For the fat sandwich, I selected chicken fingers, Mac & cheese bites, onion rings, and bacon. The best part is the fat bastard signature sauce. I don't know what it is, but it tastes really good. Make sure you ask for a dipping cup because you can never get enough sauce. When I ordered the Nutella pie, I was expecting something along the lines of a chocolate cake. Instead, it's literally a pizza pie with Nutella and powdered sugar in lieu of mozzarella and tomato sauce. I definitely will recommend this as a breakfast pastry, but not the best dessert option. All in all, I had a great experience and I look forward to trying their signature thin crust pizza. Maybe this place might be the next Lido's! read more

This was very interesting and I was expecting something different. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good. My husband's sandwich was piping hot - which is the way he loves his hot food served. I loved the open kitchen. The place was small but had a nice vibe. Lots of TV's for sports. My salad was missing the turkey but they brought it out separately when I pointed it out. Was seriously in the mood for a good sandwich and Fat Bastard did not disappoint! I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and it was everything I wanted--flavorful, cheesy, and cooked just right. Joe tried the Clams Oreganata along with the barbecue wings and and order wings tossed in their signature Fat Bastard sauce, and let's just say... those wings were a hit! I don't usually write reviews but I attended their Super Bowl "Watch party" & during the half time show they decided to mute Bad Bunny and change the channel to TPUSA. If the NFL chose him to perform there's no reason for an establishment to bring their personal beliefs into that. Other customers & I were very confused at first until we realized what was going on. We felt very uncomfortable & it left a bad taste in our mouths. It was a younger crowd and we were looking forward to watching. Unfortunately, that was taken away from us. my man sweats this place and always talks about their sandwhiches, and coming from someone who is a very tough eater to please, that says a lot. service can take a bit if you decide to sit in. however, for about $14 i ordered a heart attack for lunch. i ate half here and saved the other half for later. the bread is king here, as it keeps all the fatness inside. he got the fat bastard sandwich minus onions which is his go to. i opted for the make my own. mine had onion rings, melted mozz, fat bastard sauce, melted cheese sauce, fries and mac n cheese bites. the mac n cheese bites were basically bundles of mac n cheese put together and thrown on here. i liked this sandwich a lot, but i think they need to throw more melted cheese or the melted cheese sauce on. id come back for the eggplant parm and some of the apps for sure. read more

Ordered two pizzas for takeout -- The Old Judge and a large plain. Pies were ready when promised, service was fast at checkout for pickup during a bustling time at their bar and in their dining room, and pies looked perfectly cooked before heading home. Both were very good, although we enjoyed the Old Judge more. Parking In the crowded parking lot on a Friday evening during traditional happy hour time, you're immediately hit by the smell of garlic outside the establishment. Deeply rooted in Bergen County's pizza scene, the owner, Anthony Giaquinto, is running this establishment with his two sons as his last hurrah in the restaurant business. Located on the former site of Subway off of Route 46 West in South Hackensack, Fat Bastard and Son's recently opened this past April, and my partner and I paid them a visit for dinner tonight as first-timers. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the host, who escorted us to a table. It's a little dark inside with a pleasant vibe, as a band was setting up on stage. Their menu was extensive and varied, containing all of the usual pizza staples such as wings, salads, soups, burgers, and wraps rounding out with chicken and seafood dishes. For starters, we decided on their rice balls with ground beef, peas, and cheese, with marinara sauce on the side. Known for their Original Old Judge (Thin Crust Pizza), we opted for the Grandma Pizza with mushrooms and extra cheese as the main meal. Our server was Ang(elina), who's very knowledgeable with incredible customer service and brought out complimentary bread with olive oil to start our meal. The rice balls were authentic and flavorful. One suggestion is to leave them a few more minutes, as the middle was cold. The pizza has that perfect crust-to-sauce ratio, and its slices were decent, tasty, and well seasoned. The food was good, the service was pretty quick, the price was reasonable for the area, and the place was neat and clean. Overall, it was a nice experience, which we can recommend. read more

They have zeppoles on the menu... so on top of my order, I get an order, unbeknownst to me, they take a Churro and cut it into pieces and sprinkle powdered sugar on it and call that a zeppole... Every Friday night growing up, it was an Old Judge pie and mussels. When I heard the original family opened a new spot, had to try. Instantly transported back 40 years because it's dead on! Took me way back and man, did they nail it! Mom had the Eggplant Rollatini, wife had the Calamari and Linguine. Fresh and fantastic. I ordered a pie with penne vodka for pick up. They said 20 minutes, no problem but within 10 minutes of me placing the order they called me and said it's done. It tastes like it was and already made pie that they just threw the penne vodka on top and just reheated it. read more

This is a new place and I had some high expectations based on some pictures I saw from their Instagram. We ordered pizza for delivery. The restaurant is close to our home but took a little over an hour for the pizza to be delivered. The pizzas were cold. We ordered one pizza with vodka sauce which to be totally honest - was not good. It was very heavy and tasted like Mac and cheese. Recommend not ordering this pie. We also ordered a pizza with sausage, peppers and onions. They are very kind with the toppings which we always like to see but the pizza itself was not as good as it looked from pictures. It was super thin which we love but very sloppy and very hard to eat. I am thinking it may be better if you eat it at the restaurant when it comes right out of the oven. We also ordered wings with their special sauce. These were very tasty and recommend trying. Their signature sauce was something that was a bit different and so tasty. While we won't be ordering pizza from them anymore for delivery at least, we will be ordering wings and possibly trying out a meal. Their menu is very impressive.
