What a great find. Rewind back to last Sunday. Driving back to Alameda from the city. And bang! Rock hits the windshield. From previous experience I know to repair this crack fast. If not it spreads like a virus and then you are left with no choice but to replace. So fast forward to Monday I happen to see this repairman fixing a windshield by my house. I recently had a windshield replaced by this company. It was an absolutely unbelievable experience. I called to discuss the project and spoke with Kru. He quoted a price and said he could be out at my residence in 1 hour. Sure enough, he appeared exactly on time in 1 hour with the replacement windshield. It then took him approximately 30-40 minutes to install the replacement windshield. This included recalibrating the lane control and collision avoidance systems, which a competitor told me would require three-four hours to accomplish. I've had Kru fix chips on two different Tesla windshields. On my Model 3 it was in a very tricky spot at the bottom of the windshield so it was challenging to plug it there, but Kru got it done and it never spread. My Model Y had a chip more in the center recently that was easier to access and Kru took care of that as well. I'd consider the cost extremely competitive especially since he comes to your house and takes care of it for you. So two words of advice: 1. If you get a window chip, fix it quick before it spreads 2. Call Kru to do it. read more
