Super easy, super chill, super cheap. Got my window smashed in Jack London, called for a quote, and he pulled one up in seconds. I compared to SafeLite, who quoted me double what Auto Glass Guys did. When I got there I handed over the keys, signed a form, and two hours later got a phone call that it was ready. The whole process was super easy, professional, and affordable. My car got hit by a vandal again. I called and Oscar found a replacement for my rear window within minutes. I have an older car, and this was a bit of a challenge. He gave me a good price, and called when the glass was delivered to the shop. When i arrived he offered to give me a ride back to my house, and picked me up when the job was done. These folk will do repairs on-site, but i took the car in because there was a threat of rain. Still HIGHLY RECOMMEDED! Safelite wanted $970 + tax to come out and fix the windows. And it was gonna take em 3 days to get the glass because our car is so weird. F that noise. I called around to a several local places and found Auto Glass Guys at the corner of W Grand and San Pablo in Oakland (https://www.carglassguys.com/). I dropped the car off, they got right on it, had me all fixed up in 2 hours, which was cool because they had to locate the glass. $450 out the door. Can't say I'm happy about having my two side windows smashed in, but I'm super happy with the service at Auto Glass Guys. I had my winshield replaced here a month ago. Unfortunately, just last weekend a rock chipped my winshield on highway I-880 (Oakland/San Leandro area). When I took my car in today for repair, Oscar discovered another chip right below my wipers that I did not even noticed. Despite their policy on lifetime warranty to repair one chip, Oscar was so kind and generous to cover the second one for free and even provided me helpful advice on routes to avoid that are used by dump trucks loaded with flying debris. I called in to get a quote on a auto window repair and he gave me the best rate, by far. Mind you, this was the weekend before Christmas, where prices are hiked and most places are not even open. These guys were awesome. My windshield was smashed in the Daly City BART parking lot over a weekend and my insurance company goes through Safelite who said they couldn't come out for 3-4 days. I was going crazy looking for a place that would fix my car door window for an affordable price. Auto Glass Guys has the most affordable prices by at least $150. Oscar helped me out while I was there with my car. He helped made me feel welcomed and explained the pricing and the work that needed to be done on my car clearly. I waited around the place while my car was being worked on. Everyone in the office was so nice. They continuously offered me water, tea and coffee and had pastry's available for costumers. They did a great job on my window and even took the time to vacuum my car out as best they could. I'm very satisfied with everything about this place. The job was well done and they were down for bringing my car to me the only big problem was that they were suppose to charge me $190 and it turned out to be $290. I paid hey guy with a $100 which he claimed he never got then made me give him a second hundred dollar bill saying I never gave it to him. I asked him to check his picked and he kept insisting he didn't have it but my wallet donde have that $100 so he kept it. read more

My original intention was to give this place an excellent review. Oscar found what was, according to him, one of only two rear windows for my car available in California -- which he ordered, the downside being it wasn't expected to be delivered for two weeks. Two weeks went by and no window -- it was somehow delivered to a dealership, which had not ordered it, and they sent it back; ordered another one from another location on Friday -- due Monday. Monday arrives and the heater in the window was broken and couldn't be fixed; third window ordered. Oscar had come by the next day after my call to tape up my back window -- which, due to the delay in getting the part, he offered to do again, as I reported the remaining glass panel was deteriorating. He apologized for the delay; all the while apologizing for the delay in getting the part. I took him at his word that the delay was not his fault. He appeared to be on top of the situation, and was responsive in tracking the part when I checked in to get the status. Service seemed excellent up to that point. Finally, new window arrives, with an early morning appt for him to come out and install it. No show. The guy came out the following day and installed the window. I was given a 5% discount due to the delay. Following day I noticed there was a loose body panel surrounding the new glass and called and asked Oscar to come out an fix it and he said he'd come out the next morning. No show. Called him and asked where he was and he said another guy was supposed to have been there, and that he'd find out what happened to him. Called me later to tell me he was going to call me and let me know what's up. Never heard from him again, despite a phone message to him. So, in the end, faulty workmanship which they refused to make good on, calls not returned, and promises not kept. In addition, I was left with a receipt with the name of another business on it, and no website, so had trouble tracking them down online -- where I first found them -- to leave a review. Took my car to the dealer to have the problem repaired. read more
