We have used Classic Aire for almost nine years and have had service calls and twice-yearly checks over the years. A new HVAC system was installed in our home in late March this year and everything was done professionally and neatly with no messes left for us to clean up. The system worked great until the incredibly damp and cool spring when the AC was having real trouble dealing with the humidity in the house. But Faszold--and its mother ship, Classic Aire Care--kept sending out a couple of stellar technicians to check and adjust the system until they got it right. And this was warranty work--we did not pay for anything as they tweaked settings and made the system work in our home. Anthony and Steve are true problem solvers as they continued to address individual parts like the thermostat and fans and they finally got it all worked out so that the system is able to keep our house below 50% humidity. It was a frustrating time but the company has been responsive and supportive. Mike Faszold was also amazing and continually answered my calls and texts during both pre-sale and after install time. This company stands behind its installs and comes through on its promise of good customer service. Check around but believe what they tell you. read more

Called this morning and they were able to fit me in today for a service call. Their technician diagnosed the problem as being a bad circuit breaker and not a furnace issue at all. I appreciated the honesty! He had to leave to get a new circuit breaker and came right back to replace it. I'm happy with the service - prompt and courteous - but I am not thrilled with the high cost. The service call was $89 and a new circuit breaker should cost only $20-$30. I was charged $331.50 total, which I've been told by neighbors is very, very high for such a simple fix...Oh well. At least my furnace turns on now. read more

Sold us a hvac system , less than couple years later the compressor already is failing. Don't seem to care to contact you back once they got your money for new system. Also when they installed it they tried taking short cuts with install. Like asking if i want a new ac line run or use old one and big 4" filter compartment well yes i paid for it. Can't believe this noisy compressor it is rediculous. Now itll cost another $1500. Sold me a pos system if you ask me. read more

This is sort of a double-header, and includes a review for today and from a service call about 2 years ago. This company and their techs are great. Two years ago, a day before we were supposed to head out on vacation, we found our water heater leaking. We called them, they came out quickly, got the permits they needed, and we went on vacation without having to worry about it. This morning, our furnace wasn't kicking in. No vacation plans this year, but the technicians came out quickly, found it was an in-warranty part, and got it replaced quickly. They were smart, knew what they were doing, and professional (and wore masks). We'd absolutely call Faszold first for any HVAC issues down the road. Thanks! read more

Our 24-year-old water heater was leaking like crazy from the bottom seam...at 9:30 PM, just 36 hours before we left town for vacation, of course! I tried a couple of local big-named home improvement stores and never made it through the layers and layers of auto messages and menus. I came to Yelp and searched for "water heaters," and that's how I found Faszold. I left a message and Jason called back immediately. He was calm and cool (me, not so much!), and he walked me through step by step how to get the water heater to stop leaking and how to shut off the hot water. It was easy and fast, and Jason was patient and knowledgeable. He said they'd call back first thing in the morning, and that a water heater could be installed the next day so we could go on vacation as planned. They did call first thing, came out in the early afternoon, and I had hot water by the time I came home from work. I was able to have a hot shower before going to the airport, and left happy that I didn't have to worry at all about the water heater while I was vacationing. Not only that, but I was bracing myself for a crazy expensive bill, since it was on short notice. I had a number in my head that I thought it might be, and the actual bill was less than half of that number. I was very pleased with the work, the customer service, and the hot showers! read more

Had used Faszold years ago but haven't had them out recently. Was always happy. Got out here quick after calling this morning. Nice technician but price for a simple furnace ignitor replacement was high! Diagnosed quicker, fixed quick, but seemed much more expensive than expected. Edit- credit the team at Faszold for reviewing pricing and noticing an error. They called and it's been taken care of. Back in the top of my call list for sure! read more

Don't use Classic Aire Care/Faszold! I called them to do ac service a couple weeks ago. Tech says outside unit isn't to dirty but I'm missing 3lbs of freon. It will cost $500 to replace and $100 per hour to look for the leak. Tech was Brian. I had had ac on couple times already and no issue. I got Johnson Heating & Cooling over and they said no problem, no missing freon. Johnson had installed system 14 years ago. I called Faszold because of $90 dollar service. At least Brian didn't let freon out of my system! Don't use Classic Aire Care/Faszold! read more

Won't call back. Doesn't notify you of recalls or known issues with equipment they sell and install. When you do have a problem they won't return your call. Their "techs" are all just out of school. The people who answer the phone have no concept of how a heat pump works. read more

Really piss-poor service from Faszold Heating and Cooling. I had a service call scheduled today between 8am - 11am. Tech called me this morning to get directions. I informed him at that time that I lived a couple of miles down a country road, and given the weather conditions that we're all aware of, I told him he didn't need to come out today but was welcome to if he felt comfortable in doing so. So, he comes out. First, he gets lost. Then, by the time he does show up his first comment to me out of his van window is "looks like you lost your snow shovel." Kind of thought he was joking around until he says "Guess you thought I had a four-wheel drive truck." Maybe not joking? Icing on the cake, he says "what are you gonna do when I get stuck out here". At that point I informed him that I wasn't going to listen to him mouthing me for the next two hours and gave him leave to exit my property. Look dude - I recognize the weather is bad but it is still the AM directly after a snowstorm. It's not like I didn't give you fair warning about where I lived and weather conditions. Coming onto my property and running your mouth as if you've been put upon is exhibit A on not dealing well with other people read more

Last October we finally decided to call it quits with our 26+ year old heating and cooling system. I had a guy come out from another place and he just pushed how great the company was and what they would do when things broke. I was like I just want a great system without it breaking. I understand the whole we stand behind our product but when you start out with ?When I have to do this horse and pony show" I am pretty much done with you. A friend of mine had a heat pump put in and recommended Faszold. I called them up and they sent out a very nice gentlemen who walked me through the other guys quote and scraped all the fluff back and got me exactly what I wanted that the other guy somehow couldn't understand why I didn't want to pay more for an inferior product. I got a Trane system that is %96.7 Efficient on the heat side and the AC is a 16 SEER efficient. Our old one was %55 and was 20+ years old so more like %40, so every dollar we spent we were throwing $.60 out the roof. Also even though we have a gas furnace we immediately knocked our electrical bill down %80 because the fan in this new furnace is so efficient. The guys showed up and installed the system in less than 4 hours and it looked great. they even hauled away our old system. The one thing I liked was that they saved us more money than the other guys was promising because they were certified by Amren to get us a certain rebate and everything they could get us they did. We now have a much better living condition in our house with cleaner air and with this heat I never even feel it. With it being so efficient we can run it the same amount at a third of the cost. and it cools so much better. I can set it down 5 degrees and it hits that temp in less than 45 minutes. I will be turning to these guys from now on when I need something done with our HVAC system. read more

Ac went out in the middle of the night. Called faszold at 9am that morning. Got an appointment for 2 days later. By 3:15 they called me to say they had a tech open if I had time. Why don't furnaces ever fail in July? Mine went out when it was 10 degrees outside. One call to Faszold and David arrived 2 hours later. He was prompt, courteous, and efficient. He fixed my problem in 10 minutes and clearly explained what had happened. The company I used to use would have tried to sell me a new HVAC system. Called Fazold to see why my a/c unit would not stay running. Matt came and told me it was because of lack of Freon and I most likely had leaks, said it would cost $500 to $1800 to fix, suggested I get a new unit for $7800. Charged me $75 and left. Called a friend in the business to get a second opinion. He came and seen the disconnect was off and put some leak stop in and filled it with refrigerant and it is up and running just fine. He charged me $65. I called Fazold to tell them and they said I'm sorry and refunded my $75 upon my requests. That was it. Guess they got caught on this one. Beware!!!! Get a second opinion! Family business or not, doesn't mean they are honest. read more

Service call for no heat when temps were in single digits. They came the next day and were able to determine the problem - fix was not expensive. We've serviced our Trane AC/Furnace regularly with another company for several years. We switched to Faszold after having a couple of issues with our former HVAC company. Kevin came out promptly within the window the scheduler gave us. He was very friendly professional and efficient. He found some mold in our humidifier pad that he subsequently replaced. We had been having allergy symptoms that disappeared after he discarded the offending pad. We were very happy with the service we received from Faszold and highly recommend them to anyone needing service, repair or replacement of a heating and cooling system. read more

I was very disappointed with Faszold. I told them our condenser fan motor on our Lennox A/C unit was locked up and to have the service tech bring one with him when he came. Shaun showed up on time and I told him what was wrong. He checked the capacitator and confirmed it was ok. He then said the motor is locked up. He said Lennox has specific motors and he would have to get one at a whsl parts warehouse in O'Fallon, Mo. He then proceeded to tell me it would be $540. I told him that was at least $300 too high. Without knowing for sure I said a motor can't be more than $120. I googled the P/N and can buy the Lennox motor on Ebay for $113 with free shipping. Unfortunately it would take 3 days to get it. I then called Scott Lee HVAC in South County and they are selling me the fan motor for $164 and I can pick it up before 5pm today. I can install it in less than an hour! I just saved $376 but unfortunately paid Fazold $65 for a service call. read more

We were looking to replace our entire HVAC and humidifier system, nothing was wrong with our current system but it was getting to the end of it's lifespan. So, we were in no big hurry. We had 3 companies come in and give us suggestions and estimates. All 3 companies recommended basically the same system for our square footage which made the decision come down to warranties, timing and how the representative talked with us. We did our homework (I recommend all potential customers do their homework) prior to all meetings and had a list of questions we asked all 3 companies to see if we would get the same answers. After weighing all 3 quotes, Michael from Faszold presented the best price for the best system with warranties that provided better coverage. Michael actually was the only company that did a heat balance analysis our our home and recommended a system that would be the most beneficial and not higher (and more expensive) than our home needed, even taking into account that we will be finishing our basement including a bedroom and bathroom suite, family room and bar area. Michael was able to work with us on timing so the system was installed on a day when the weather was good and fit our schedule. The team that was onsite to do the install was professional and efficient, removing the old and installing the new in about 7 hours. We would highly recommend Faszold, fortunately we will not need them anytime soon. read more

Our furnace stopped working in January and a family recommended Faszold We had already decided we needed a new furnace and air conditioner as they were 19 years old and every season the heat or air would go out at some point. Faszold installed a energy efficient furnace, air conditioner and hot water heater in less than 24 hours. They transferred my humidifier from the old unit to the new as it was not very old.
