This was very interesting and I was expecting something different. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good. My husband's sandwich was piping hot - which is the way he loves his hot food served. I loved the open kitchen. The place was small but had a nice vibe. Lots of TV's for sports. My salad was missing the turkey but they brought it out separately when I pointed it out. They probably were better off leaving it off as it was cheap pre-packaged turkey. Sabrina was our waitress and she was very friendly!

    This is a must!!

Was seriously in the mood for a good sandwich and Fat Bastard did not disappoint! I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and it was everything I wanted--flavorful, cheesy, and cooked just right. Joe tried the Clams Oreganata along with the barbecue wings and and order wings tossed in their signature Fat Bastard sauce, and let's just say... those wings were a hit! Service was excellent--friendly and quick. I'll definitely be coming back to try the pizza and a few other things on the menu. This spot is a must if you're craving something satisfying!

my man sweats this place and always talks about their sandwhiches, and coming from someone who is a very tough eater to please, that says a lot. service can take a bit if you decide to sit in. however, for about $14 i ordered a heart attack for lunch. i ate half here and saved the other half for later. the bread is king here, as it keeps all the fatness inside. he got the fat bastard sandwich minus onions which is his go to. i opted for the make my own. mine had onion rings, melted mozz, fat bastard sauce, melted cheese sauce, fries and mac n cheese bites. the mac n cheese bites were basically bundles of mac n cheese put together and thrown on here. i liked this sandwich a lot, but i think they need to throw more melted cheese or the melted cheese sauce on. id come back for the eggplant parm and some of the apps for sure.

Side of sausage and broccoli. Glad I didn't order the meal size. It was sooo flavorful

I had a get together of about 25 friends thr yesterday. 1st time thr..I couldn't have me more pleased! The staff wr so nice and accommodating. The food was the star! Not a bad dish to b had! The portions wr more than generous and great prices. I had the sausage and brocollirabe..others had pizzas, calamari, to name a few. I will b a repeat customer

Ate in never ate from here but always pass it on route 46 since it's close to home. I ordered 2 sandwiches. 1 was the Fat Bastard the other was a Philly Cheesesteaks with 2 drinks. My total was $32 & service was friendly I would recommend if you're hungry while wanting fresh, delicious comfort food Italian style. The bread is fresh & warm just as their other ingredients. The sandwiches are very fulfilling & will leave you full to the brim.

Large plain pizza... Quality was decent.

Ordered two pizzas for takeout -- The Old Judge and a large plain. Pies were ready when promised, service was fast at checkout for pickup during a bustling time at their bar and in their dining room, and pies looked perfectly cooked before heading home. Both were very good, although we enjoyed the Old Judge more. Parking In the crowded parking lot on a Friday evening during traditional happy hour time, you're immediately hit by the smell of garlic outside the establishment. A trip to sample their food on site is definitely on the horizon!

Deeply rooted in Bergen County's pizza scene, the owner, Anthony Giaquinto, is running this establishment with his two sons as his last hurrah in the restaurant business. Located on the former site of Subway off of Route 46 West in South Hackensack, Fat Bastard and Son's recently opened this past April, and my partner and I paid them a visit for dinner tonight as first-timers. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the host, who escorted us to a table. It's a little dark inside with a pleasant vibe, as a band was setting up on stage. Their menu was extensive and varied, containing all of the usual pizza staples such as wings, salads, soups, burgers, and wraps rounding out with chicken and seafood dishes. For starters, we decided on their rice balls with ground beef, peas, and cheese, with marinara sauce on the side. Known for their Original Old Judge (Thin Crust Pizza), we opted for the Grandma Pizza with mushrooms and extra cheese as the main meal. Our server was Ang(elina), who's very knowledgeable with incredible customer service and brought out complimentary bread with olive oil to start our meal. The rice balls were authentic and flavorful. One suggestion is to leave them a few more minutes, as the middle was cold. The pizza has that perfect crust-to-sauce ratio, and its slices were decent, tasty, and well seasoned. The food was good, the service was pretty quick, the price was reasonable for the area, and the place was neat and clean. Overall, it was a nice experience, which we can recommend.

    THE Old Judge!

Every Friday night growing up, it was an Old Judge pie and mussels. When I heard the original family opened a new spot, had to try. Instantly transported back 40 years because it's dead on! Took me way back and man, did they nail it! Mom had the Eggplant Rollatini, wife had the Calamari and Linguine. Fresh and fantastic. I live 2 hours away now, but you can bet I'll be back every time I come home to Lodi to visit mom. Great job guys and good luck!

I like the pizza here but everything else is either hit or completely miss. I order fried calamari,…read moreif they aren't into making and serving calamari I wish they would take it off the menu. Absolutely abhorrently gross. Why the plastic container, why is that texture, why is the oil so old, why is there a bed of lettuce in there......there's too many questions, it's just not worth the risk really. I received it and immediately put $15 in the trash. I'd say it was about $.75 per calamari ring so they owe me $14.25, the rest legit is in my trash can. The delivery was friendly, on time and good

The best three toppings of the baby arrugula salad were the crunchy walnuts, juicy pear slices and bleu cheese crumbles. Although it also includes onions, the chopped vegetable wasn't necessary as the walnuts, pears, and bleu cheese dominated the greens!. This starter goes well with Creamy Italian or White Balsamic Dressing. Vampires, watch out for the soft, spongy garlic knots. They're so pure in flavor and scrumptious that only those nocturnal demons wouldn't enjoy them! Whether you choose your sandwich in the form of a wrap or panini, it's a win-win situation because you'll be satisfied either way. The hoagies are compact and very easy to hold. They were packed so well you won't have to worry about anything falling onto the table! All sandwiches come with a sour pickle and bag of potato chips. Feel free to go Bobby Flay style and crunchify your sammy! It has become my personal tradition to explore the chicken parmesan entree at any Italian restaurant I visit and this did not disappoint one bit! The three cutlets were thinly sliced giving it a crispy taste. The creamy vodka sauce was freshly made in-house. When you dine here, be prepared to indulge in plentiful portions that will make you feel like you are dining like The Sopranos! Managers Dawn and James and employees Justin and Don made me feel right at home from their greeting as I entered the door to their efficient service. #bellapizza #boulevard #hasbrouckheights #babyarugula #garlicknots #pestochickenpanini #chiptoleranch #wrap #chickenparmesan #vodkasauce #localspot #njeats #njfoodie #foodstagram

We ordered via telephone and picked our items up and brought them home. The main event was the meatball parm sandwich. The best meatball parm sandwich I have had. Meatballs were fresh and perfectly seasoned. Not the usual "hard meatballs" you get from a pizza place. Sauce was plentiful and had a great kick to it. Add to it the perfect sound of mozzarella and a sprinkle of parmesan. Absolutely out of this world. The bread, which can ruin a great sandwich, was equally as good. Perfect crisp to the Italian bread. And yes, it was consistent. We ordered 3 meatball sandwiches and 1 sausage sandwich and EVERYONE commented on the bread as well. We also got a Brooklyn Pie. The pie wasn't my speed. A little doughy but I would like to try a traditional round. Again, not my style and we went solely for the meatballs but grabbed a pie as an extra. If you're in the area, you have to try it. If you're an hour away, you still have to try it.

For food, we decided to order a bunch of things to share: -Zucchini fritte (with lemon aioli dipping sauce) - this was thin and perfectly crispy but somehow not oily. It was addicting -Arancini - these were okay. Could have used more meat -Margherita pizza - can't go wrong with a margherita. I do wish the actual crust was thinner -Meatball & Co pizza (meatballs, sweet sausage, cherry peppers, tomato sauce, mozzarella & ricotta cheese) - same with the crust situation. The description also said cherry peppers but they also added jalapenos, which is not a big deal - just a call out. The sausage was alright -Seafood fra Diavolo (sauteed clams, calarami, mussels, spicy tomato sauce) - sauce could have used a bit more spice. They don't skimp on the seafood though. I was pleasantly surprised by the calamari, which can taste rubberband-y but that wasn't the case here -Tiramisu - tasted fridgey/supermarket-bought -Affogato - a nice way to end the meal. Made me wonder why I don't make more affogatos at home Overall, it the meal was fine. Is it something I'd crave for? I don't think so. Well, maybe except that zucchini fritte.
