This is the second time I have used this location in 3 months. Both times I made an appointment on line, was able to get an appointment very quickly. Both times the staff has been very nice, appointment started on time and both Doctors were very friendly and I genuinely felt like they were interested in me. I would not recommend visiting Fast Track Urgent Care in Silver Spring if you don't want to waste $200 with nothing to show for it. On a Tuesday morning, I called ahead to confirm whether they could treat my toddler for a possible UTI. The front desk staff assured me that they could, so I brought him in, trusting their word. After paying without issue, we ended up waiting an additional two hours to see a doctor, even though the waiting room was nearly empty, and the few patients ahead of us had already left after being seen. Once we were finally brought to the exam room, it took another hour before the doctor came in--only to tell me that they didn't have the necessary equipment to treat my child. This was beyond frustrating, especially after the long wait and my toddler's discomfort. The front desk clearly gave me false information, claiming to have spoken with the doctor, which led us to waste hours with no resolution. I left without any help, only a $200 bill, and no solutions for my child's condition. I give this place 1 star and strongly recommend avoiding it if you value your time and money. read more

They were terrible and negligent. They never called back with positive test results for food poisoning despite my repeated calls. I was eventually able to get a diagnosis from my regular doctor, but the delay caused considerable misery and the need for extra antibiotics and could have caused others to become infected. I learned that they had the results and didn't act on them from the Montgomery County Department of Health. Don't waste your time or risk your health and your possibly put your community in danger by going to Fast Track Urgent Care. read more

We had a bad experience with Fast Track Urgent Care in Silver Spring. We called ahead at 7:30 pm to make sure they could take us for a nasty cut on my daughter's finger. They said no problem, to come on in. They didn't say to make an appointment, just walk in. When we got there about 20 minutes later they wouldn't take us. They said they were all booked and we didn't have an appointment. This speaks to a low level of organization. The place was very small and dark. We will certainly not be back. Beware! This place is a Scam! I had a televisit on Tuesday, 12/28th! Was told to drive up for a PCR test on Wednesday, 12/29th at 5pm! Showed up and there were not any tents or booths for this procedure. It's located in a small shopping center! The doors were locked and lights were off although the sign indicated they close at 9pm! Kept calling the main number and no one answers! I will report them to the better business bureau and to my insurance! There is no option for a zero star because they don't deserve half of a star! Came to this location on a Sunday to get an X-ray for my mother for a knee injury. After sitting in the room wasting 2 hours of time despite having an appointment and explicitly saying the appointment is for her knee, we were told there was no X-ray technician on site and to go to the Kensington location for treatment by an actual physician and for an X-ray. I am a physician and cannot believe how incompetent this place was. Do not go here unless you enjoy wasting your time! read more

I probably would have said 3 or 4 stars, but after getting the bill, I'm going with 1 star. I took my son for a fever and suspected strep throat. They were open and nearby. I have high deductible plan with Carefirst, which is generally good, but has a high copay, $100. I've never had to pay anything else. They were late opening so we sat in the car for about 30 minutes. Not a big deal, but they did a combination flu/COVID test which cost $175 which contributed to the $660 bill. The insurance adjusted some of it down, but a couple months later I still got a bill for $220. They otherwise were fine, diagnosing strep throat but it was $320 for an urgent care visit when you include the copay. We've had ER visits with an ambulance ride for less. read more

I scheduled an appointment for a Covid test online. I drove 45minutes for my appointment. I called at 9:24am to to clarify where to go for my testing which was scheduled for 9:45. The woman who answered the phone told me I needed to do a virtual consultation first and they didn't have any available till the next day. Non of this was mentioned on the website. The directions on the website said schedule the appointment and put Covid Testing as the reason for the test. I was sent an email confirmation for the appointment. No where on the site did it mention a virtual consultation and my confirmation didn't mention it either. I am very disappointed that I drove 45min for a test that they refused to conduct without a virtual consultation. read more

Ive been coming here for years. The people here are warm, caring and knowledgeable. They don't really seem like money grabbers like at other clinics; they are just people who genuinely care about others. There was an incident with a defiant and potentially dangerous patient in the lobby a few years ago and the staff handled it extremely well, ensuring the safety of everyone else in the waiting room. As weird as it sounds, this feels like it's become my second home during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the only place I go to to get my regular COVID testing done because of all the aforementioned great qualities. I'd recommend them to anyone! read more

I had previously been to this location and had enjoyed the care I received. I have taken my kids there because it's so convenient and have made several recommendations to friends and family. However on Sunday my experience was not the same. I went in because I had a cough that once it starts it leaves me breathless and feeling exhausted and weak. I left in a rush not feeling well and forgot my purse. I was going with my husband so all I thought about was the payment. When I got there, I was asked for my identification and that's when I realized that I had left it at home. I have a photo of my driver's license on my phone so I told the receptionist that I had forgotten my ID but I had a photo of it. We had a back and forth conversation which I still don't get the point as to why she got up and basically walked away. I told her that I was going to be paying cash for my services but that I really wasn't feeling well. Her response was, "go home and get your ID. I have nothing else to say to you." It's disheartening to go to an urgent care and receive this type of attention. The issue in the end was not even the ID but her lack of care. My message is: please teach your receptionists that they are the image of your business. The care they provide is important. The ID was important to have on file, which you should have had it because I had previously been there. So much money is invested in marketing that in the end goes all in the trash when we the customers go there and end up feeling dissatisfied. This place should close. The receptionist has given herself a medical degree and diagnoses patients when they walk in. What she says and does is purely based on how quickly she needs to return to her gossiping phone calls. Healthcare is serious business and if it's now being practiced by someone one who prefers to insult patients rather than help them, it has lost all its importance. I'm not sure how this place remains open with someone like Marvey at the front desk who takes pride in dishing out misinformation and making up policies literally on the fly. If she is any representation of the actual health care staff, run don't walk away from that place. This Silver Spring location has the 'charm' of a diner in midst of Kingstown. Somehow they think it's acceptable to be rude and dismissive to those who need actual healthcare. Very unfortunate and dangerous at best. read more

I had a virtual appointment first since I was having Covid symptoms. The virtual appointment went well but it went downhill from there. I drove to the Colesville location to be tested in my car. I called 3 times to tell them I was waiting outside and was finally seen after at least an hour. Then the nurse said she was not told I was waiting! She said I should get the rapid results in about 30 minutes. 4 hours later when I was starting to feel really bad, I called to find out if my results were in. "No one called you?" she said. I waited again for too long as she "checked in other patients" and was finally told the results were in and positive. I won't be back, ever. read more

We called ahead to ask if we could come because it was within a hour of closing. They said they closed the doors at 8:45pm even though it's advertised that they close at 9pm. We got there at 8:30pm and the doors were locked and they would not let us in. They said that the doctor had another patient and would not have time to see our sick 4 year old. Had they told us on the phone we would have gone somewhere else. It was a waste of time to drive there and it would have been the right thing to do to treat this patient. Yesterday evening I called fast track and they had said they took their last appointment at 8:45 and if I could get there by then my son would be seen. I rushed home from my daughter's gymnastics picked up my son and got there at 8:43. I got to the door and the door was locked - the clinic doesn't close until 9 by the way. I knocked for two mins looking in and noticing a women ignoring the door and when she finally came to the door she said, "Nope, sorry we are closed, we just mopped. I told her she heard me knocking and I was here before 8:45 and after callingl they said as long as I get here by 8:45 I would be seen. I got a fake smile and pretty much was dismissed. I will never go here again. I drove to four corners and went to right time care and was seen by a professional and caring staff. Don't waste your time with this Fast track! read more

I am very choosy about medical care and didn't know what to expect and VERY HAPPY w/my excellent care. I cut my finger w/kitchen shears and did not want to go through an hours long ER visit but a mere bandaid would not stop my bleeding. The PA Christine was excellent--knowledge, kind and on her game--a former ER PA. She stitched me painlessly and had me on my way from check in to discharge in 30 minutes. The clinic is very clean and taking careful covid precautions. So glad to have them nearby. read more

Disclaimer: This is only a review for pediatric care. Yesterday, my 8-month-old daughter had a cut on her finger that looks infected and our pediatrician recommended going to urgent care rather than waiting until Monday, so we checked this place out. Online, they tout themselves as offering pediatric urgent care as a service, which none of the places in DC did, so we drove all the way to Silver Spring. Big mistake. The doctor we saw knew NOTHING about kids. He kept saying "well, normally I'd recommend (fill in the blank), but I don't really know how that would work with a baby". WHAT. I could give you a pass if your website hadn't said "Our board-certified doctors and clinicians understand that children can be nervous and even frightened in an unfamiliar environment--especially when they're not feeling well. We take special care to put our younger patients at ease with gentle reassurance and friendly smiles." But, it did, so I assumed you would know "how it would work with a baby." Yeah, this dude had no bedside manner with kids, asked a worrying FIVE times how old she was, and then said "she's almost 2, right?" as he was writing her a prescription for antibiotics. Also their baby scale was broken, so my husband had to kick it old school and weigh our daughter, then weigh himself and my daughter and do the math. This place is super worrying as somewhere that advertises itself as a place that specializes in children's care. We called around a few places in DC before trekking to Silver Spring, and those places said they wouldn't see children under 4. I appreciated their honesty; pediatrics is a specialization for a reason. We ended up calling our pediatrician after the appointment to double check the diagnosis and prescriptions because we got such a bad feeling from this place. Parents, steer clear. A place to avoid with all means!!! This place is full of fraud. The people working here can not be trusted and they definitely lack a basic sense of trustworthiness. It starts with the front desk personnel (jasmine and Amelia) and goes up the treating PA, Nsubuga. These people are either clueless about their job and how to deal with customers, or purposely misinform customers about the services. It's all about making money , rather giving care to people. So, if you plan to go there- just know they are all about taking your money and providing the poorest service you would expect in the medical industry. For us, lesson learned after the first visit which turned out to be a case that will be dealt legally. This is really a shame that this kind shop exists in America and people will such low level ethics are allowed to do business!!! read more

Overall, I think I received good care. Receptionist was friendly, they took steps to reduce risk of COVID exposure to patients and offered reassuring help and testing for the purpose of my visit. The PA that took care of me was friendly, reassuring and competent...not sure if all urgent care providers use PAs rather than MDs; but, my care seemed adequate. Only a few small issues: Technician seemed to have trouble operating equipment...could have been new or having a bad day. Also, they called me at least 3 times over the course of a week to 10 days, each time to let me know the very same test results. Every time they called, they said "call us back as soon as possible", making me think the tests had errors, needed to be redone, that negative results were somehow found to be positive, etc. This could be stressful for some folks with certain tests. The second issue is that each time they called, I requested a copy of my tests to share with my own physician and they never fulfilled my request. Finally I asked for a manager, but none was available over the weekend; but, they promised to have someone call me on Monday. Never received a call back. Never having been to an urgent care before, I have no idea where this business ranks with respect to the above concerns, so gave them a middle of the road three stars. The clinical care appeared okay to me and got the job done. I was seen quickly and paperwork was minimal. The other issues relate to office staff and techs, not the diagnosis and treatment. read more

I have visited this urgent care clinic twice in the past year and I had a positive experience both times. The medical assistants/nurses were polite. The PA's were also polite and professional. They were knowledgable and took the time to explain their diagnoses and answered my questions. This urgent care center is also located in the same shopping center as a pharmacy so no need to travel far to get your prescriptions. Very convenient location and professional staff. Both my elderly mother and I have tried using this location on two separate occasions. The doctors were nice and caring, but they could not help us, and we ended up being referred elsewhere. Bummer. To add insult to injury, I received a follow-up bill, but Fast Track had gone ahead and charged my credit card WITHOUT TELLING ME! I noticed the charge on my bill. I had a great experience here on a recent Saturday morning when I had a really sore throat. Quick check-in (one form to complete/sign), and a short wait (less than 5 minutes) to see a nurse who took my vitals and did a throat swab. Another short wait for the P.A. (again, less than 5 minutes), who did a throat exam (which took a couple minutes at most). He returned a minute later with the test results (positive for strep), and electronically sent in a Rx for me. Everyone was friendly and efficient. I couldn't have been in there for more than 20 minutes. Ample parking outside. read more

I visited this place on 5/15/2016 at the New Hampshire location, and it was the most embarrassing meeting with a doctor I have ever had. Throw all confidentiality out the door. The doctor was talking about private issues in the open hallway, as loud as he could and the people in the waiting room could hear everything. Luckily there was only one other person besides my fiance; but, his loud and careless comments and accusations were embarrassing and demeaning. Everything he wanted to say was heard by my fiance and the rest of the staff. I really did not want any of this private information to be known by my anyone, most importantly my fiance. So much for "Urgent Care". This is the second time I have been in one of these places and I've been wary of them. So embarrassing. I hope the doctor in this place learns to be a little more professional and refrain from trying to offend people with his comments and loud speaking. I'm not sure if he did this on purpose or not, but either way, I spent the rest of the day discussing this private information with my fiance and it really is a private matter. read more
