The customer service is amazing the second you walk through the doors you are greeted and felt welcome. Only down fall is that most of the employees ( mainly the guys ) assume I don't know what I want or what I'm talking about. But I've started to get use to it. The store is clean and finding what I need is easy. The lumber yard is kinda messy but it's whatever. I also have taken equipment in now that they got a new mechanic ( I wouldn't waste my time or money with the last guy that was there I think his name was John) the new guy is amazing and helped fix my mower that the other shop in town thought they "fixed". I think his name is Bryan he is great and when I called for an update the gal in the shop knew who I was and was able to help me immediately with an update that they were waiting on parts. They said it was a 2 week wait and I got mine back in 10 days and fixed correctly have not had a single problem with it. I will definitely be bring my other equipment here.

The Davis and Woodland Ace Hardware did not have any, nor did the Woodland Home Depot. Who knew that the Dixon Ace Hardware would carry them and have them in stock. They set one aside for us and we immediately made the trip to Dixon. The capacitor was waiting for us and the sales person mentioned that they are the only ones in the area that carry items like that. We wandered about the store a bit, it's larger than the Davis Ace. My husband was also looking for a specific drip irrigation plug but they didn't have it in stock. Two sales members helped us look for the item and then they explained that the store will be doing a major re-do in October so they are starting to reduce inventory and the plug seemed to be one of the current reductions. Even so, the store was orderly and well stocked with other items. Our $40 purchase in hand, my husband installed it once we got home, saving probably hundreds of dollars if we had called a HVAC company to diagnose the problem and replace the capacitor. BTW, it worked and we have cool air again.

They sometimes have varieties that aren't in the big box stores. Today was no exception. I selected some rare succulents and proceeded to the outdoor checkstand to pay. That is where things went downhill. This usually open checkstand had a note stating it was closed and to pay inside. So back inside I went. After a short wait I approached the check stand and after the young man rang my purchases he handed me the receipt. I said well I need to pay you. And as I unzipped my RFID-shielded wallet to obtain my debit card the young male cashier said, "oh it already took your payment" (and he pointed to the "tap here" feature on the credit/debit card machine on the counter). I was flabbergasted! So after looking at the receipt I saw that the machine had charged a credit card that was located several cards deep inside my wallet in my crossbody bag that I was wearing at the time. I asked him to refund that and place the items on a debit card instead. Wow. After a brief discussion, both he and his "Lead" admitted that machine is super sensitive so my recommendations are to the consumer be careful when shopping here, and to ACE replace the machine or post a warning to customers. Lastly, the attitude of the Lead was a bit condescending - loud, and restating the obvious. And the cashier was aloof - detached and not listening.

BEWARE - Poor Quality Compost and Poor Customer Service…read more On Saturday, July 26, my husband purchased half a yard of "humus blend" compost from the Davis Ace rock yard. When he got home, I immediately noticed several large rocks, glass shards, and bits of plastic mixed in. I called the store right away and was told there had been previous complaints, but they thought this was a new delivery. The store manager apologized and said we could return the compost for a full refund. When we returned it, the yard staff were kind and helpful in removing it from our truck. However, when I went inside to process the refund, the rock yard manager was curt -- both to us and to the associate handling the return. When I explained why we were returning the product, his only response was that it was our responsibility to inspect the compost before purchase. This was shocking and completely inappropriate. A customer buying a "humus blend" should not have to sift through it on-site to make sure it doesn't contain glass and debris. I followed up with an email and a letter to the store owner, Mark Schulein, but received no response. Needless to say, we will be purchasing our landscape products elsewhere. I was willing to write this off as a one-time mistake, but the manager's dismissive attitude and lack of accountability have made me lose trust in the quality and integrity of Davis Ace Hardware.

Good luck Getting someone to help you. They don't even pick up the phone…read more I asked 3 people for help and no one came. I asked to speak to the manager and apparently they were too busy to talk to me too. Lowe's is right across the freeway. I'm headed there now. Reply to Home Depot team: I have lived in the area almost 20 years. This store used to be great. But no more. I would rather drive to the Woodland Store 26 miles away (I live 10 away from Vacaville) than go back to this Vacaville store. You really need to send someone to Vaca to kick some a$$.

I then left and went to another department and asked for a person to be called to help me in the grinder section on aisle 17. I heard the announcement loud and clear across the store PA I wait another 10 minutes and ask another department again. I hear a clear request for help on aisle 17 with grinders . I did have a gentleman announce himself as Manuel to. Please call him Manny. He was not dressed in any kind of insignia as being a Home Depot employee he said that he would absolutely help me when he saw I was looking at grinders. He shouted to another gentleman who was a distributor for another type of grinder. This person was trying to help me, but he didn't know the Dewalt grinder system, and didn't know if there was a tool that would help me take the wheels on and off again no help whatsoever from the store. Finally I approached self check out. I asked one of the ladies to please call me the manager. A gentleman who said he was one of the store managers named 'Red' came and identified himself as one of the store managers. He said he wasn't sure why nobody came up and that was too bad that happened. I ask who the GM of the store was and I was told his name Brian . But I was also told he was too busy walking around the store looking at inventory to deal with customers who are not being helped. Clearly they have lots of managers, but none of them managing. I definitely would avoid this Home Depot. It was just so conveniently located off the freeway on my way to Sacramento that I thought I would grab something I needed. What a mistake. Looks like they have all the products one could want just no help in purchasing them

While I was driving there I got a text from a tenant that I manage a house for who told me their dishwasher is having troubles and needs replacement. I walked around for a bit in appliances to see which microwave and dishwasher I could purchase. There was 1 person working the appliances helping someone already, the. myself and 1 other person waiting for help. The employee noticed us waiting and quickly called for more associates to come help in appliances. Within 5 or so minutes someone (Kiera) had come over to ask if I needed help. I told her I wanted to purchase a microwave and walked her over to the one I wanted which fortunately in stock so she went to the back to get it. While waiting I was trying to make a decision on which dishwasher I was going to purchase. While I was waiting for Kiera. Another associate came over to see if I needed help. The other person that needed help was already being helped. Shortly after Kiera came out with the microwave I wanted then asked if I needed help with anything else. I told her I needed to purchase a dishwasher for a rental house. She was very knowledgeable about the different dishwashers and explained to me the differences of each one I pointed out as well as check to see if they had them in stock. I finally decided on an LG dishwasher that was in stock so I can get the quickest delivery and install. It costs $209 for the delivery, install and haul away of the old dishwasher and another $50 for the power cord and required hoses/parts. Since the dishwasher was in stock, I should be hearing from the delivery/installation person in the next couple days to schedule the delivery/install. Fortunately, I can install the microwave myself. I'm not sure if Lowe's just happened to have more employees working today (Sunday, 2/2/26) or they have improved their service, but it was a very pleasant experience today. Special thanks to Kiera who provided exceptional service!

That's a $5,000 table- F*CK!" and stormed off; grabbing the toy trinkets my child was playing with from right in front of him. There is absolutely no excuse for that response in any setting- let alone a professional one. Eric had ran to hide in the back when my husband wanted to confront him. There was no apology, no explanation, nothing- from anyone. We would absolutely be reporting to corporate but upon further research we found out he is an owner. I also can't help but feel this was a racially driven attack. I, a white woman, had come in prior to my husband and had been greeted warmly by Eric. But my hispanic husband who came in later was not greeted at all- actually, he was cussed at! Money can't buy class but apparently Eric has neither of those since he was so worked up over $5,000. I would spend my money elsewhere. There is nothing "Ma and Pa" or "family owned" about this place. Just some wanna-be capitalist white supremacists who think it's okay to cuss and yell at toddlers and potential customers.
