Now they do add fruit to your drinks but I really did not taste the Alcohol in mind but another person they could but she don't really drink. The food came out and that took forever as well. Location is in a small shopping complex. Easy parking. Walked in and was told there was an hour wait for a party of six, we agreed to wait and gave the young man our number. Waited over an hour and went back to check, they had forgotten to call us and they had only three tables seating. Shantae was our server, her response time during our entire experience was very slow, like checking on the table , bringing out food, drinks. The table ordered crab fries, Buffalo chicken fries, wings, and shrimp appetizers. Everything was good, the shrimp was brought in a custard or crème brûlée bowl and the sauce was at the very bottom instead of covered in it. We didn't see the sauce until the last shrimp.the fries were very good, I enjoyed the Buffalo better and it wasn't too spicy, I don't do spice. Lemon pepper wings were GREAT! This was our 2nd visit to Fat Boiz. The 1st visit was fine - great food-great service. Our 2nd visit was less than 10 days from the first and it was NOT favorable. The waitress took forever to come and get our order. When she finally came I ordered the catfish dinner and hubby ordered the conch. She left and came back with our drinks. We waited about 20 minutes , and she came back again and said they were out of conch. The restaurant was not very busy so we wondered why it was taking her so long to check on our table. Now by this time we were expecting her to be bringing out the food. Hubby placed an order for the fish and grits. We were both bewildered as to why it took her so long to let us know they had no conch. She left again. After 25 minutes we decided to leave, as we were getting up she appeared with the food. I immediately knew that my food had been sitting under a warming lamp til they could make his meal - the rice and grits on my plate were both cold. The broccoli was tepid. I asked her to bring fresh rice and she did. We ate - his food was fine. As we paid the waitress apologized. Had we gotten the same service and food on our first visit we would not have come back. I stopped by while in town for some quick apps and drinks. Upon entering, there is a strong aroma of food frying and the place wasn't crowded, good for me. We were sat in about 5 minutes. Our server Keisha greeted us and we ordered our food. The food came out pretty quick, good for me. The fried green tomatoes were delicious, we had the bacon omitted and there is a sprinkling of mozzarella cheese on it. It's not hot enough to be gooey cheese but delicious nonetheless. The crab fries, yummy yummy and the salmon egg rolls were crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside. I also ordered a mystery rum punch and that was very good too. (I don't recommend eating on the patio). The live music was very loud (it was hard to have conversations at dinner or hear our server). It would have been nice to have music played without profanity, since children and older adults were present. This was my 1st visit and I'd heard great reviews. I don't think I'll return. This was me and my family first time visiting the restaurant. We had a reservation for 5pm and the table wasn't ready when we got there. Once we set down we waited roughly 15 minutes for a server to come to us. Once one came we ordered drinks and then waited another 15 minutes for the server to come back to get our orders. The food came out like 45 minutes later but one by one. Of course we felt rush due to them closing soon and then they started to pack up the restaurant. The DJ was the best thing overall. It took the waiter 25 minutes to approach the table and want greeted. The server was subpar wasn't rude, just didn't greet herself, and real short. We ordered sweet and spicy wings. Wasn't really spicy or sweet. I ordered the po boi with catfish. It took the food 30 minutes to come out and the crab fries were cold and catfish was slimey and falling apart. Then they were out of the sauce after already waiting. If I was to come again I would order the pasta my date had that. And get it to go.I honestly would rate it a negative -5/10 read more
