This was my first time dining at this restaurant. The waitress, Jaz, provided top notch A+ service. She was very polite and thorough with explaining the menu. Because of her outstanding service, this is the only reason I'm giving this place a 3 star rating. We ordered frozen drinks, which turned out to be unfrozen. They tasted good though with the right amount of alcohol. So that wasn't a major issue. On the other hand, the food was a different story. I had the garlic Parmesan wing dinner with mac n cheese and collards. It was horrible!! The collards tasted like they were scorched, and the mac n cheese was extremely dry. The wings were fried, battered with flour and smothered with some garlic concoction. I don't know what that garlic stuff was, but it tasted awful. A total waste of money! read more

I went on a random Thursday, so I had no wait and the service was excellent. ! I tried the strawberry mango lemonade to drink which super sweet. For my appetizer, I got, the FatRollz Platter, and beignets with caramel sauce. For my entrée, I tried the fried lobster tail with mac & cheese and collard greens. I'll definitely be back to try something different on the menu next time. I think this place is worth checking out especially if you live near the area. Everyone was so attentive, I was honestly surprised. When we walked in each server that's passed by let us know the hostess would be right up. We were seated by Quan and he was our server. He was great and we didn't need for anything. Our food was great and fresh. We had fried green tomatoes, burger and fries, grilled chicken ,cheese grits and broccoli. Everything was delicious. My only side eye was that I couldn't sub a side just pay for an extra side, so I just ate what was offered and glad I did. We will definitely be back! read more

I was in the area to go to another restaurant down the street but the wait was too long. So I was about to leave the area until I saw Fat Boiz. I decided to try it and was so glad I did. My friend later joined me and we sat at the bar. Immediately received water and our order of fried chicken and sweet potatoe souffle' with brocolli was excellent. Have been wanting to check this place out for a while . Definitely start with an appetizer , the crab fries were absolutely delicious!! We opted for fish and grits as well as the pasta with chicken. The Alfredo pasta definitely has a more Cajun flavor, but was very good. The grits were seasoned and cooked perfectly, paired with the crispy crunch catfish. The portions are massive, we had leftovers for dinner ;). Prices are a bargain especially given the quality and quantity of the dishes. Will definitely return . read more

I went her to hang out with a friend and grab a bite to eat. The ambiance was pretty chill although it was extremely warm in the restaurant. It was a small establishment so there wasn't a lot of seating but it was still nice. Very clean and the waiting staff were nice. My food was really good. I wanted to Try out this establishment because they are black-owned. its a nice atmosphere friendly greetings and got sat quickly. The server was decent I was asking him about items on the menu and he really didn't know it or told me it looks like the picture lol I was like ok but the one I wanted didn't have a pic and since he couldn't tell me I didn't order it.. the food was good other than the greens too sweet taste like a whole bunch of sugar was added and the sweet potato was not good either. The lobster fries and fried green tomatoes was great. The salmon and catfish was good!! The only complaint I have is the customer service was extremely slow and the staff does need to get trained on the menu and at least try everything so they can explain it to the guest.the food took forever and it was only two tables of two.. The crab fries are nasty I wasted $12 the remoulade sauce was good the fries were nasty considering the wait for to go orders I tried the bourbon wings the girl worked there said they are her favorite ones they were good but the wings are waayyyy too big! The Mac & cheese recipe nerds to be reevaluated as well. Too much flour not enough cheese. It had a mushy yet gritty consistency. Sooo.... I was super excited driving from south Atlanta to come here.. The waitress was a nice young lady but she was very laxed as a waitress. My Tequila sunrise was no tequila all sunrise. The crab fries were cold the crab taste like it was consum with mayonnaise. my daughter chicken was cooked in old grease but the waffles looked beautiful. We found this place after visiting the Southern Belle Farm. I will point out only 1 negative. The music being played was great, but the level was a little too loud. However, the waitress was friendly and hospitable. Our pitcher of water and cups with ice were promptly put on the table (which was great since the temps outside were over 90), also the waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us some guidance. My wife got the fried catfish with rice and broccoli. The breading was perfectly light and crispy, the catfish was cooked perfectly and the rice and broccoli were very tasty. The sauce served though spicy is delicious. My daughter enjoyed the broccoli and macNcheese. I got the grits with shrimp. The grits were the perfect consistency and flavorful with cheese! Also, the shrimp were big, but the waitress said normally they are even bigger and for the "difference" in size she gave me another plate full of cooked shrimp. We all shared them and they were great. We were surprised we didn't have to wait about 5 minutes for such great food. We look forward to returning when we are in the area. The atmosphere is different than most restaurants with the music and the simple design, but don't let that distract you from the delicious food!! :) read more
