The crust was perfectly crispy, the tomato sauce was rich and flavorful, and the mozzarella cheese was melted to perfection. My kids devoured their garlic knots Aunt. No food was left standing. Their sauce that came with the garlic knots was tangy and not sweet and overall delicious! Girl behind the counter was very polite and it was very down to earth setting. My kids had a little screen time while we caught up on some emails on our phone and a television on the wall showed some olympics happening. Clean, dark with well spaced tables. Our meals were brought out to us on real plates. (I make note because nothing is more disappointing than being served a takeout container of spaghetti while eating inside.). Generously portioned. The bread was fresh and warm. My friend's sausage looked a little dry. My linguini was al dente. Lots of garlicky oil and tasty rapini. I think the greens had been parboiled. First time here and I was impressed. I ordered 2 pepperoni slices and a plain slice and juice. Maybe I am used to NYC prices, but this was still very reasonable. Visited here twice in a week to try different food options... I'll start by saying they're a bit pricey for a pizza place... So on my first visit I tried a plain slice and the shrimp parm... The slice was actually pretty good but the shrimp parm lacked flavor and wasn't very well prepared... The middle of the sandwich was packed whole the ends had no shrimp or sauce or cheese, just bread... I would not order the shrimp parm again bu the way it was like $14 On the second visit I tried the deep dish pizza and cheesesteak... The deep dish pizza was like eating thick fried bread (never again)... Now the cheesesteak is a different story, I will be returning to have this sandwich again... Although very good still the same problem as the the shrimp parm, the middle of the sandwich is nicely layered while the ends are empty... Yesterday we ordered the grandma pie from Vittorio's and it was amazing! Fresh and hot out the oven crisp Sicilian crust topped with tomato sauce and fresh mutz. First of all, if you want to know if you're getting good pizza, order a slice and eat it fresh from the oven, otherwise take what you can get. If you're accustomed to having your meals delivered - guess what, most places are not running the food fresh from the oven, to the car, and then ringing your doorbell 5 minutes later.
