. He always apologized but this mishap occurred many times. Overall, if you're looking for a decent maid service this is a company with decent maids. My husband wanted to do something nice for me so he hired the services of this company. I was out for 3 weeks and he wanted me to come to a clean house. My house was as clean as I left it yes. But not $300 worth of cleaning. I feel they took advantage of my husband's kindness and busy life. Two ladies spent three hours cleaning two floors. For this price, you would expect the windows to be clean, or at least the inside corners (which was on my list to clean on my way back from my trip). They did not even dust my kids' room. they did however remake the beds that were already made (my kids and I were not here, and I had made all the beds of the house before my trip) I am very disappointed. However, my recent experience with Fast Maids Cleaning Service (specifically their hostile and unprofessional customer service/main office) was so abhorrent, it bears sharing my opinion so that others will not be subjected to similar horrible treatment. The cleaners left permanent bleach stains on my door thresholds and vanity top after I specifically said not to use any harsh cleaners. They also didn't do a good job cleaning some surfaces. I still saw dust/dirt and streaks. The first service was excellent, but they sent different crew for the second service, and now I'm very disappointed. I'm surprised this place has so many good reviews. TLDR - avoid them. Long story: I saw a deal on their website for 4 man hours of cleaning, and I was looking for recurring cleaning service so I decided to give this place a shot. I purchased the deal online, had my first cleaning. All was well so I decided to set up monthly service and called the number on the website. I found the man on the phone to be a bit rude but I just shrugged it off and proceeded to scheduling for the next 2 months (at the time, we weren't sure if were going to be renewing our lease). First cleaning was fine. Cleaners were a bit rough in some areas but overall, did a pretty decent job. Second month - had cleaning scheduled for 10:30AM. Heard a knock on the door around 9:30, but ignored it since I wasn't expecting anyone at that time. Then I get a call from a local number so I decide to pick up and it's a man from Fast Maid telling me the cleaners are right outside. I tell him the cleaning service is at 10:30AM and he just tells me "it looks like they cleaned their previous service early. Can you let them in or tell them how to get in". He was rude and non-apologetic so it really left a sour taste. Arriving 5-10 minutes early to an appointment is great but a full hour? It's inconvenient. Why bother scheduling for a certain time if they're just going to show up whenever they want? Lucky for the d-bag who makes these calls, the cleaners did a great job so I didn't think much of it. So the 2 months I had scheduled were up - I had only scheduled for July and August, but I got one of their automated emails in September saying I had an upcoming cleaning service. HMM weird, definitely did not schedule that far ahead, but I was planning to schedule cleaning anyways so I just let it slide. I had my 4th cleaning service a few days ago, which was also my last. I had the service scheduled for 10:30AM but got a call from the rude man at 9:42AM that the cleaners were outside. Again, I tell him this is inconvenient that they just show up whenever they want and he just shrugged it off. I let them in, they start cleaning, all is well. I was in my home office working when I hear them shout that they were done, so I grabbed some cash and ran down to tip them. Well, once I had some time to actually look at the clock, I noticed that they had clocked out at 10:56AM, even though I had a 2 hour cleaning service scheduled. They only cleaned for an hour and change...when I actually went down to check on the work, I saw that they hadn't even taken the recycling out like the other cleaners had. I called the Fast Maids number as soon as I noticed that I didn't get the full service I had paid for. The lady who picked up was nice - I was complaining to her that I paid full price for the service but only got 50% - she must've been on the phone with the cleaners with them explaining their side that I had instructed them I didn't need two of the rooms cleaned, which is true, but all other cleaning services always took the 2 full hours, including taking out the trash and recycling. I asked for a partial refund as this is complete bs. She said she wasn't authorized to offer a refund on an already completed service, but could offer $40 off from the next service. I said I wasn't interested between them showing up outside of the instructed time, the rude man (whoever that is), and the sh*tty service form the last cleaning. She said she would speak to the manager and call back. Well, unsurprisingly, it's been a few days and I haven't heard back from them. I guess I won't be getting any money back. I hired Fast Maid cleaning for a move-in cleaning to help prepare the house before all the furniture was moved in. They sent 3 maids despite me booking 2, and then charged me more than what I agreed upon booking. When I contested, the manager Steve condescendingly argued that their action was justified to complete my house in the time frame that I booked and only offered a $15 refund. This business is shady because they put in tiny print in the confirmation email that they may send an additional maid. To top it off, the cleaning service was sub-par. The maids we extremely late, we constantly had to point out spots and areas that the maids missed, and even so they only dabbed a duster over things. We still had to go in and clean after overpaying for this service. Everything, from the offered cleaning service to the management is terrible. Avoid at all costs! I also expect Steve or another manager to argue on my review as they do on any negative reviews. Here are excerpts from an email I received from Steve. The first line is the fine print that I missed/his excuse as to why they send an extra maid. " "If this is your initial service and if you were to get an additional maid.. That maid's per person hourly rate would be added on top of the hourly rate." If you were to get 2 maids they probably would have finished in 3 hours. Common sense, less labor more hours, more labor less hours. And nobody works for free as i can imagine you guys also work and get paid accordingly. This is a labor business and pricing is based on how many people we send. We reserve the right to send 2 or more maids as indicated in the email confirmation. Also as i mentioned before, if you were to get 2 maids, service would have take longer and you would be charged accordingly. We are cleaning over 100 houses a day and we do not have time to be unethical and unfair and pull tricks on our customers, believe me on that. " read more

(Their customer service deserves 4 stars as tehy made multiple efforts to reach out and make things right.) However, the cleaning crew did not do a thorough job, just enough for the naked eye to show that the areas were addresses a second time. When i went back and recleaned there were still extremely dirty areas. Again, i didnt request a refund because they did TRY with the second visit. I have been using this service for a few years now. Unfortunately, the quality of service has steadily devolved. When I had the same two ladies come in, the service was stellar - then they started sending others who were not as thorough and took a LONG time (resulting in additional charges to my credit card). There have been several instances of overcharging, there was an instance where all they needed to do was clean a bathroom and kitchen and did a poor job and had to come back out and lately they haven't been answering their phone or responding to voicemails. Called Fast Maids for an extensive sanitization of our rental property to have ready to go within a short amount for the new renters. They were able to accommodate us within 2 business days. We were very pleased with the overall customer service but especially with the sanitization process itself. I was in and out just checking to make sure the lists were followed out properly and was never once left to question their attention to detail. Very impressed and not to mention it cost us far less than experienced in the past with other companies for the same square footage and time frame. Extremely unprofessional and rude and even trying to be intimidating. Who does that? DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Not only is the company unresponsive when there are issues, none of the cleaners take responsibility when they mess up. I've asked the cleaners not to put anything in my recycling bin because the city of Alexandria does not recycle glass. What happens every week? They put my glass bottles in recycling. I even moved the recycling bin to the backyard. The ladies found it. I put a note in my chart. The ladies disregard it. When I complained, I was told that the issue is that I had not been assigned a "regular" cleaning crew. Well, I've been with the company since 2022. I should have had a regular crew by now. The most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a cleaning service. Although the job was done well enough, the management was horrific. I tried to give a gift to a single father, not only did they embarrass me by advising the giftee that I had not paid the appropriate price because I used a Groupon, they did not provide the service in accordance with the terms of the contract. They were supposed to provide 4 hours and provided only 2 1/2 hours of service. They refused to honor the additional 4 hours that I purchased. The owner never returned my call, and I waited an entire day before writing this review in order to give the owner an opportunity to make things right. Groupon, on the other hand, handled it in less than five minutes. I would advise anyone interested in hiring this company that you look out for hidden charges and do not expect the manager to resolve any concerns that you may have unless you plan on paying them more money with each interaction. They did a great job cleaning and we will be contacting them every few months over the next year or so to come back to do some additional cleaning. We were having out of town guests for the weekend, and our place needed a deep cleaning. I have used other cleaning companies before but these ladies were awesome! They're attention to detail and personal touches made our apartment look like 5 star hotel room. True professionals, cleaned from the top down. Starting with the top of our 10 ft cabinets down to the baseboards And Everything in between:) Especially liked the way they made the beds and making a flower on the toilet paper. I hired this company, was going to use a Groupon, but they convinced me not to saying that the Groupon doesn't cover move-in move-out services and takes too big a cut. So, I said fine, and paid their full price for 2 people, 2 hours each, 4 hours total. (It takes me, a non pro cleaner 1.5 hours by myself to clean this small space immaculately, but I didn't have time this week). When I inspected the small one bedroom apt, it appeared they had been there, because the place reeked of bleach even though I asked that they not use bleach. However, baseboards were still dusty, under the bed had not been touched, anything at all that had to be moved, even a lamp wire seemed to be an excuse to not vacuum or sweep or clean behind. And the floor was spot cleaned. And none of the shelves were dusted, and non of the glass surfaces were cleaned. The oven wasn't even cleaned. Not good. In fact, there is no possibility they were cleaning that whole time. The only thing that looked cleaned was the sinks. Since I was on a tight schedule, I emailed and called them right away, but they did not get back to me. So, I asked for a refund, since I now have to stay up til midnight after my double shift to get this done right. Too late for me to get someone else and I don't trust them to try again, and tenants are moving in! They were not about to give me a refund, as they feel like they should be paid regardless of the service they provided. Since, in the end, it was very unpleasant working with them, I would give them zero stars, except yelp doesn't allow that. Seems by the other reviews on Yelp, that is is hit or miss with this company and if they miss, it's frustrating to deal with their management. I will get my money back from the credit card company who got on the phone to mediate with me and actually hung up on the Fast Maid management after much frustration. You want to hire these guys? Roxana and her colleague were miracle workers! I told them they didn't have to bother with my teenager's room, but they still went in and made it sparkle. Carpets looked better than when I moved in, the kitchen was sparkling, and every glass surface was spotless! Not only was the house thoroughly cleaned, they included lovely little touches such as tri-folded towels and a rose design using toilet paper. This was my first time contracting with a cleaning service, and definitely convinced me that it's more than worth moving forward. They broke a picture frame and didn't tell me. I watched her try to fix it then lay it down when it wouldn't stand up. I paid extra for fridge cleaning and it's still dirty. If you do add appliance cleaning, then expect it to be accounted for in your total time allowance. In other words, you don't get extra cleaning time if you pay extra for appliance cleaning. There's dirt all over the wood floors, I literally had to run my robovac after they left so it could vacuum. Very mediocre cleaning service, with cleaning "fuzz" all over bedroom furniture, not wiping down photo frames, etc. Update: received an immediate call from the manager/owner and he was very accommodating and willing to make it right. I had a great experience using Fast Maid services. I had a Groupon for 3 hours of service and 2 house keepers for a total of 6 hours. The staff showed up on time, was courteous, pleasent and took the time to identify my needs and meet/exceed my expectations. They were able to do my 4 story hometown within the 3 hours and did not miss details. They vacuumed all stairs and all of the house, all 4 bathrooms and the entire place was super clean. When they left the house looked spotless clean and it smelled great. I really wish I could remember their names because they were great and definitely want to request them again. It was a little hard scheduling the appointment, but it was well worth the wait based on the service I received. I will definitely be using them again and would recommend them. read more

Read the one star reviews. That was our experience. Steve is beyond rude and obnoxious. The maids would arrive two hours early and expect to get. immediate access. We would explain we weren't ready but they would call the office and have Steve call us (who needs that?). Steve would say that they would help occasionally with folding laundry but if you asked them to it was WWII and Steve sudden forgot saying that. If one maid was pregnant and sick they would cancel. While the price was very fair on the move out service they provide, I will not be using this company again. It is apparently company policy not to clean walls, which I was only informed of after my service was completed and I had paid. So several scuffs on walls were not addressed. I am frustrated because despite emailing back and forth and several phone calls, I was never informed of this policy (which would have made me choose another service). The policy is also not listed on their website. I feel that it is dishonest to only mention this policy when I followed up on the service to ask why the scuffs were not addressed. I was told they must have "forgotten" to inform me about this policy. My husband and I purchased the basic level move out cleaning service. We did a lot of research and for the price and what comes with the packaged compared to other maid services made it an absolute steal. Unfortunately, the reviews on Yelp and Angie's list did not match the service that was provided. Several areas of our apartment were not thoroughly cleaned or even touched at all, specifically, the closets and floors. When the maids arrived, I spoke to them and showed them the areas that needed the most attention, which were the coat closet, bedroom closets, and along the floorboards where there were scuff marks and build up of dust/pet dander. When I enquired about the cleaning package we purchased, I was assured that all of these things were covered and would be cleaned. Our apartment is only 900 sq ft and we had done a pretty thorough cleaning prior to having maids come for the final move-out clean. Being that we had already cleaned the apartment ourselves and really only needed extra help with the little areas that we did not have the adequate cleaning supplies for and time with moving and working, we assumed this would be fairly easy job. Unfortunately, that was not the case and we were really disappointed to come into an apartment for our walkthrough to find that none of those areas hadn't even been touched and the living area floor (the easiest part) had been vacuumed but not wiped down at all. Luckily we had a few cleaning supplies left over to attempt to touch up these areas quickly but we are frustrated that we paid for these services and ultimately had to do the cleaning ourselves. Great job! Easy to make appointment, and the two ladies that cleaned my place showed up within the window that they were supposed to. They listened to my needs, and concerns and focused on my priorities. Although it took them a while, they were efficient and very thorough, and after 3 hours (x 2 people = 6 hrs) my place looked great. And I say this as a fairly picky person. AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS! This was the WORST cleaning service I've ever had to deal with. We asked for the move-out/deep and carpet cleaning service, and two maids showed up. We have already moved out and taken out the trash the day prior. Two maids showed up with barely any cleaning supplies, only rags, and mops. We called to make sure we were scheduled for move-out and carpet cleaning service and they said we never booked for carpet cleaning service. A couple of minutes later they said they had forgotten and didn't book us. After they finished cleaning my boyfriend and I took a quick look around the house to check if there were any missing spots, there were tons. Since the ladies only spoke Spanish and we didn't speak Spanish, we called the cleaning service and explained to them there were so many spots that they missed. We gave the manager a detailed location of where needs to be cleaned. The maids barely went over the spots we mentioned so we called again to say that there were still a lot of spots missing. Even after they received a call from their manager, they just stood by the door, so we were confused as to what was happening. A couple of minutes later, we received a phone call saying "the maids have done their job and are waiting to be paid." We explained to the manager there were still a lot of spots missing and that we were unsatisfied. Then she repeatedly said the maids were ready to be paid so they can go to their next job and just kept on rushing us to pay. Two weeks later, we received a call asking for a review. We gave our honest opinion, hoping it won't happen to someone else. It was our mistake to think they were asking for an honest review because all they wanted to hear was a positive experience which obviously we did not have. At the end of the call, they just gave many excuses, not to mention the lady was YELLING and TALKING over at any chance she got for not saying positive things. Ultimately, it was very clear this place DOES NOT care about the service and ONLY cares about the money. We spent close to $400 to be left with barely any cleaning and in the end, another cleaning service had to clean the house again. Moving is already a lot of stress. Hiring this business will add EVEN MORE stress on you, trust me. All I can say is, AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS. Don't waste your time.
